This hotel is brilliant for people stepping off a plane. Just go to the ground floor of airport, follow the signs and walk straight to your room via subway tunnel. Or, catch the shuttle from the well-signposted door on floor 2.
Plenty of high quality dining and great food selection. Staff are courteous. Wifi costs (when will hotels learn to provide this free? These days, it's like charging for the hot water!). And the wifi really sucked as younger folk are wont to say.
Please hoteliers, rip up your carpets. My room, a non-smoking one, smelled of a party at Benson & Hedges. All in all, not a great experience. Expensive by Thailand standards and only redeemed by convenience to airport.

unbeatable location and nice hotel but not cheap
location, location, location
7.3
This was my third time staying at the hotel. The location cant be beat. The transfer either by foot or bus takes 5 to ten minutes max. Food has always been a little underwhelming, given the price of the hotel and its popularity amongst global business travelers. Not bad food, just not great. Rooms are big and spacious. One thing that needs mentioning: Housekeeping staff, especially in a hotel with a 24 hour check in policy need to frankly shut their mouths, or at least whisper when communicating in the hallways. It is so downright ignorant to speak in loud voices in hotel hallways at ANY hour of the day or night: people could be going to sleep at any hour. This is a common problem, not only with the staff at this hotel, but staff at almost every hotel. The same goes for travellers in general, many of whom think a hotel hallway is the proper place to hold loud conversations!

Beautiful hotel, great location!
Close to airport, safe and cosy, efficient staff
10
Very comfortable hotel, bar fridge cupboard locked - not sure why.
Easy walk from airport but needs better signage to allow travellers to use this option instead of shuttle bus.
Highly recommend if you need an overnight stay between flights!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Easy access to and from airport through new tunnel, near airport train.

Excellent airport location ~ if in transit
24 cafe & room service ~ variety of great restaurants
9
Rooms are a bit dated. Televisions are not flat screen, small and old. Bed comfortable. Great Hot water, which can be challenging in asia to get a bathtub full of hot water. Excellent restaurants. Great if you are in transit and have 24 hours or less in Bangkok. No need to leave hotel, they have everything you need.
Thai gifts in lobby.
The only complaint is there should be free wifi. They say there is wifi free in common areas, there is not. For the price of hotel room wifi should be included. I had to pay for wifi and it did not work. They did refund my money, just the whole thing inconvenient.
Restaurant Tip:
Lunch buffet worth the price ~ huge huge huge selections . Delicious foods. You will not be able to eat again that day... Too full.

Great hotel
Well equipped room and lovely pool and breakfast

Very easy access to airport via the shuttle - we didn't have to wait at all. The room was very comfortable apart from quite heavy duvets and too firm pillows. Our comments on these were acknowledged the next day by the hotel but it wasn't clear whether any action would be taken. We had a long wait for the taxi ordered by the concierge, but having said that, it was an inexpensive ride into the the city. We'd happily stay there again.

Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport has a good location with quiet and clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Reservation and payment was easy with no problems. Pool area was relaxing before flight. The SQUARE restaurant`s all-round buffet was excellent. Lobby was huge and photography. Hotel rooms were basic style and walking in long corridors might be lost.
