I was not happy about the food. the breakfast was poor and the room service is not cheap, but the food was taste horrible.
I had the good time staying in Metropolitan bkk hotel. The service was really good. The reception was very friendly and helpful. They would help you all the need and give you the right direction. But i was very disappointed about the food in the hotel. I was not happy about the food price and taste. I rather go out for meal instead of ordering room service.
The hotel was in the really good standard, and i would like to go back there again, but not definitely.

The Metropolitan Bangkok is just the coolest hotel in Bangkok and quite possible the world... I know it's a huge statement but the vibe is just so right. The staff are helpful and attentive without being overtly so. The restaurants are just right, Como Shambhala spa is exquisite, Met Bar is very cool and exclusive and the public spaces and pool area are divine, oh, and Mariah and Kylie have both stayed there...lol
Nightlife Tip : Located in a great part of town near the embassy's on Sathorn Road and close enough to walk to the night markets and bars/clubs.

Clean room with comfy bed. great house keeping service. nice gym, sauna and big pool.
loved every thing they offered. It'd be good for relaxation and vacation.
pricy Spa. Payable internet access, but free at the lobby area. TV looked old, but didn't really mattered.
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel and I even wrote a thank note when I checked out.
Loved every moment and Love to go back there if I get the same deal as this time.
Hotel Feature Tip : Massage at Health Land near the hotel was great.
and free martini or wine with meal in the restraunt was nice. and they allowed me to use the gym and spa after check out.

Centrally located, modern, clean
Nice hotel in good location. Friendly staff. Pool is refreshing and breakfast is good. Modern room and very clean. Great launching place for Bangkok exploration.
Nightlife Tip : Right next door is the Banyon tree where you can have drinks/dine on the roof at the 61st floor. Awesome!

On arrival given free vouchers for guest cocktail (alcoholic), free glass of wine and restaurant discount. The whole experience, especially the free spa and gym.
erm, struggling to think- perhaps that the breakfast was not include in the price?
Modern, chic, clean, sophisticated hotel. The room we had was huge (Metropolitan room)and modern with great toiletries. Free use of the spa, jacuzzi and pool- you would not guess this paradise was in the middle of the city. Staff professional and all addressed you by name! Effortless check in and out- everything was prepared in anticipation for your arrival. Did not eat here so cannot comment
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : On Sathorn, turn right for Suan Lum night bazar (10 min walk). Cross Sathorn to the left and walk up Thanon Sala Daeng which takes you right onto the lively Silom Road for everything you need including BTS. Lumpini park is 10 minutes walk. Next door is the Banyan Tree- enjoy waromantic cocktail at the Moon bar on the roof (62nd floor) for an unrivalled view of the city (dress code applies).

Staff, comfort, design, pool/spa.
Building looks unassuming.
After being recommended to stay at the Metropolitan, I thought I'd give it a try. Can be hard to find if taxi driver isn't well versed with the area and building is unassuming. However, interior decor is nice and room is comfortable. Service is top notch.

- large rooms
- luxury feeling in the room
- good quality of furniture
- booked with Agoda, got good value for the money, low season so half rate
- internet not included in room rate and it was also very expensive to purchase internet access
- not so well trained staff. in this kind of hotel the staff shall make you feel genuinely welcome. did not get that feeling.
- hotel is quite far away (10-15) min walk from BTS
The Met was a nice experience but Im not sure if we will stay there the next time we visit Bangkok. If we get same low rate I think we would consider it but I would never pay full rate for this hotel. The hotel is in a location quite far away from most things. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the BTS. When going back to the hotel the taxi drivers could never find it,
The staff was most of the time ok but their service was sometimes not genuine. I expect that from this kind of hotel.
Internet was not included in room rate, not even if you pay the full rate it is included. I think that is greedy. Most hotels now includes internet in room rate. Also they tried to charge too much money for 1 day access. Can remember exactly how much it was but I think it was close to what I pay for internet access for full month in my home.
Restaurant Tip : If you like to eat european breakfast. Then visit Bei Otto.

