Amazingly Great

Metropolitan rooms is huge but not empty. The room are equipped with all ameneties and it feels more like a studio apartment than only a room.
The bathroom are huge too with seperate showers & bath tub.
The Como Fitness Centre are equally great with Jacuzzi & Steam room and a well equipped gym. The only setback will be the swimming pool that get only 4 hours of sunlight in the morning (8a.m. - noon) due to the high rise building surrounding the hotel.

the first thing that strike me was the friendliness of the staff of the hotel. as soon as i step into the hotel, i was pleasantly greeted by not one but a few staff. and they were very efficient in checking us in, and took us to the room. the general theme of this hotel is simple - and we like that. the decorations are simple but nice. the gym and pool is nice.
whilst the room is quite nice, the tv provided is quite old, crt type. but they also provide you with a nice bose system for your listening pleasure.
however, the location is rather far from the bts/train but taxi is easy to find, and cheap.
overall, i'm very happy with my stay at metropolitan hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a really nice and cozy Italian Restaurant across the road called Bravio. Food there is excellent!

elegant design hotel in sathorn area

overall nice experience. the hotel location is not ideal for tourist who wish to wlak around. a 15mn walk and corssing a 8-lane avenue is required to reach Silom road, on which nearest skytrain station Sala Daeng is located. The pool has sun only between 11.30 and 13.00 due to high building surrounding the hotel. The restaurant and spa are of very standard and quality.

rooms are comfortable, service is excellent, and shambala products awesome. however, the place is looking a little tired, especially around the pool area. breakfast at glow is great and wholesome, although a little cramped in. shambala spa setting was comfortable, but massage was mediocre. the met bar, which used to have a buzz, did not seem to attract a crowd while i was there.

Sleek lobby, wonderful staff
The rooms are satisfactory. The staff was great with my three year old daughter. The pool is difficult to get to from the rooms -- quite a long walk.

I would stay at the Metropolitan, again. We found it's location difficult but we enjoyed our stay there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Checkout the roof top bar at the Banyan Tree next door -- incredible view.
