Quiet location, friendly staff and service expensive in-room internet, can certainly upgrade the TV sets I wanted in this trip to Bangkok to stay away from the city center and therefore looked for something different. I found Novotel hotel and was impressed with the price and amenities. During my 4-day stay, I had easy access to the large numbers of restaurants, night clubs and shopping centers. They are all within few kilometers from the hotel. As usual, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The in-room ethernet and wireless internet is fast, however, it is expensive at 500 baht per 24 hours. Nevertheless, I do recommend this hotel and will certainly go back again.
Restaurant Tip : Go to The CENTER shopping mall if you are interested in doing some gift shopping. The sixth floor is packed with electronic shops and latest in computers and entertainment equipments.

If you are in town for a business meeting or to go to the BITEC center for a convention or something, this place is absolutely perfect. You will never have any traffic to the airport and it is away from the bustling hectic city. Perfect for business but definitely not for the tourist who wants to experience Bangkok. The price of this hotel is awesome. More than adequate for a night or two in the city. The hotel is so far away from the center of the city, and there can be a lot of traffic to get there. You are looking at almost an hour or more with heavy traffic to get to the Sukhumvit area. Although rooms are cheap, the internet is really expensive, and they don't offer any Wi-fi except in the common area, ie. the lobby. If you don't mind being away from the bustling areas of Bangkok, there are plenty of shopping centers within close distance to this hotel. It says there is a shuttle bus to get to these centers, but it's better just to take a cab. I have stayed here already 3 times. One tiem it was because I had to attend BITEC for the auto show. Another was for a short vacation with my significant other. The pool is decent, but nothing special at all. Quiet and clean, and so cheap, it is hard to pass up. But as mentioned, if you are in Bangkok for the first time or there to sightsee, this hotel is way too far off from the attraction spots.

Chinese Restaurant is on groundfloor and easily accessible for those who like a bit of a change. Internet charges from their business centre is way over priced compared to Novotel at the airport. I chose this hotel from the internet. I needed a 1 night stop-over and I wasn't too concerned about the price as my company was picking up the tab. However, when compared to the Novotel at the airport, this hotel was a far better choice because it was less than half the price. And eventhough it was away from the airport, it is still alongside the freeway that will take you stright to the airport in less than 20 minutes.

Neat, clean, calm and quiet but that's about all there is to it! Much overpriced for its location and facilities I had an overnight stay in this hotel since it was close to a Thai friend's house. Even after having done Bangkok seven times earlier, I was a little vague about it's location. So after reaching there I actually realized that I was totally wrong in my decision of staying there. This hotel is near neither the airport nor the city center. I would recommend it to none - the transit passenger (there are many better hotels near the airport) or the tourist.

Very Clean, Close to Airport, Great minibar I wasn't here long enough to discover something I disliked I stayed here overnight in transit to catch a flight the next day. It was very relaxing and the room service was very good at such a late time I called.

The room and bathroom are very clean.. it's safe to stay there all by yourself. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. As I said before the room and bathroom are so clean. I love the room's decoration, very compact but very nice. The aircon doesn't make noise at all so I could sleep very tight. The check in staff was very professional I checked it after midnight but all of they looked all 100% awake. The check out thing was pretty fast, I must say it was very well organised and the staff were well trained. For sure I'd recommend this hotel to my clients, and I will certainly go back there again.

The internet connection was expensive per day and I had trouble visiting certain corporate websites.
Quite isolated
Breakfast was very expensive Overall the hotel is good in terms of staff and cleanliness though I was definitely a bit disappointed with the high charges for breakfast and internet - breakfast was fairly standard and I had lots of problems with the internet connection (the logged help desk call was returned but the issue was not resolved). Put it this way, overall it was okay but I decided to try another hotel on my next visit.

Close to the airport.It's very convenient to go to airport. There is not so many place to walk for shopping & eating unless you have car. Overall, the hotel is quite good, the only disadvantage of this hotel is not so convenient for transportation as long as you have car.
I will strongly recommand the Massage Chained Store on the opposite of the Hotel, named "Land of Health".
Shopping Tip : There is one famous Massage chained store on the opposite of the Hotel.

Friendly staff and good gym area if you're into that also. An out the way hotel which is neither close to downtown or particularly close to the airport 45 mins on a Sat afternoon to get here is not an Airport Hotel! Would possibly stay here again but sure there are better places for the cost . Not close to much and getting caught in the traffic really means you're adding extra 30 mins on each time you travel . Hotel was clean and pleasant but not stand out at all .

Clean, staff very welcoming. I have stayed at this hotel before, and it is in a very good location if you are on business and need to get to the industrial areas in this part of town. However, it is very far from the center of Bangkok, so don't stay here if you are hoping to do any sightseeing or tourist activities. Facilities were good, although would not suggest having massages at the hotel - I did and came away covered in mosquitoes bites - the spa seems to be the only place in the hotel that is infested with them.

This is probably my fault, but I thought I was booking the Novotel next to the airport (which is very luxurious compared to this one). Nevertheless, it is a nice hotel though slightly in the middle of nowhere (at least if you do not know Bangkok very well). The dinner buffet was excellent. Rooms were nice, as were the staff.
Hotel Feature Tip : Make sure you're not trying to book the airport Novotel.

clean, convenient, pleasant check in staff, quiet Restaurants are overpriced in the hotel Have used the Novotel in the past. Not many good business hotels in the area so in many ways the Novotel wins by default. Lobby atmosphere good and staff quick to help. Room was clean and contained just what a businessperson needs on a trip. The Square restaurant in particular has good food but is overpriced $40 for buffet. Overall will use again but the hotel could use some competition in the area

Good location for the new airport and also local to 2 excellent large shopping malls.
3 good restaurants. Mistakes made in final bills were down to staff either not being properly trained or a lack of communication via their database. I have stayed in this hotel many times and that speaks for itself - I would argue!
The fact that it is located just outside the busy heart of Bangkok centre is a plus point in terms of less traffic etc.
Given that it is near to shopping malls containing many restaurants makes it appealing although the hotels restaurants have never disappointed.
Shopping Tip : Use taxis to get to the local shopping malls as they are very near - so no need to become involved with traffic or parking etc.

Awesome breakfast. Beds are comfortable, quiet and rooms are clean. Staff are polite and helpful. No sightseeing around. Far from downtown. Metered taxi from airport is 260-300 baht. To airport is about 200 (a lot of streets are one way). The hotel breakfast is why we stay there. It's also about half way between town and the airport so we stay there to have meetings and yet not be sooo far away from airport for transfers to our next city. Email the hotel for a taxi map.
