I have stayed at the Manhattan off and on for 10 years. The hotel still offers excellent value for money and the location is brilliant.

crazy area
korean restaurant in the hotel
5.3
Hotel itself wasn't too bad considerig the price despite it wasn't so clean and old.I really didn't like the area where the hotel is.It is in the very busy area. It is too busy, crowded, bad traffic and dirty. It wasn't pleasnt at all going out for a walk but close to the metro station. I definately prefer more quiet and cleaner area.

Great value for money in a main area
Spacious, near BTS and MRT, good breakjfast choice. friendly staff, big personal safety box to store a small lap top.
9.7
This wonderful old hotel may have lost the glamour in her hey day but still a comfortable place to stay. The room is very spacious and all fittings are in good working order. The staff, from reception to housekeeping are approachable and tried their best to attend your need. The breakfast is wonderful. The swimming pool is a bit deep but good enough to do some laps. The hotel is close to the BTS and MRT. With the new train is now running, the city station Mekkason is just a short distance away. I definitely will come back to stay again.
Travel tip:
If you use the new train from the airport, get off at Mekkason station, walk to Petchaburi MRT station. Get off at Sukumvit station and walk to the hotel.

Review manhattan hotel Bangkok.
Handy to 1 sky train 2 good and often cheap eateries nearby. It's just off Suhkumvit road and not so noisy.
8.7
Have stayed before, and the hotel staff are still very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and adequately appointed, The tour desk was very helpful with good advice on different options. The breakfast selection has been cut back but still very adequate. To get to the pool was quite difficult for not so ambulant people this is probably due to renovations maybe ok in future?
Travel tip:
Booking through Agoda was cheaper than direct booking and was very efficient

Arrived very early at the hotel, staff was very friendly and I could check into my room already at 9am. Room had a nice bathroom, comfortable bed. Breakfast in the hotel is quite nice.
Location is great, taxi from airport about 300 baht, close to skytrain stations as well.
Staff was very good to me. Allowing me to check in early after coming of a night bus and very attentive when I had late flight the next day.

The location is good, convenient for things going on in the Sukhumvit area but not actually on a noisy side street. Generally the quality of the premises was good at the price. The breakfast was surprisingly good - fried eggs which were actually hot. The only really difficult thing was having to access the excellent swimming pool via the third floor and then down several flights of stairs. The on line tariff is very attractive.
Restaurant Tip:
Right on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 15 where the Manhattan is located is the wonderful Yong Lee restaurant - economic, real and 100 years old.

repeat customer
location, buffet breakfast, in-room safe
8.3
The bottom line: This was my fourth stay this year and I will look to book this hotel again on my next visit. There is nothing fancy about this hotel, but is very good value for the relatively low price. Clean and comfortable rooms with in-room safe, mini-bar, cable TV, tea/coffee maker. Great location, close to skytrain and subway stations, easy access to expressway, about 20-25 min to airport at 6am.
