It is great location just a few minutes from main street. There are plenty of restaurant sround there. It is value for money(40USD).

Sauna is under constraction, all the equipment of gym is broken. Many foreighner with there \"night friend\" is in the Hotel, means not good for family stay.

My flight back to Tokyo was 6AM , did not have a time to take a breakfast so I asked reception breakfast box.Next morning Hotel actually provided it but......it was just one small piece of sandwich in the dirty plastic bag, no juice, no fruits.Stuff at the Reception handed it to me without looking at me just watching TV.

The location is key to staying at this hotel. It's connected right to the Skytrain. Plus, it's on Sukhumvit Road, which is near the shops and restaurants.

The rooms really in desperate need of total makeover, especially the bathroom. They have lived their days. I wouldn't feel comfortable staying in the room too long because it's too gloomy inside.

I like this hotel for its convenient location. Stepping out the door is the Skytrain station. For anyone who's been to BKK knows the traffic problem well. At certain times of day, the Skytrain offers the best alternative to get around, even to the taxi.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is close to many shops and restaurants. Plus, it's so close to the public transit that makes getting around so easy.

- redecorated rooms are nice - location is great

- avoid taxi service outside the hotel

Stayed here many times before, overall price/quality was going down year by year. Finally they are doing some redecoration, the redecorated rooms are nice, again good price/quality ratio. Staff is friendly, restaurant is excellent (bit overpriced though), the hotel has a good location. Only thing to avoid is the taxi service outside the hotel, they charge waayyy too much ! Will stay here again (but want redecorated room)

Good location, nice pool, friendly staff

House keeping very slow to react when asked for amenities took almost 02 hours to supply

hotel location is very good, having friendly staff and nice pool in a 3 star hotel. This time we enjoyed the services of Spa located at first floor, over all hotel is very good except if you are having some business appointment out side Sukumwit should have enough time to get out of heavy traffice around sukumvit area

Shopping Tip : on the main sukumwit you can always buy some souveniers etc comparatively for cheaper price

Good location and close to skytrain.

Pool needs updating and cleaning.

This is good value for your money for the location you are staying in. The place is a bit impersonal and dark but for the money you pay its not so bad. Rooms are clean and water free daily. Shower pressure is very strong which is great. Lots of TV channels to choose from and free slippers included! Staff are nice but Internet is way too expensive for a business hotel. The bar is not a bar and you are charged for service on every drink which is a bit ridiculous.

pool

food

The food was not bad, I have had better elsewhere and I feel bad trying to find a con. Staff were very helpful and the pool though hard to find was a haven from sun and smog. Location is hard to beat with air train and subway within easy 5 minutes walk. Hotel spa is reasonably priced compared to other hotels even though I only get my massages from Wat Po, first on right as you leave the jetty #6. Always smile in Thailand and enjoy.

Restaurant Tip : Suda restaurant near air train steps 20 metres up the lane from teak house on even numbered soi side of Sukhumvit road. Feed an elephant maybe as you dine and enjoy great food. I always eat here at least once when I am in Thailand.

1) the breakfast is good 2) location is good 3) the massage in the hotel is good

1) the hotel is too old... 2) the outside hotel taxi counter is too expensive

1) good location! we can go to the famous pubs we want near this hotel! 2) We asked the taxi counter to hire a taxi to go to Baiyoke Sky Hotel, we had a deal that it was by meter. However, when we got there, the meter shower 53B, but the taxi driver asked for 100B! 3) After checking out, we asked the taxi counter to hire a taxi to go to Khao San Rd, but he said there is a protest over there! The roads are closed. We can't go there. And it's very dangerous....but his driver would try to take us over there...only 500B....when we got there....Nothing happened!!!!

Shopping Tip : it's near Asok station! you can go to siam or other places easily.

Swimming pool

oldish - needs reno

This hotel is in a very good position near airtrain and subway within 5 muns. the only way the travel, or by boat..Avoid the bitumen but if you must use metered taxis and be kind and pay what is on meter plus about 50% tip. It is not a lot of money and you will receive better service and bigger smiles. Elsewhere 20/40 baht tip is ussually sufficent. No tips for tuk tuk ride to hell. They are hot and will lie and take you via expensive tailors and gems ect for petrol stamps or vouchers. Cheaper tuk tuk longer ride. nothing is shut unless you are told by hotel foyer. Trust them. this hotel is good value for what you pay via agoda.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : wat po massage - first on right as you exit ferry.\nthey have a cartoon out front that looks like man turned into pretzel. I have ben to Bangkok 7 times. This is the best..All staff certified qualified. Mention my name for a bigger smile and see if you can not give at least 100 baht tip. I can't. Always smile in Amazing Thailand and good fortune to you fellow travellers. VINNY\nPS one more tip --- use only agoda.

Tidy and budget

the same breakfast everyday, the travel agent in the hotel is dishonest about the Taxi.\nGo to the doorman for Taxi, never travel agent!

Manhattan is a hotel worth to stay, it's a good value for the price. They have buffet breakfast just need to show your key. The room is clean and provide shampoo and even slipper and robe.\nThe travel agent will try to tell you need a 900 baht to airport, don't even give them a shit. It'll be less than 300 baht to the airport.\nThey started to collect the dishes at about 9:40am when some of the guests still having their breakfast which they shouldn't do that.\nI will definitely stay there again next time to Bangkok. Highly recommend it.

Shopping Tip : This hotel is just nearby robbison department store.\nMRT and BTS station are very close, easy to get to everywhere.

Close to the end of the soi with a short walk to Robinsons, food stalls, Asia Books, and the Sky Train. Rooms were comfortable and well maintained. The hotel provides for wireless internet access at a very reasonable rate.

The cable provider chosen by the hotel only airs Fox News, which if you have fascist views of the world is fine but if you are at all centrist or God forbid to the left, you will need intensive therapy upon checking out.

The Manhattan is among the breed of clean and attractive hotels designed for middle class but budget conscious travellers. This kind of hotel is rapidly disappearing in Bangkok with the majority shifting to either unaffordable 5-star luxury hotels or 1 and 2 star holes in the wall for back packers. The hotel is actually quite attractive physically and staff are very courteous and professional.I would recommend that the hotel consider putting more artwork on the walls of its rooms though the dark wood panelling and molding help to compensate for this deficiency.

Good bath (when you've lived in Thailand a while you appreciate it). Friendly concierge and staff.

No iron on floor or room.

Good value for money hotel. Room was fine and near Sukhumvit so getting a taxi is easy. Getting anywhere in the taxi is a different matter though. I would probably go back again in the future but that depends on what area of Bangkok I need to be in for business.

Hotel Feature Tip : Replace your mini bar at the mini mart at the end of the street. If your a cheapskate like me.

Excellent value for money. Excellent location. Friendly and professional staff. Breakfast included in the price.

Construction work in the area can make sleeping after 09:00 AM challenging, depending upon what part of the hotel you are in.

The Manhattan has been my home away from home in Bangkok. Although I have had to stay at other hotels in the Sukhumvit area because I booked too late, I always come back to the Manhattan because its such a much better value than all the others I have tried. The location is great - right around the corner from a Skytrain station, near shopping, lots or restaurants, and nightlife. I have friends who come to Thailand for vacation and spend the whole week at the Manhattan. It is that good.

Travel tip : Tip the bellman when you check in and he will be sure to take care of you during your stay. Tip him more and he will likely slip the morning paper under your door every morning.
