location, free limited parking directly in front of hotel
Unfriendly staff at recption area. Fitness center or gym is a joke. Wifi is not free, had to pay 100 baht for one hours use or something very close to that amount.
The first night I walked in to this hotel without reservation due to an unexpected delay in my traveling plans. The staff made me feel as if it was a burden for me to get a room or to stay here. Not a single friendly smile or greeting from anyone. Note: I was well dressed, groomed, no body odor and traveling with the proper identification.
The next day I booked the same room for an additonal night through agoda for less, but only after going down to reception and paying for a password to use the hotel's wifi for one hour. I went to the fitness center to workout and found it was a joke, why do they even state they have one. The only thing in the tiny room that was not 30 plus years old was a situp bench, everything else (which is to say three or four items) can be placed in a museum or trashed. Since I could not workout I ate breakfast which was decent with a nice variety. I will not stay here again, can find better for the price.
Travel tip : There is a fitness center a few blocks up the main road from the hotel. There is also a pharmacy near the fitness center that sale protein powder at a reasonable price.

Nice rooms, many recently redecorated, the others have newer furniture.
Construction noise in the mornings.
This visit was not as good as in the past. Noise from the karaoke place next to the Southern end of the building kept me awake until 02:00 in the morning, and then loud banging from the construction site across the street woke me up again at 06:00 in the morning. My wife slept as if at home. Fortunately, the breakfast buffet put me back in fairly good spirits. The room had new furniture, thought it had not been redecorated in a decade.
Travel tip : Ask for a room on the opposite side from Soi 15 and you should not have any issues with noise.

Staff courtesy, good breakfast though the spread never varies
Old rooms, need to be reworked and recarpeted. Internet rates are impractical
The courtesy of the staff was good. They were very helpful and quick to respond to contigencies. The hotel is located very near to Robinson and the BTS and quite a few eateries so it was never a problem getting around. Could do with extensive renovation and recarpeting though.
Nightlife Tip : Right next to Flava in Dream2 which is an awesome bar with excellent ambiance.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, good enough breakfast buffet.
Construction work across Soi 15 from the hotel.
The Manhattan is still my favorite hotel in Bangkok. Maybe its because the staff has always treated me well, or maybe its because I can count on a good night's sleep and a decent breakfast at their very consistent breakfast buffet, or maybe it because they are so close to Sukhumvit Road that I can easily drop off packaged when I am out shopping. The rooms are clean, the beds are really nice, and the staff is very good. The price is about right -not the newest hotel on the block, but one of the best, and modestly priced.
Travel tip : Tip the bellman well and he might leave a newspaper under your door in the morning. In any case, he will appreciate it.

friendly front office, rooms have enough space, in the middle of night life, 3 minutes walk to BTS Ashok sky train.
coffee shop is not welcomming, breakfast not continental, mostly porks available(sausage/ham) for breakfast no more chicken or beaf.
the hotel keeps peaceful and secure environment, there is a guards in the hotel floors. the rooms are good but they never change, tooth brush and razer in the toilet, i stayed a week they never provide new one. coffe shop is said to be open for 24hrs, but they keeps lights dim and there is no one inside the coffee shop at nights, so even its open they never like to service at night. internet charges are high, and for breakfast there is no beaf or chicken available, pork susages and ham available. for those don't like pork have to take only omlet and bread jam. hotel area/location is good, easy transport and a mc donalds is open 24hrs within 3 mins walk. hotel staffs are good.
Nightlife Tip : restaurants and night life very near, easy transport, 3-4 mins walk to BTS skytrain.

We like the stay at the hotel because the hotel was very close to the beach and the market. The behavior of the staff was very good. The quality of the breakfast given to us was very good. The interior of the room and the things provided in the room like electric cattle t.v. etc. Was in good working condition.

This hotel I believe was an RnR hotel from the days of the Vietnam war.It is fairly dated, and requires a major overhaul.Adjacent to the entrance a new hotel is being built, and will detract from the limited sun light and views currently enjoyed.
This is my 5th visit to this hotel, and sadly probally my last. The breakfast is adequate, but predictable.I have since found a better hotel nearby at a better rate. The best attraction is it's location to the skyrail and shopping.I would recommend it for a first trip, until something better is located. The hotel is generally quite at night.
Shopping Tip : Many night stalls located nearby, and department shops.good eating places in nearby soi's.

price is excellent for location, rooms are large, wonderful Spa in house
although price is low the hotel becomes cheaper and cheaper; cleaning is not the strength of the hotel - cockroaches in the bathroom were common and believe me, this I do not like!
Stayed there for several times already and always liked it - price level were great and service good. After renovation 3 years ago it even become better with yet the same price - but this is 3 years ago. Becomes cheap and dirty, roaches in the room are permanent guests and as they do not pay I do not like them. Will NOT stay there again.

Near Asok and Nana BTS (Sky Tain) stations. So it's very easy to travel around to the major parts of Bangkok.
If you wish to use internet in the hotel room, it costs 100baht for 30mins. Most hotels offer free wifi these days. So I think this is very expensive.
I have stayed at this hotel three times before but I think this will be the last time I will stay here.
Very disappointed with the staff who work in this hotel, every time I came back to my room it felt like entering a maximum security prison.
Also if you would like a friend to stay the night there is a 500baht charge. The staff must be making a fortune out of this scam.
I can find better hotels for the same price in Bangkok.
Restaurant Tip : Great restaurant on the corner of the street.
Bit old and dirty but very tasty food and excellent.
Deep fried pork is good and the shell fish so tasty.

Could be more clean. I found a small cockroach on the carpet.
From the location, this hotel is perfect. You can walk in the evening enjoying the sukhumvit area or going to the nearby coffee shop or supermarket. The BTS station is just five minutes by walking, so you can go to other places very easily. For those who wants to see the night life of bangkok, they can also walk to soi cowboy or just go to the sukhumvit main road to enjoy it. Too bad, it's quite hard to find a taxi that want to take us to the hotel because once they know that it's place in sukhumvit road soi 15, they refused us.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : By walking you can find many kind of restaurant or coffee shop in the side of the road. Once we stop on the coffee shop and just enjoyed the night life on the sukhumvit road and it was really fun.

room is spacious, clean and tidy.
Well, the location is good as it's near to BTS station and therefore easy access to other destination. Few shopping centers just around the hotel eg. Robinson, Times Square...one may also enjoy themselves walking towards the night market or unwind at nightlife spots...might recommend to friends and stay there again for future trip...
Travel tip : walk out to the main street for any taxi pick up...

bad view from window. bathroom was slightly mouldy.
Make sure you grab a taxi out off the hotel - don't get the hotel to booked it for you ( too expensive )
Mahattan this hotel is nice and simple/ more or less walking distance from the main attractions and the sky train. Hotel itself - staff was very helpfull . the only downturn was the bathroom which wasn't well cleaned.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to every thing

Must be the best value 3* hotel in the Sukhumvit area of the city.
Sometimes, at rush hour times, it is difficult to get onto Sukhimvit Road in a taxi from the hotel. (You are better off walking down to Sukhimvit Road itself before flagging one down.)
My first port of call when in Bangkok. This visit I was checking in only 60 minutes after touching down at Suvarnibhum. The staff here are exceptionally friendly but also highly efficient. The location makes most of this part of Sukhumvit completely walkable, and all the usual amenities (banks, restaurants, 7-11 etc.) are very close at hand.
Restaurant Tip : If you want to eat with the natives, the open fronted thai place on the corner of Soi 15 and Sukhumvit is godd value and good food. This place has been here for as long as I can remember.
