Good 4 star hotel with good service
East to find, good breakfast buffet
8.7
Narai Hotel on Silom has always beena good choice in the Silom Rd area. taxi drivers can all find it, and it is a decent walking area. 10min walk to BTS, 15min to Patpong area.
Narai staff are very good, and they really take care of guests' belongings. i left a pillow there, and tehy bagged it, labelled it with my name, and I picked it up on my next trip to BKK. Very good!

nice enough but buffet breakfaststone cold
6.7
The hotel was recommended to me by a friend so I was looking forward to a pleasant stay. Reception on arrival was courteous and efficient and the room was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed not to find any literature in the room, either about the hotel and what it has to offer, or any local highlights. In the morning I went downstairs where I had passed a restaurant on the way in for breakfast and after finding it empty had to be re-directed to the 1st floor. The restaurant was spacious and charming and the variety of food on offer extensive. However after helping myself to the hot foods on offer in the bay maries I sat down to enjoy a hearty breakfast. I was sadly disappointed. Everything was stone cold. If you cant do it right don't do it. Spoilt what should have been a pleasant stay.
Travel tip:
I wont stay there again

narai hotel is a nice standard hotel with nice breakfast and free internet. good location which enables access to bk either by walking or taxi or tuktuk. the staff is friendly. i think the narai had its hay days a few years ago, but it's clean and comfortable.

i have been visiting the naraai hotel now for almost 40 years and, having stated in many of the five star hotels as well, find it to be the best value for money in bangkok.
situated in silom road,it is within easy reach of the river attractions, street shopping and the night life of pat pong along with pub meals and the ubiquitous mcdonalds and kentucky fried chicken
Shopping Tip:
Never offer more than the asking price of street traders. if no acceptance, walk away! often ,but not always, one will be called back to clinch the dealat the offered price

Value for money hotel along Silom Road
Location, price and convenience
6.7
Reasonably priced hotel which is very convenient to shopping, night life and public transport.
The hotel provides a very good breakfast, nice gym and swimming pool, and free wi fi. It used to be a very fashionable hotel in Silom area but but feels a bit run down which is its only drawback. But for the price, it is wonderful. It is also within walking distance to BTS station and hence easily accessible to most tourist sights.

excellent location, old hotel with high standard
best location, great room size and buffet
9.3
we stayed at narai a few times now. this trip was again satisfying.
we always loved the buffets, which both of us agreed one of the best in bangkok. the coffee is almost illy-standard. we always seat by the lovely large windows overlooking the morning traffics.
the rooms are decent size, comparing to many of the other 'newer' hotels. though some rooms are larger than the others. travelers should speak to the reception slecting a newer room.
staffs here did not carry a smiley face, their services are above standard at all times.
we will definetly come back.
