I always have been a fan of Manhattan Hotel. One of the best location a hotel can be placed with such a cheap price. Rooms maybe simple unlike newer hotels but they are nice and comfortable to sleep in. Hotel staffs are very friendly, extend their utmost welcome and help when needed and they can converse in English easily.

Good value
Friendly staff
Good position
Clean rooms

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, although the intermittent internet was frustrating. I have stayed before when I had an excellent suite. This time I had a smallish room. The bathroom and facilities were OK, but the room shook with the vibration of the washing machines in the morning. The hotel was full so I guess I got the last, so worst room. Overall it was OK though.
Shopping Tip:
I can recommend the tailor next to the hotel - George's. Excellent work for reasonable prices.

6 days at Manhattan Hotel
Hotel's accessibility to public transport such as BTS and the train which is only a stone throw away is plus factor.Around the hotel there are different eatries to cater for one's pocket. Hotel is generally clean with friendly staff.
8.3
It's a medium size hotel, located a short distance of the main road. Love the location because it is a walking distance to the Asok BTS station and the underground train. Taxis are ever present here. There is also a night market on the main road and many restaurants.A few shopping complexes. From the hotel quite a number oftouristic places are accessible via public transport.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you have not book for any tours before coming to Bangkok, the tour counter at the hotel lobby provides reasonably priced packages. Found that the tour prices offered are generally 30% cheaper than those offered on the internet.

Very good but can get better
Room itself with red furniture. Very nice bathroom, excellent TV with working remote.
7.3
There is no free wifi access in the room. When I asked for an espresso coffee for my breakfast, my wish was refused by the waitress. Even there is an espresso machine located just aside the buffet area. The english knowledge of most of the staff is very poor. Otherwise the staff at the reception / front desk is very friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Easy access by skytrain going to the bus terminal for the airport or other cities.

Manhattan Hotel Bangkok
A pretty good location - close to all the action .
Very quiet - no street noise.
The staff were all very nice .

For the price , this hotel is only average . It is in serious need of an overhaul . It's location is quite good & the staff we encountered were friendly , helpful & seemed to enjoy their work .
For another you can move up to another level of hotel in Bangkok . I doubt if I would recommend this hotel in it's present condition.
Nightlife Tip:
Sukhumvit/Soi Nana are just around the corner.

6 Days in Bangkok
Right in the city, with public transport a short walking distance away. Close to eateries, night market, shopping complexes.
hotel is clean and staf friendly
8.3
The hotel location is not far from the main highway and a walking distance to BTS and underground train. With these two public transport one can virtully travel all over Bangkok. Metered Taxis are available outside the hotel. Many shopping malls and restaurants along the main road to cater for the different budget of the tourist. The night market offers a wide range of souvenirs which are reasonably priced.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you have not booked for day tours you can book from the tour counter at the hotel lobby. Prices are lower compared with other companies nearby or on the internet

A Decent Stay
Clean rooms, great location, good breakfast, professional staff
8.3
The hotel was great in that the rooms were clean. There were a lot of bars and clubs as well as the subway close to hotel. The internet was expensive and had a terrible connection. For the price, the hotel was a good stay. I would stay again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
This hotel is located on one of the most popular streets in Bangkok. With this being said, it is not a quiet location for a hotel. If you prefer a little peace and quiet as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the street, I suggest you stay on one of the higher numbered soi's.