Beautiful designed.
Big rooms.
Friendly staff.
Decent pricing.
A lot of good additional service features.
Location. It's located in CBD and quite far from all shopping and sightseeings. Good for nightlife though. Also, with a little strange entrance from the street, few taxi-drivers found their way without help.
Beautiful designed hotel with well thought-trough structure. The room we had (a Metropolitan) was spacious and light. My wife loved the big bathroom!
Great lunch at Glow (organic) but we never tried the other restaurant Cyan or the bar Met.
But the best part of this hotel is the staff. Ever so friendly and very thoughful. We really felt like home.
Restaurant Tip : Rooftop restaurant Red Sky at GrandCentral is a must go. If only for one of their great Martinis. But the view!

Excellent decoration, excellent service and great facilities.
Excellent choice for all sorts of travelers. Its minimalist decoration suits couples and design oriented travelers. Great facilities for all types of travelers (gym, swimming pool, etc.). And a nice restaurant too. The service and customer service is great too. I don´t feel there are great areas for improvement. The only thing I don´t like is having a restaurant by the pool. It´s not nice to have people looking at you while you swim or get in / out of the pool. A great choice, for sure.

Nice rooms, luxury toiletries, wonderful pool and gym, very friendly and fun staff, nice location next to Banyan Tree with its superb restaurants, beautiful interior decoration and attention to detail...
Stayed here for two relaxing nights, great room, comfortable bed, nice friendly fun staff, excellent hotel facilities and beautiful interior design. I've stayed in most of the 5 star hotels in bangkok and this is a really nice example and very good value... I'd love to stay here again and again.
Restaurant Tip : Banyan Tree next door has a majestic rooftop restaurant - not to be missed.... very romantic...

great service, fantastic food
$25 for breakfast, slightly outdated, want to charge $21 a day for internet in room
The hotel is nice, but slightly outdated, from an incorrectly set radio alarm clock, to an elevator that doesn't open immediately when it closes on your hand.
The best thing about staying here is the food. It is scrumptious, wonderfully presented and fantastic. The breakfast is nice (but VERY pricey at $24) and definitely go to Glowm, their health food place.
$21 a day for internet in room is a minus, as is the location for the nin businessman. Service however is very good.
Travel tip : go to Glow Restaraunt even if you don;t stay there.

The minamilist charm of this hotel begins as you enter the modernist lobby and superb flower arrangements. But there is nothing minimalist in the abundance of efficiency and hospitality of the staff - from the thoughtfulness of the reception staff, to the concierge arranging the shuttle, to the young man who calls you by your name when he turns down your bed in the evening.
I would like to see the cocktail bar, with its superb staff and decor, with more people in it, and open on a sunday! Also nice to have free internet in the business centre and not just the current complimentary 15 minutes. The breakfast are great - if you can afford it - and a beer from the minibar cots almost 500 baht!
The Metropolitan is very well placed without being bothered by the thrust and bustle around it. Its Zen charm is irresistible. The downside is that no taxi-driver knows where it is! There is an excellent Thai restaurant within walking distance. I ate dinner there every night. The rooms are very comfortable, even while maintaining the minimalist ambiance. The bathrooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained. I appreciated the fresh fruit in my room every night. But the real magnet that takes me back every time is the staff who in an inimicable Thai way make the Sawadi greeting genuine and reassuring. There seems to be little turnover in staff, which means the hotel treats its employees with the same care as it does its guests.
Shopping Tip : The main Jim Thomson shop is 15 minutes away by taxi, and the Paragon Complex two stops away on the Skytrain

The staffs are very friendly. I have tried both Glow and C'yan and both were very good.
Went to use the steam room at 8ish at night and it wasn't on. So I tried to ask for help and couldn't find any staffs in the area. But the outdoor pool was nice. Everything else is good.
