Older style CBD location
Worth the money for its location

Not a hotel to enjoy fine dining or cosy atmosphere, but for the price, you wont find a cheaper one in this location. Older style renovated hotel, walking distance to BTS (not close), close to most offices in CBD. THe best part about this hotel is the restaurant (Narai) just in front of the hotel. They serve delicious pizza and several Thai dishes.

Quite basic Central location

Mass produced food in restaurant. Had roast Lamb, meat was raw and could not cut it. Returned the food and tried again-same result. Complained but no-one cared- impersonnal service. Could not eat my food but was still charged for it. Complained to duty manager- no satisfaction. Went out and bought a McDonalds!
Housekeeping staff very pleasant, room clean.
Appears that hotel caters for mass coach tourist who stay for one night.
I would not use this hotel again, or recommend it to others!
Restaurant Tip:
For dinner-leave hotel & turn right. Walk aboit 500m and on your right will be Silom Trade Village. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.

an old hotel but well-maintained, rooms are very reasonably sized. don't expect the latest flat screen tv in your room or luxury bathroom toiletries but rooms are clean and well-kept. restaurant, bar, and other facilities are ok but tend to be busy when the hotel is full. overall verdict: very good location and excellent value for money.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't take the taxis waiting outside the hotel. They often don't want to use meters.

We stayed 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed this hotels and it's amenities. Lots of eating places and shops around. Sky train about 10 mins walk.Riverboats about 20mins walk.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Use river boats for transport to lots of attractions Very cheap also avoids the heavy congestion on roads.

narai is a well known highly satisfactory hotel. the sevice is excellent . i always stay there when i am in bkk, so people take good care of me . food is high quality and services supurb.
Shopping Tip:
great bargins up and down Silom road. Learn a few thai phrases like , too expensive and what is lowest price and you can save a few dollars
