This hotel was not new but room was very clean and tidy. The restaurant selections were very good especially chinese restaurant was very nice and bfreakfast buffet was very nice too. I'm veryvery highly evaluating this hotel.

Very nice breakfast buffet, good restaurant selections inside a hotel like local food and chinese food. Chinese restaurant was very nice but little bit expensive.

I have stayed here my last four visits to Bangkok. I find the hotel very comfortable with excellent staff. Good security on the floors.

Great location with easy walking to restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

Gym equipment could use some updating.

The Montien is a favoured hotel of mine, i always feel welcome there and basically would not stay anywhere else when in Bangkok.

Awesome spot, great staff, great breakfast, well priced.

Does need some decoration and a face lift in some rooms.

We were promised a free dinner to compensate for not having a room, but were disappointed to receive only a set menu in the coffe shop. The Manager seemed to promise a lot but was not there when we got back for the second night and didn't seem to leave instructions. We were very embarrassed when we had to ask for our dinner and no-one knew what it was about.

• Shopping Tip : Patpong markets are across the road from the hotel. All the usual items. Hotel is close to the subway and the skytrain so a trip to the weekend markets by subway is worthwhile. These markets are much better quality.

I was given a high room (16th floor) but they were doing some renovation on the 15th floor (I was not informed). I wanted to take a nap but it was just not possible. I inquired about wi-fi and I could not really understand what the staff was saying. Checking the meaning of what he said, he sounded quite annoyed (was not friendly tone).

I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends. My son is in a wheelchair and we keep coming back to this hotel as they can't do enough for him and make life as easy as possible for him.
