4 stars hotel with 5 stars service

A four star hotel with five stars service.
Five stars because of the awesome staff service and hotel facilities. All emails are answered promptly and clearly before i even arrive. Check in and check out was very smooth. Staff are always friendly and helpful and most importantly always discreet and that's something that not every hotel can master even if they may have gold taps and the red carpets rolled out for you. You can tell they've undergone professional training.
When mistakes were made, it was corrected promptly and professionally. Staff service were always professional and discreet with a touch of class !
Internet speed was very fast and this is so important in days like these especially when you require them for work !! In fact, 6 stars for the internet speed !
They have long lap pools, wellness studio that conducts lessons such as yoga and pilates 3 times a day ! The spa area consist of a steam room and jacuzzi which were awesome after a long tiring day and operates until 10pm daily ! The changing rooms are spacious and comes equipped with all the amenities you could ask for from body lotion to hair dryer. Towels and bottled water are everywhere which makes enjoying the facilities very convenient.
Four stars because the property of the hotel is starting to wear out due to age but the awesome staff, wellness facilities and internet speed more than make up for it ! The only downside is that it is quite a walk away from the nearest BTS station (Sala Daeng) 15-20 mins. The hotel operates an hourly shuttle for guests on request to the nearest BTS station but you will have to sort out your own return journey.
If you are looking for discretion and elegant staff services with a touch of wellness this is the perfect hotel. But if you are looking for bling bling gold taps, marbled floors or staff who worships you at your feet - then it's probably not for you. :)
Hotels of such pedigree are hard to come by ! I highly recommend it !

This is my third time staying at the metropolitan and is one of my favorite hotels in Bangkok. Located in a less congested street but still accessible to Silom nightlife and shopping. Great organic restaurant, excellent spa and modern chic rooms.
