Dirty & Haunted
Dirty, Haunted, bad service
2
BAD. Please don't come to this hotel. It was the worse hotel and irresponsible hotel that I've ever been to. This hotel was actually an old apartment that has been re-painted and decorated. They didn't even renovate the place! There are leftover staircase in the rooms that supposingly leads to 2nd floor. However, they blocked it with wood planks/ceiling. The reasons of why the hotel is good for rest of the tourist is because of the special decorations with tables, toys, statues, wall decoration, swing and so on. Let me tell you the reason behind these decorations. Its meant for 'other people' living inside ever since before the hotel was operated Starting fromwhere i've been inside for less than a day, I've gone for the toilet bowl that is on the staircase and there's this black figure standing in front of me, staring. Then went to the shower room (seperated) and wash my face. Here I saw a doll-girl with big eyes staring at me. I was so freaked out that I carried my bag and went out of the room.

Air conditioner is not good and not too clean
You can go to nightlife by taxi, It's not too far. You can go to Crystal design park for hangout.
The good things, It's near Chatuchak market & the hotel has a Tuk Tuk service is great to have with drap off at here.

Hotel with great service
Great service, well furnished, super huge room
9.3
I stayed in 2 hotels this time in Bangkok. And Mystic Place is definitely the better one. Its easy to find, just by the road side, so we dun have to scratch our heads with those taxi drivers in Bangkok who totally cant speak English.
They have free coach to Chatuchak Market every half and hour from 9am-5:30pm, and you dont worry that you'll miss it as the receptionist will help you to call a taxi and the hotel will pay for the fare.
The room is so huge that it will be enough for parents with 2 kids. Approximately 600sqft. Themed. It's really cool.
The breakfast served are just like any other hotels, above average amongst the budget hotel.
Highly recommend it to everyone.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
When you are in Bangkok, massage/spa salon is everywhere, but there is only a few good ones. The best massage ( best = good + cheap), that me and my friends ( 4 of us ), ever experienced is in Amor Spa, just right opposite Big C Shopping Mall in Chatuchak ( below the BTS Skyline). Its owned by a Taiwanese guy, so dont have to worry about language barrier. And the price is just 150baht for that or leg massage for 1 hour (normal rate in Bangkok is 250baht/hour) and there was a promo juat 250baht for thai and leg massage for 2 hours. The masseuses are really amazing. It will be my must stop for the next trip to Bangkok. Everything in Chatuchak seems cheaper and nicer compared to Ratchapaprop ( where all the giant shopping malls located). Enjoy your trip!

Thumbs up*
Very unique designs with different themes and feels home!
8.3
Is a very good place to stay in for couples, friends or even family. The designs are very special, service crew are friendly and nice, breakfast variety is not a lot but is nice though. The only bad thing is they don't have a lift in the hotel. Have got a hard time bringing my luggage out. " But next to the hotel the's Thai massage, very convenient too.
Shopping Tip:
jj market is a must go place! bring along a fan and water, wear something cooling and comfortable to shop there. it will be damn hot in the day. the things there are very cheap and reasonable! must go!

Great service
Special and beautiful rooms, very good service. Staff are especially friendly and considerate. I'm sure I'll stay there next time if I go Bangkok next time.
9.3
Enjoy the day I stayed there. Their staff provided a lot of useful traveling info for us, and helped us plan the route and provide good service as well. Love the room decorate. Guests are able to choose different room design when checkin. They provide shuttle bus to chatuchak as well. Good location.

Great rooms with great service
Service is great! Rooms are very clean and creatively decorated.
8.3
every room is differentiated. housekeeping is done everyday and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. service is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
only con is that the hotel is situated far off the central area. however, taxis are cheap and it cost about 80baht to get to the central area.
it takes approximately 15 mins to walk to the nearest train station. however, i would recommend you to take the taxi as it is cheaper if you have 3-4 people in your group. the hotel provides tuk tuk service to the bts as well as chatuchak market.
Travel tip:
RCA is the recommended place for "healthy" clubs. Clubs are huge with both house and rnb music. Alcohol is definitely cheap!
If you are looking at Thai girl shows/ping pong shows, please do really be careful as you may be surprised by the amount charged which wasn't told to you when you are being brought into the club. I was told that it's 100baht per person which includes 1 drink each. I thought it was a good deal and went in since I haven't seen these shows before. However, when it comes to settling the bill, i was charged at 1,100 baht per person! They will then show you the list which includes cover charge and 'watch show' charge. The ladies will force you to tip them and if you do not, they will start cursing in Thai.

Quirky rooms and great hotel staff
Staff were very friendly and hotel was near Chatuchak market
7.3
Staying in Mystic Place is like staying in an artist place. Their theme rooms are very quirky and full of character. You will never tire of looking at the nice artworks around the place. Even their breakfast area has a lot of personality. If you are used to staying in a spartan hotel room then this is not the place for you. They don't have elevators or any of those fancy hotel stuff but they make up to it by the service of their staff.
Please make sure that you get the directions on how to go to the hotel since it is quite hard to locate. It is a long walk from the skytrain and locals have a hard time directing you to the place. Best if you call the hotel and ask them to talk to your taxi or tuk2x driver to give directions to the hotel.
Not a lot of places to go to around the area aside from Chatuchak market so if you want a lively nightlife, it would be better to select a hotel near the city center.
They had a weighing scale that they gladly brought up to our room which was a big help in checking if we already over shopped and gone over our allocated kilos for the airline.
Breakfast spread was great, they served fresh fruits, cereals and the usual ham, sausages, eggs and bacon. There was also a lovely spa inside the hotel compound where you can get cheap foot massage after a long day of shopping.
Shopping Tip:
Chatuchak market is huge so you really need to allocate 2 days to go around the place. I don't even think 2 days is enough. Haggle, haggle, haggle even with Tuk2x drivers. Also always ask for your taxi driver to turn the meter on.
