Exceptional good value at the Montien. We prefered it to 5 star Sofitel Silom where we stayed at the end of our holiday.We enjoyed Patpong night market just a short walk from the hotel and the skytrain was only a short distance away. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Restaurant Tip : Restaurants are expensive in the area. Need to walk a few streets to find good restaurants and good prices.

Hotel facility is quite old and cleanliness rate is so so.
Because of late check-in and early check-out, we don't know the food quality.
Nightlife Tip : It is in front of Patpong night market and quite conveninent for nightlife.

When booking assume nothing, ask for a non smoking room and ask for queen bed etc, we were constantly checking everything, but thats Bangkok, you even bargain for your taxi
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Beware of friendlies who ask where you came from and how long are you staying for etc
Taxi drivers quote one price and tell you another once your in the taxi, to add tolls etc

Location to night market, night life, etc is all outside the front door. When you check out the porter will get meter taxi to airport and you are guaranteed a cheaper price. Breakfast is one of the best in all the hotels I have stayed in BKK

You are literally in the heart of it all. Patpong Markets right outside the door if that is what you want. We did not use any hotel facilities so I can not make an honest comment regarding any cons. The breakfast in this hotel was fantastic. We have not come across a breakfast like this for a very long time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Patpong markets are literally outside the main door. You also have some great restaurants nearby and a very popular coffee shop out the front on the street. We arrived at the hotel late at night and check in was done very quickly. If you are looking for a hotel within the Patpong area I would most certainly recommend this hotel.

price is a bit high as compared with the neighboring hotels We went there when the hotel was under some construction, so there was noise during the day time. The hotel is a bit old and breakfast is just above average. Location is perfect and the patpong nite market is just one min walk away.
