Excellent hotel

Service was excellent. Friendly staff. Hotel is situated in sukumvit which is the happening place all the time. Clean room and spacious. Swimming pool was nice relief from the heat. Many tour companies around the hotel for tours to the city, floating markets and other places. Right next to hotel is terminal 21 shopping mall which is very good to spend a whole day.
Nightlife Tip:
On Soi 13 and 11 which is the the 2nd or 3rd side street from the hotel street is the area for night clubs. Literally 5 minute walking distance from hotel. The night life here is excellent with a variety of bars and clubs and restaurants.

I had a wonderful stay at Manhattan.. We arrived late and were upgraded to a better room. loved it.The staff spoke a good English and were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and big. I enjoyed all of the delicious breakfast choices. Rooms also had reliable wifi in rooms.
The location is great,close to the subway and many stores. Price is good for what you get.
Shopping Tip:
lots of stores and places to shop. close to the bts subway which can take you to the large mbk mall.

Good value, great location
We enjoyed our stay. It is comfortable and clean and has a good buffet breakfast.. It is convenient to the skytrain and the highway, and the location offers a variety of eating places.

The fact that they sell ivory souvenirs in the gift shop put us off, not only because it means slaughter of elephants, but also it is illegal. Although we were bothered by this, we noticed as we were leaving, so we did not ask for their rationale, but will say something to the manager when we return there in a couple of weeks. Otherwise, it was a place we would recommend.

Hotel with poor facilities

Hotel is good value with excellent location close to BTS. however the facilities are very poor and the breakfast was dreadful. Rooms are dated and very little parking space. Very disappointed they lost the sauna and fitness centre which was a major attraction of the Manhattan Hotel 10 years ago. General atmosphere in the hotel was low as iff it was in desperate need of a revamp.

Friendly and efficient staff made the stay enjoyable. The welcome drink would have had more charm if the choice was not just limited to Fanta Red, Coke and Sprite...perhaps a fruit juice? The room the three of us were staying in was a good comfortable size with three single beds and lots of space to move around with ease. The furniture and carpet looked a bit tired but were otherwise clean. The bathroom was rather small and spartan but adequate. The Manhattan's location is only about 50m to the Asok BTS...very handy. For those who not keen to venture further, there are many stalls and shops around the area.
