Excellent Value, Excellent Location
A very well placed Hotel staff good and freindly food good rooms good size
9.3
This hotel is for the budget traveler. It is located one small block from Sukumvit Road - many shopping stalls and restaurants within walking dostance. The hotel is what it is - for the budget traveler. If a traveler is interested in a 4-5 star hotel Manhattan is not the one they should stay at but if they are looking for a place t stay for a few days then it is a good selection.

Manhattan Hotel good for the price
Perfect location; clean big rooms
7.7
Comfortable rooms with a very helpful staff. Again, ideal location. Near to Skytrain.
As always location is the most important thing I look for in a hotel. And The Manhattan Hotel could not be better located. It is near to the Skytrain, plus there is plenty of shopping nearby, as well as nightlife. The rooms have very comfortable beds, and are well appointed. And the hotel staff are very helpful.

Manhattan Hotel good for the price
Staff courtesy, good breakfast
7.7
The courtesy of the staff was good. They were very helpful and quick to respond to contigencies. The hotel is located very near to Robinson and the BTS and quite a few eateries so it was never a problem getting around. Could do with extensive renovation and recarpeting though.

Centrally located modest hotel
Very close to the Skytrain at Asoke station. Close to Sukhumvit Rd, but far enough away to not hear the noise. Staff very efficient and courteous. Rooms quiet and clean
7.3
I was pleasantly suprised with the efficiency of the hotel. The only discordant note is that only registered guests are allowed in the room. Every other Bangkok hotel I have stayed at allowed visitors in your room, some requiring a photostat of their I.D. card. I have travelled the world and never met this archaic policy before. Felt like a schoolboy. Otherwise the hotel is good value. The food in the breakfast buffet needs to be put on a warming plate, the fried eggs were always undercooked (unhealthy) and cold. On the whole a good value hotel.
Shopping Tip:
A good supermarket located in the basement of the Robinson's Store on Sukhumvit Rd, Asoke.

Needs renovation
- Location near Sukhumvit and Asok BTS
- Big rooms
- Really helpful staff
6
This hotel needs badly renovation and can not compete with the other smaller, nicer and modern hotels in the near location.

Smelly, roach infested hotel
Nothing. Maybe location if you want to walk to pick out a date.
2.7
The kind of hotel where you don't even want to sit on top of the bedspread because everything just feels that gross. We only had about 6 hours here, between flights from Phuket and back to home. I wouldn't have made it more than that. I've said it all in the cons, above. Really, as if the roaches (only ones we encountered in our hotels in Thailand) and the smelly, unclean feeling weren't enough, they didn't give our 3:30am wake-up call. Thank goodness we had an alarm of our own or else I would have been irate at missing our flight. Avoid this hotel. There are better ones for the same rate.
