All in all the Manhattan Hotel is in a great location 2mins walk to Sukhumvit Road and 5 min walk to bts and mrt. 5 min walk to Soi Cowboy and 10min walk to Nana plaza. A good hotel over all just getting a tired now in the rooms. Good size room in deluxe and plenty of hot water all day.

Hotel is close to BTS and main nite life on Sukhumvik Road. Staff always have a warm welcome and easy to talk to in English and willing to help.

Rooms are old and need refurb. No movie channel in english and none of the normal cable channels eg. HBO Cinemax etc. Same breakfast every day and finish early.

  • Restaurant Tip : Restaurant at Sukhumvit junction is over priced for the food you get and have no prices in menu

It is a great hotel,f or the price it is worth it, I had a great experience. I loved the food, especially breakfast was the best. The swimming pool was great, the staff was just the best, always there for you. I very much enjoyed Manhattan Hotel and I would suggest it to everyone.

I liked everything about the hotel, all the areas and the staff were correct and very polite.

I would suggest more computers in the internet area, or wireless internet in the rooms, that would be great, but still it was good.

  • Shopping Tip : Close to Robinson shopping center, which I loved very much, and McDonalds.

Having not stayed in Bangkok before I was pleasantly surprised at the hospitality location and overall presentation of the hotel, yes there are many more luxurious hotels in the area but with prices to match so this to me was very good value in a small well positioned friendly hotel which made the stay a memorable experience, which I would do again!

Ideal location for shopping and touring. Quiet location, Very polite and helpful staff. The restaurant is well priced and good value. The pool is well secluded and clean.

The hotel is a bit in need of a revamp but this seemed to be in hand in September 2008. No other negatives to note.

  • Shopping Tip : Try the Siam Centre a great days shopping!

I stayed 7 days in Manhattan. I found the hotel to be cozy and good. The rooms are really spacious. The location is good to access major city points and night life. A number of good restaurants are close by. The breakfast at the hotel has a good spread. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but there is a language barrier. The foot massage at the hotel is worth trying. Overall a great experience. I will try this hotel again.

Spacious rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast.

Bugs in room and language problem of staff.

  • Nightlife Tip : Nana is walking distance and some good Indian restaurants too.

Proximity of the hotel to the air port, shopping area and nightlife locations is very attractive. The room was very spacious and was worth the money we paid. Service was excellent and prompt. Food although a bit expencive was very good. Very helpful staff but need to know a bit more english. the ambience was very good overall

loction excellent, clean big rooms, prompt service

staff shud know english a bit more

  • Shopping Tip : there is an excellent mall called raddison very close to the hotel along with a Macdonalds outlet and many indian hotels too

The hotel is strategically located. I stayed for 3 nights with my family from 13~16 Sept 08. It is near Asoke/Nana BTS, taxi readily available outside the hotel and shopping complexes like Times Square and Robinson are within walking distance. Services for half/full day tour in Thailand are available at the hotel lobby.

During the three nights stay, every morning the same type of breakfast are served. Suggest the hotel to change the breakfast menu at least twice in three days. I suggest the hotel to allow kettle in the room for the guest to boil water. As we are travelling with children, we need hot water for milk preparation most of the time.

I enjoyed my stay at the manhattan. I had an executive suite which gave me plenty of space to work and relax. The room layout was good, and the room was very quiet. The position is excellent, just off Sukumvit. The hotel is soon to be renovated, but the cockroaches in the room suggest that cleaning has been suboptimal for some time. Also the bathroom supplies are miserable. The wireless internet works well, but is expensive. Overall the hotel is OK, but could be much better.

Good position - close to Sukumvit and above-ground railway. Pleasant staff. Nice Korean restaurant.

Too many cockroaches in room. Internet expensive. Poor bathroom amenities. Breakfast just fair.

  • Shopping Tip : Time Square nearby is an excellent up-market shopping place. The charming optometrist there will arrange new glasses for a fraction of the UK price.

I have been a regular guest at the hotel over many years. I have always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Although not the newest place around, the hotel has had some refurbishment recently and the rooms are very comfortable with a/c working very effectively. Breakfast is always a feature and sets guests up for a busy day. The travel desk (inside the hotel in the foyer) continues to be helpful with day activities.

Friendly house and reception staff Position, position, position

The room price continues to creep up (a little) but still represents good value. Range of cable TV programs gets smaller Quote of 800 baht for airport taxi (from the concierge desk at the front door) when the real meter price is closer to 200 - continuation of this rip off apprach will not win many friends

  • Hotel Feature Tip : Don't book a taxi through the Concierge

If you want low cost and nit fussed Manhatten is ok. Staff are very friendly and will help you. Rooms are not great - bathrooms need to be upgraded.

Location right in the middle of Sukhumvit area

Old, poor deco. Rooms need updating new furnishings and fixures.

  • Shopping Tip : Go to Emporium great shopping mall has all the big name brands.
