Location
Room, still better than many
Old hotel, old furniture, building smells old
Staff not courteous and cannot be trusted entirely for advice.
I regret making reservations at the hotel. When I checked in late at night owing to a miscommunication, I was charged extrsa. But the staff was very rude in communicating that and made me feel like a thief. Its an old building therefore everything is old from furniture to cutlery.
Location was the only good thing about the hotel.
Travel tip : BTS is 5 minutes walk away

Good location for BKK tour.
Breakfast need to be improved. The meal quality was down.
Overall this hotel was well maintained. All staffs have been trained well so I felt very comfortable on my stay in the weekend.
However, a swimming pool design and location was not so good so it was not so comfortable to relax with nice sun shine.
Nightlife Tip : Nana was not far a way from the hotel. I enjoyed to take a walk to get Nana on the street. There were many open shops on the street.

Friendly staff, clean and good room, very good location; close to BTS Asoke / Nana.
Breakfast buffet is ok but not much choise, outside the hotel there is a construction site and they worked the whole night, a little bit noisy.
For every tourist who want to stay in the lower Sukhumvit Area, Manhattan Hotel is a very good place to stay. Only 50 metre walk from hotel to the main road. Atmosphere is ok and the hotel is very clean. Staff is friendly and always ready to help the guest.Close to BTS station and also close to the night market on sukhumvit Road. The value you get for the money is very good. Next time I stay in Manhattan again.

The hotel is well located in the Sukumvit area with easy access to the sky train. The room was the usual standard room whick is a little dated but it was clean and tidy.
The entrance to the fifth floor smelled a bit mouldy .The bathroom basin in the to the room had very little room to put your toiletries .The breakfast was suitable but lacked variety.
Generally the Hotel was suitable for my needs as it was centrally located and easy to find. The staff were polite and the service was fine although the breakfast lacked variety and was very basic. The room was neat ,clean and tidy and money for value not too bad.The fifth floor smelled a bit mouldy when you came out of the lift and I don't know if they had just cleaned the carpet or not,but to their credit they had some nice smelling oils burning nearby to help kill the smell.Everything else was fine as hotels go.Just travel outside of the peak hours as this area gets very congested.
Shopping Tip : get a taxi to Chattachuck markets Friday /Saturday and Sundays.Plenty of entertainment in this area.

This hotel is good if you want a good access to sky train. Also not so far from/to Suwanaphum airport (Less than an hour). The staffs were friendly and kind. Yet, this is not the hotel to have nice vacation and relax because the rooms were very old
If you want somewhere convenient (for MRT and city centre), clean and comfortable, I can recommend the Manhattan. I have stayed there on numerous occasions and have never had cause for complaint.

Location to the sky train is very helpful.
Friendly helpful front desk staff. Clean and tidy hote
Breakfast was average. Very hard bed.
We stayed at the Manhattan as my partner had stayed here before and we wanted access to the sky train. The hotel is clean and comfortable, though the beds are very hard. It is just an average three star Bangkok hotel. The front desk staff we friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ordinary with no bacon available, and the standard cold fried eggs.

The hotel is centrally located along Sukhumvit and accessible to BTS and many night spots. Safe and convenient to go for shopping and work. The hotel room assigned to me was prepared in advance according to my requests. This is important.
The hotel needs some colors in the hall ways and make over.
The hotel is centrally located along Sukhumvit and accessible to BTS and many night spots. Safe and convenient to go for shopping and work. The hotel room assigned to me was prepared in advance according to my requests. This is important as it releases a tired traveller. In some hotels, you arrive and be met at the reception saying you have to wait for so..so..because the room is not yet ready. This is stressful because the booking was made in advance and I am not a walk in guest. I also like the hospitality extended by the housekeeping in responding to specific requests. Areas for improvement- so that Manhattan can be competitive in the hotel industry ( opposite the hotel is an upcoming 4 Points Hotel): a) the hall ways can be a bit eery because the carpets and the walls are so dull and appears dirty, b) breakfast menu does not change everyday in all aspect. It would be good to add one or two different menu within a week. The regulars can be so boring. I attempted to talk to the dining hall supervisor about my idea but he does not seem interested to consider my feedback and brushed me off. I was directed to talk to the manager when in fact he is the contact person for the hotel guests. Also, it would be good if a cook is designated somewhere so that guests would be able to order the eggs directly. Please create a more vibrant atmosphere in the restaurant... Despite, I still like to stay in Manhattan but hoping there will be improvements in the breakfast menu..
Shopping Tip : When shopping at night in the Sukhumvit street, try to check first the price and compare similar item at Robinsons Department store. It will help you in your bargaining for prices...otherwise,if you like the experience of bargaining in the night market....go for it and have fun.

Walking distance to good transportation. Friendly staff, large CLEAN room & bath. This is the second time I have stayed here & I will stay here again.
Clean room & bath. Very good comp breakfast with plenty of fruit & veggies. All you can eat & all very fresh. Very short walk to subway & skyway. Plenty of shopping one block away & entertainment is just a few blocks away.I have stayed at the Manhattan Hotel twice & I will stay here again on my next visit.
Nightlife Tip : Walk to two hot areas for nightlife & do your shopping at the same time

Proximity to sky train
Breakfast was okay
Staff friendly
Very old and tired hotel, and quite expensive for what it is. Shame as it in a great location. Swimming pool was okay but difficult to get to. Rooms large, but shabby and smelt of chemicals. Check in and out was easy and staff friendly - so good for budget traveller. Would be fabulous with a make-over.
Hotel Feature Tip : Stay on level 3 for proximity to swimming pool.

Super friendly staff - great location.
It will be good when the building work next to the hotel is completed!
I always stay at The Manhattan Hotel when I am in Bangkok. The staff go the extra mile for service and the coffee shop is a hidden gem with food of excellent quality. The location - a quick 30 second stroll down the soi to Sukhumvit Road makes it a low cost but excellent value hotel for this part of town.
Restaurant Tip : Eat in the coffee shop - you will not regret it!

Nice people, good service an helpfull.
No nice view by the windows, too much construction all around.
We stayed 3 night at the hotel. All the personnel was welcoming and helpfull. The breakfast is good with western and local food it offers a good choice. We tested as well a thai massage and the girls were very professionnal. The swimming pool that you can reach by the 2nd floor is nice but have some sun only in the morning. It is a confortable amd nice hotel to go.
Restaurant Tip : We ate only in little local rstaurant or on the pavement. It is really cheap but local food and nice people.

Reasonably priced, good breakfast included in price, good location
Very noisy due to construction site, very bad gym facilities
The hotel is well situated in the centre of Sukhumvit, near Nana BTS station and is well deesigned and the staff are nice. The breakfast buffet is also good. The problem is however the fact that the hotel is situated between two building sites and the noise starts very early in the morning and goes on all day. Big problem. Also the so called gym is nothing more that a room with afew old broken machines,

This hotel is quite old. I heard it open during Vietnam war era for US militants. The room was renovated about a year ago. The room is clean. But other facility like rift, robby and etc is still keep old. It is not so bad to maintain this condition I think. The location is perfect that 5min. walk to nearest commuter station. The breakfast menu is enough. The taste is ????.
