During ous stay it was noisy because of ongoing constructio opposite the hotel
The hotel staff was very cooperative to arrange an adjoining room for me and my family
Shopping Tip : The hotel is not far away from the main shopping centers

Ultra friendly hotel at a good price and a convenient location.
This is always my first choice when I stay in Bangkok. A good steady three star favorite that represents excellent value for money, with very friendly staff, an excellent (and under-rated) coffee shop plus a great location. The whole of the central Sukhumvit area is walkable, and the Silom-Suriwong business district is usually only about 15 to 20 minutes away in a taxi.
Travel tip : If you cannot get a taxi immediately right outside the hotel, a 1 minute stroll down to Sukhumvit Road will ensure success.

-Location, close to the BTS
-Good value for money
-Hotel feels old and dated
-Horrible fitness room
The Manhattan feels and looks like an old hotel. The hallways, elevators and general facade of the building have an old appearance. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished. I understand most hotels don't have very thick walls but I felt like I could hear everything the people next to me were doing.
Staff were friendly and polite, the restaurant had a good breakfast including hot and cold items. The hotel is only a few minutes walk away from the Asok BTS. The internet rates at the hotel were very expensive.

Rooms not as nice as the photos suggest. Pool was a disappointment.
The hotel is in a great location just off Sukkhumvit Rd yet still quiet in the rooms. The rooms are getting a bit run down and are not as nice as the photos would have you believe. Breakfast was okay and I've had far worse. The pool was a bit hard to find but served it's purpose.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Nana Plaza is a real eye opener.

- Location
- Helpful staff
- Small dark room
- Restaurant could improve
The staff was helpful but not necessarily friendly. The location was ok; I was able to easily get to shopping centers and entertainment areas. Apparently the hotel needs some maintenance; it needs to remodel the rooms and the bathrooms.

good location , reasonable rates
this is a reasonable hotel choice at the top of soi 15, well positioned not far from BTS station and near enough to stroll to bars or shops
the hotel is old and getting older , service is ok, breakfast not special , rooms large but tired decor. should be alright for lovers of horizontal folk dancing . The beds are solid .the TV works .
The pool is a waste and a big negative for me , no sun means no way I will relax there
Restaurant Tip : soi 11 for great tapas

Location is good.
Swimming pool.
The outside hotel taxi counter is too expensive.
I love to stay on Sukhumvit Road because it is very convenience to get around. Manhattan Hotel is in a good location, just 2-3 minutes walk from the main road. It is value for money too. Breakfast is not bad but should change some in the menu everyday. Staffs are very helpful and very friendly. One thing is annoying you is the sound from a construction building every morning. I still recommend this hotel as 3 stars in a good location and value for money.

Although we've been upgraded for free to a so called "executive" room, this hotel has nothing decent to offer, except its location. The "executive" room we stayed in has nothing more to offer than a standard room elsewhere. Stay there only if you need to spend a couple of days in Suk area.

Nice, clean hotel with spacious rooms and above average breakfast buffet.
Bathrooms little outdated but clean.
I stayed at several hotels in the upper Sukhumvit area before but the Manhattan surprised me with its excellent value for money. At soi 15, about 100 m from Sukhumvit the hotel is in walking distance from both Nana BTS station and Asok BTS and MRT stations. Though well located the hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood and does not suffer from road traffic and noise. I got a free upgrade to a deluxe room which is a very spacious one indeed. There is a large safe, TV and fridge. The breakfast and its friendly staff is a definite plus for this hotel. Best value for money in this neighbourhood.
Restaurant Tip : The old German beerhouse at soi 13 not only serves a variety of Western beer and dishes but also excellent Thai food for a decent price.

-It is walking distance to BTS and MRT stations. \n-Buffet breakfast was good especially the bacon\n-Look for Owen the porter, he will give you tips in going around the city such as taxi rates.
-It took some time for our towels to arrive
Manhattan hotel has a very good location. It just takes a five minutes walk from the hotel to the train stations. The trains are your access to the major places in Bankok such as Chatuchak, MBK and Jim Thompson's House. In addition, their staff are courteous and helpful. They will give you traveling tips and directions on how to go to places. You can also ask them to book you for a thai massage in your room. I will recommed this hotel with my friends and family who will be visiting to Bangkok.

3* comfort at 2.5* prices - best value for location I know of in the central Sukhumvit area.
I have been coming to Thailand for over 30 years, usually to visit Bangkok and Chiangmai. Until about 10 years ago I would always "shop around" for the best value deal in Bangkok at my preferred location. That was before I tried The Manhattan. I have been a regular ever since. It meets all my requirements on value for money/location/well-run business/customer-friendly staff and is still charging 2.5* prices for a 3* establishment. I don't need to look anywhere else.
Travel tip : Change your money at the exchange booth outside Robinson's (5 minutes walk at Soi 19) - don't change it in the hotel where the rates are not so good.

Great Location, good Price and Good Service
Bathroom accessories need to be improved.
The rooms are good size, nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. Location is excellent for Cheap shopping, good traditional massages and Night life. Coinceirge staff is very helpful in showing you the places to go, help you book htem and advice where to go and how. Sky train is very near and can take you to most attractions. The market near the hote is Cheap, the same stuff is available in MBK at higher prices. There a planty of restaurants nearby offering all sorts of foods like arabic, pakistani, indian, labnese, fast foods etc. Overall a very nice experience ....great value for money.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Contact hotel Coinceirge.

Very convenient and easy.
Agoda rates too cheap, and the people who run the place want it to be high end. So they are not very accommodating.
I like that hotel is usually available and cheap, but I would not stay for more than a night or two. I much prefer to switch to a nicer hotel in the same area. There are plenty that are easier to deal with and have nicer employees.
Hotel Feature Tip : There are quite a few nearby hotels cheaper and more pleasant. Check in Manhattan for night or two and then stop in the others as you are walking by to check availability.
