The hotel is good in terms of value for money and for the rate I got I couldn't ask for me. But, the hotel room given to me was old and needs refurbishing. It was near train station which was a plus points but there is a portion from the station going back to the hotel where the street is not lighted and was uncomfortable to walk especially if your alone.
Its inexpensive and near train stop
The hotel room needs to be refurbished.
OK for a short stay

Stayed here for three nights in October. Went for a Standard Room which was very basic. Mine was damp (1023) but was moved on request. Hotel is fairly close to Sala Daeng BTS and Patpong/Convent Road but the walk there involves constantly rebuffing taxi and Tuk Tuk drivers who wait all day for the uninitiated tourist who will pay a day's wage for a single journey - would advise walking along Surawong Rd to avoid this (it has far more character too). The hotel was always busy with tour groups, conferences etc which gave it the feel of a bus terminal. In all if you can get a very good rate then it should suffice however the price they were asking for a Standard Room during my stay was over the odds.
Fairly well located
Taxi touts. Lobby like a bus terminal. Standard rooms very basic. Poor value for money.
- Nightlife Tip : Head next door to V9 bar at the Sofitel for some of the best value wines in town (as supplied by resident wholesaler Wine Connection). Great views over town and an interesting food menu to add.

the lobby is fine but when you get into the room, furnitures are really old and carpet stinks. Breakfast, I agree was fine for all nationalities.
Receptionist should improve more customer relation skills. They weren't accommodating. The bellboy was efficient enough and friendly.
The best with this hotel is accessibility to night market, train station, restaurants, and nightlife. Narai needs renovation for better quality.
quick access to the downtown.
low class room furnitures
Good value for the money

The Narai has a very good location. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast buffet was much better than I expected. We had an early flight, and the buffet was open at 5:00 am. The Narai was an excellent value for the money. The rooms are a bit dated, but are clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
Good location, very good breakfast buffet, good value for the money.
Our room was a bit dated and tired.

I used to go to Bangkok quite often and most time I choose this hotel; along the years it has had ups and downs. actually I think that the rooms are better with new carpets and new bathroom decoration. the hotel service is good at the reception and at the restaurant as well; breakfast is good; I recommend Narai hotel.

Even though it is a very old hotel in Bangkok, it has been renewed for a few times. My room was on the 4th floor which the hotel claim that it has been renewed for only 6 months. But the room is still very old and full of dust, but fine for business. The location is fantastic. But there were also other hotels nearby.
Location is the best. It is right on the Silom road
Bad room.

I have now stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions and have no need to seek another option. From the welcome by the door attendant (who even took my few parcels of shopping up to the room for me on one occasion) to the prompt attention to changing the battery in the remote control, I felt welcome and comfortable in the surroundings. While quite expensive, I found, also, the use of the hotel taxi service excellent.
Where to start! I like everything about this hotel
A variety in breakfast cereal would have been nice
- Hotel Feature Tip : If you want a question answered, ask. The staff try very hard to get you the answer.
Reasonable hotel which lets itself down

The hotel seems appealing in the price bracket but is lets itself down with absolutely no noise isolation within the rooms and hallways which makes it only possible to sleep when the last guest in your area has finally retired and slammed their door until 6.30 am in the morning when the maids are talking in the hallway. Also on 8 occasions during our 4 nights stay I questioned that on returning to the hotel reception to retrieve our room key I had only to ask for the room number and was never asked for name etc .. in fact spoke to two separate guests whom had been given the incorrect keys. The breakfast was good but don't be late as one morning at 9.50am ~ 10 mins before closure items were being taken off the buffet.
Location is good as its on airport bus route.
Clean.
Bad security measures.
Poor fixtures in the rooms.
Noise level.

Overall, from the rate of the rooms we find the hotel very handy for our travels to Bangkok. We plan on staying here in our future trips.
The hotel was as usual very convenient in location for us. Rooms tidy and clean.
Water running from shower was a bit weak.
