Convenient and Clean Hotel in very central area

montien may be an old hotel, but it did not disappoint. the rooms are big and clean. the location is excellent with close access to mrt and bts. close to many massage parlors and night life and silom night market. the only negative is there is no free wi-fi at the hotel.

The hotel location is in front of patphong nite market and very near with Silom area, the central of nitelife in Bangkok

Cons:
The lift is out of service most of the time due to quality.
The hotel carpet and the wooden decorative items smells due to aged long
The Bellboy does not greet people with salutation as in "Mr" or "Ms" or "Sir"
The gym totally aged and limited space to workout
The carpet are not that hygiene due to rashes i get on my back
Pros:
The strategic location which is a stone throw away from the happening places of Patpong
Walking distance of variety of hawker stalls
Public transport such as "Tuk Tuk car" and "taxi" can get easily with a whistle blow
Nice lounge area
Nightlife Tip:
Nearest to Patpong happening places like pub and clubs

Great Location but Tired Hotel

this hotel is great for its location: very near the bts station and the connection to the sky train, the train to the airport.
the area is very happening during songkran festival.
this hotel is very easy to find even when walking there.
when it comes to the room, the first impression would be olfactive as even in the corridor, you have that old tabacco and dusty carpet smell wich continues well into the room.
what would be appreciated in the room would be a hair dryer and a kettle.
front office was a bit messy on the last day of the stay, with a key missing then reappearin by magic, with no expalantion whatsoever.
Shopping Tip:
Chattuchak week end market and many shopping malls a few BTS stations away.

good location. however, the hotel is old and needs to be renovated. the room was huge! the bathroom was ok, but just like all the rest of the hotel, needs to be renovated.
small tv in the room. you can buy movies on demand for 535 bht but what's the point? the tv is way too small!
no wi-fi! there are hotspots (like true) in the lobby but i could not get anything in my room.
a bit disappointed, things such as a flat tv and the internet in rooms are a must these days.
receptionists could be more polite and they should speak better english but maybe i was just unlucky.

I like the hotel very much. It has a large room, clean, efficient check in and out, friendly staff and most importantly is this hotel is near to the popular Patpong night market. It takes less than a minutes to the market.

why must pay when i bring my guest or visitor to my hotel after 12 mid night , i,m stay alone that i already pay the hotel, pls let know me know before i book the hotel , i would not book this hotel again and what the rule on hotrel after 12 am must change for 1 my guest

The hotel is old and not terribly well maintained. The room door was like paper and lots of hallway noise. There is no free wifi or even internet in the room. Charging extra for True wifi is insulting. The Whole hotel smells musty and moldy. We checked out after one night, sacrificing our payment to go to another hotel.
