Good budget hotel for short term stays. Hotel is clean and comfortable, and staff is friendly.
Big downside was the hotel restaurant. Couple of times they didn't have the food I ordered, though it was on the menu. Service was too many times sluggish and very slow. No safety boxes in the rooms.
Good budget hotel reasonably close to the airport. Staff was friendly, though sometimes I noticed some lack of English language skills. Recommended for few day visits in BKK. Lot to improve in the restaurant services. Two times they didn't have the food I ordered, and the second time it took them 30 mins to come back and tell me. Service was slow and sluggish. Otherwise a fairly good experience.

Not downtown, but in a nice neighborhood and close to one of the better malls in Bangkok. Mall within walking distance along the canal. New, clean hotel with very friendly staff. Good parking. Spacious and clean rooms. Wireless internet in each room. Nice views from balconies. Offer nice deals.
Don't sell wine by the glass.
I have stayed in this hotel 3 times and find it very good with great room rates. Spacious, clean rooms with all the necessary facilities including mini fridge and snacks. Room service good and staff is very courteous and helpful. The restaurant is very good with nice selection of international foods. I love the location on a relatively quiet street with a suburban atmosphere.
Shopping Tip : Take a nice walk to the Mall along the canal. Mall has everything including a nice grocery and wine shop.

Spacious rooms, great service
I would stay here again, however I think it is not for most tourists. It is a very new hotel. In fact it feels unfinished. No pictures in the rooms, very austere. The staff speaks good english and is very helpful. There is a canal taxi service that is very easy to access, about a 35 minute ride to Pratunam for 16 Thai baht. I chose this location because it is close to the area that I had classes to attend. We live in Thailand, speak Thai, and are not interested in most tourist attractions. If you are looking for nightlife and shopping this hotel is not for you. I think tourists that want to get the feel for a real Thai neighborhood, this hotel is good. In terms of proximity to the airport, there are hotels for the same price that are much closer.
