Good location close to transport, friendly helpful staff, clean, great food and service No indoor swimming pool so we couldn't enjoy the pool as we went during the rainy season We stayed at the Majestic Grande for our honeymoon during our stay in Bangkok. We found the hotel to be located in a quiet area yet accessible to shops and transport. The staff were very friendly and helpful always assisting us whenever we had any questions or enquires. We had advised them that we were on our honeymoon and arrived to find special honeymoon cake and flowers presented beautifully in the room. The service was great and room service for food came quickly. The breakfast buffet had a great variety for us to choose from. The room was always made up as new whenever we went out. My husband and I couldn't have been happier with out stay at the Majestic Grande.
Shopping Tip : Instead of taking a taxi to the main shopping area. A 5 minute walk to the nearest train station will take you straight to the Siam shopping area. It's quick and convienent.

food boxed breakfast/sandwich was awful (cold cheese slice inside cold bread slices); elevators tend to be slow. My home away from home in Bangkok is the Majestic Suites. Lobby and rooms are immaculate, service is 5-star, the executive top-floor lounge is my oasis in the sky for business and entertaining. I especially enjoyed cocktails with great Italian fare and live music in the late evenings after a good massage.

The hotel is in a great location close to all the best shopping and lots of great places to hang out close by The food was nothing flash and breakfast was the same everyday.
The pool was alos pretty small and very close and not all that clean We arrived late at night and had no problems with our check in. The room was not very big but it was clean and the bed was very nice. The bathroom was also pretty small with just a shower in the bath which I didn't like. It had a well stocked mini bar but the prices were pretty high so we didn't use it much. Internet access was also way to expensive!
Shopping Tip : MBK Shopping centre was excellent with evry thing you need and very cheep.

Cleanliness I stayed three nights at this hotel. When I arrived they didn't have a room for me but the reception staff worked through it and I was given a great room on the 22nd floor. The room was great value. Staff was very accommodating although one of the check in chicks growled when I arrived the others at the reception were ok.
I would stay here again. The problem with only two lifts that others have mentioned was not a problem during my stay although during busy periods it could be an issue.
Can't give an opinion on the restaurants or breakfast because I didn't get up early enough - something to do with lots of Singha beer ;-)
Restaurant Tip : Check out the Isan restaurant just off soi 4 (Nana). Cut through carpark opposite hotel and when you get to Soi 4 turn right and walk down a little way until you see the sign to the Isan restaurant to the left.

The location to the BTS skytrain is exelent. The rooms is very nice. We have been at Majestic Grande once before and did not hesitated to go back. The deliver what they promes to do on there web page.

A good value for my money.
A very attentive staff in all areas.
Always felt comfortable and appreciated during my stays. Wish I could have stayed longer!
I feel that the internet connection fees are a little high, but still a good connection. I have been staying at the Majestic Grande Hotel at different times of the year since 2005, having stayed in every type of room offered and have never been unhappy or dissatified with the accomodation or services.
Since the first stay, I have always been treated well and the staff always friendly, helpful and appreciative.
The Dine@7 restaurant has been adding new and different dining delights over the years and I have always found the food tasty and superbly prepared. And my waistline has shown for it more than once!!
I will continue to stay at the Majestic Grande Hotel because it is a good value for my money and never a hassle to book a room vie the internet, a quick phone call or just to drop in and ask for a room. And the hotel has done many little, but greatly appreciated, things for me over the years.
The Majestic Grande Hotel is number one for me.
Nightlife Tip : A variety of nightlife within walking distance of the hotel and a wide range of dining choices too.

Quiet and relatively clean area. Food, especially breakfast of high standard. easy to find a taxi....but had to insist on having the meter switched on!!! It was not easy to arrange an appointment for the spa & massage. Unfortunately, as almost everywhere in Bangkok, we could not communicate easily in English. A great pity....the price of WiFi access in the room was high. Breakfast, although quite good, was too repetitive....same thing every morning...some variety would have been appreciated. This is a very nice hotel, with pleasant & helpful staff. Some of the rooms can be small, and if at all possible, I would recommend upgrading to larger rooms. The swimming pool was a bit small. The Italian Restaurant "Scaz" was very nice with a good & pleasant selection of music. However, the wines were too pricey.
Travel tip : Taxis were easy to hire, but insist on the meter being used...avoid Tuk Tuks, they charge 3 times a taxi fare....easy enough to get to most shopping & entertainment areas. There is a very good & efficient tailor (Vashi) within walking distance. Seven Eleven & Family Mart mini-markets are also close....nice quiet area....Enjoy!!!

Online reservation worked well and was convenient. Room rate was reasonable.
On arriving staff was efficient, friendly and attentive. Checking in was painless and pleasant. When we opened the door to our room there were no lights on and we could not find any switches to turn the lights on. We were fumbling around for quite a while trying to locate the switch. I finally saw the slot for the room key and figured out that it had to go in in order to activate the lights and air conditioning. Since I have never stayed at this hotel (nor have I come across this particular system) it would have been helpful if we were informed at check in on how to activate lighting. It is a great system, I particularly like the fact it requires the room key to be in the slot - since the cards are easily misplaced. Just a quick "How to" from staff would have been nice.
The room itself was a bit on the small side, but clean and conformable with a nice view of the skyline. Bathroom was clean with excellent hot water, but also on the small side. For two 6 foot Americans the room seemed a bit cramped, but all in all reasonably comfortable. Next time I will opt for the larger rooms if available.
The main restaurant was nice. We particularly liked the window seat with the Coy swimming at our feet. Very cool. Service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. The food was quite nice and prepared as ordered. Entertainment was nice also.
Coffee Shop: The inclusive breakfast buffet was nice with a good variety of food. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The lunch menu could have included a few more Thai dishes.
Checkout was easy and efficient. I also appreciated being able to keep my luggage in the lobby while I shopped for the afternoon.
The location of this hotel is excellent. Within walking distance to the Sky Train, great restaurants and entertainment we will definitely be back and will also recommend this hotel to our friends.
Restaurant Tip : The Ploen Chit center is just up the street with an excellent Lebanese restaurant. There is also a nice grocery store in the basement which was handy for buying water and snacks.

Clean, nice staff, good food. Hotel is clean and the rooms are very well maintained. The breakfast buffet is very nice. I don't usually hang around in hotels so I did not use all the facilities. I did however use the gym and it is adequately equiped and staffed by a very helpful young man. Rooms are not as spacious as the President Solitare but you have to balance that with's central location.

location and service by the reception staff especially there are no real downsides to this hotel. it is a 4 star hotel in the middle of bangkok and the realities of bangkok are common to all hotels in the central part of bangkok I stay at this hotel on my international stopovers.I selected it initally as I used to live in a nearby Soi when I was a Bangkok resident in 1996 and I wanted to stay where I could find my way about.I found the service very good and the staff friendly and the hotel is in a location that is reasonably central.I continue to stay there and see no reason to move hotels as it fills all my requirements.taxis are realitivity easy, they all know the area no problems at all

Very clean, very friendly, very helpful.
Only a short walk to Sukhumvit and the Skytrain.
Rather high price wireless Internet - even though it is quite fast. This is a delightful hotel. Great staff and close to the Skytrain. We make it a habit of staying there and the staff is extra friendly to friends.
Shopping Tip : Villa Market and excellent Mediterranean restaurant at Pleonchit Center.
