Very convenient to airport; comfortable and quiet

none

Unless you have reason to go into the city, or are truly traveling on a shoestring budget, this is the hotel for you when transiting Bangkok. There are other, cheaper hotels within a few km of airport, but extra transport hassle isn't worth it, again unless the extra 50-75 USD is needed for other things. Quiet, comfortable rooms and range of eats to satisfy.

Hotel Feature Tip : Possible to walk to hotel through car park, but takes about as long (perhaps 10 min) as frequent hotel shuttles and less comfortable in heat/humidity, esp. with bags. Catch shuttle at exit 4. If walk have to go either up or down one level from airport exits to enter and transit car park; and ultimately to ground to enter hotel.

Well designed entrance, lobby and rooms. Fixtures and appliances in rooms very nice and modern. Beds and linen very clean and comfortable. Resturaunt food very delicious and wait-staff very attending. Hotel is VERY close to the airport, a free shuttle leaves every 15 mins and gets you to your air carrier within 10 mins or less.

Absurd mini-bar prices that average 4x or more what the identical item would cost in a local store. Resturaunt prices also very high. Hotel so close to airport no other establishments are in close proximity, i.e. returaunts, shopping, attractions etc.

When i first arrived i was delighted at the appearance and the friendly staff. After checking in my luggage was brought to my room. Rooms are very clean and modern. This hotel has a feeling like it was designed for business travelers and only staying one or two nights, either right after landing in bangkok, or right before leaving. This certianly isnt a hotel i would recommend staying at for any great duration as it is so removed from bangkok. I took a 30 min. cab ride just to get to any sort of shopping venue. Also i couldnt believe the mini-bar prices, they were completely absurd. I paid about 20 dollers U.S. for a half-pint of Smirnoff vodka, and 4 dollers U.S. for a can of tonic water, i noctied the price after opening. 4 dollers for a soda, when a local store sells them for about 30 cents. I also purchased internet (not-free, or included with room) i paid 700 bath or 22 dollers U.S. for 1 day (24 hours) of internet time. Note: internet time runs continuously and doesnt work in a time-bank like fashion. The resturaunts had really, really good food and service, there were several to choose from, chinese, japanese, thai and a deli style eatery. In short, good place to stay for business people for a night or two, or a somewhat romantic place for a couple to stay at for a short time. Just be prepared to spend a fair amount. DO NOT stay here if nightlife is even a small consideration for you, there are no bars, clubs or discos nearby.

Free pickup from and to the airport; large impressive lobby, beautiful pool. lovely bathroom and room furnishings, extremely comfortable feather top bed; convenience to airport.

No breakfast!!! We bought take-out pastries and ate them in room. No coffee-maker and not enough instant supplies in room. Not enough water - two small bottles is inadequate.

We stayed here because of an early morning flight to Shanghai and didn;t want to risk Bangkok traffic. Lovely hotel in most respects, but it fails in the details. 5 star appearance belies 2 star habits- i.e. - in our whole 3 week trip to S.E. Asia, no other hotel had those pesky non-removable hangers. Even in a Cambodian 2 star hotel, we had generous large bottles of water per person - at Novotel we got two pint-size for our whole stay. We went down to check out at 8:30 am on a Saturday morning only to find a gigantic line and one desk clerk on duty! At dinner the night before, I was brought the wrong Thai dish and I sent it back, yet I was still charged for the one they brought by mistake. I was too jet-lagged to fight. Yours is a beautiful hotel which left a very sour taste because of inherent cheapness - behave like a 4 or 5 star and it will be a delightful place. BTW - the Manager of the pool facility is a charming man who does your hotel proud.

Brand new, excellent location and very professional staff. Rooms are beautiful, spacious and very clean. All amenities are accounted for and provided.

Food took too long at the lobby restaurants.

When you need to stay at an airport for connection purposes, nothing could be better than having the hotel onairport grounds. Although the Bangkok Novetel is right there, there is absolutely no trace of airplanes taxing or taking off. This hotel is gorgeous and everyone associated with Novetel is extremely professional and friendly.

Restaurant Tip : Have your waiters/Waitresses more responsive and have the kitchen prepare food quicker

Lots to list, friendly staff, flexible with early check in, room was spacious and luxurious, bed was huge (bigger than king size) and the pool was just gorgeous, would definately recommend

cant think of any, maybe would have been good if breakfast included.

Loved the hotel, we stayed in between flights to and from Europe, the complimentary shuttle bus was easy to find and ready straight away, the hotel was gorgeous, very luxurious and quiet, felt very relaxed there, staff friendly, the bed was gigantic and the bathroom lovely, the pool was just the best and there was even jacuzzi and sauna in the changerooms. Definately would stay there again and recommend it.

Travel tip : Jacuzzi and steam room in the changerooms near the pool. Apparantly there is a train from the airport (walking distance from hotel) to the city so you could do shopping if you wanted to do so.

The spa is GREAT.

The brownies at the coffee place are really not good...

The spa is GREAT. We had a foot massage treatment, after a very long flight and it was amazing. The room was great. We had room service for dinner which was very quick and good. The Thai restaurant was great - good Thai soup. To sum up - this is a great way to spend your evening\night\few hours after a flight and before the next flight.

Hotel Feature Tip : Go have a SPA treatment.

Great shuttle, very close, fast checkout

Expensive hotel bar.

With a late arrival and an early checkout, the conveniences of this hotel made thinking not necessary. The shuttle was prompt and easy to find. Rooms were clean and modern. Checkout couldn't have been any simpler (dropping a card in a box). Don't go overboard at the hotel bar (prices are above 5 star).

Location is the best feature.Rooms are attractive and the public spaces grand.

I would have liked a more global menu in one of the restaurants. We had no hot water in either shower or bath - a real low point before a 30 hour flight.

We arrived in mid-afternoon to find a large, modern and attractive hotel. Everyone was courteous and obliging. the room was really quite fine and it was quiet. The hotel never felt full, to the contrary the cavernous public spaces seemed empty. The bar poured good drinks and restaurant service was splendid though I would have preferred a Pacific Rim menu. You must have hot water though and going to bed without a warm shower was a real let down. Departure was easy and the van exceptional. We would stay again and hope for hot water.

Hotel Feature Tip : Check for hot water when you first get into your room.

Nearest to Bangkok airport

No competition to speak of, so over priced

I've stayed at this hotel twice in the last two years. Once while in transit, Australia to U.K.. This last time, because I had an early flight from Bangkok. It is a great looking hotel, and the rooms are as good as any other I've stayed in.My only complaint is that as there is no real competition the price is inflated. I guess until another hotel is built nearby I will have to live with it.

Hotel Feature Tip : Happy hour??? in the bar, 4pm till 8pm. beer 100 baht

proximity to the airport, new, and very a very nice room with a lovely bathroom

could use better listing of hotel service phone numbers

I arrived tired after 20 hours of travel, and the luxury and comfort of the hotel room was just what I needed to sort me out for the next day of travel. If only I had brought a swim suit to have a swim in the lovely pool, that too would have been good for my body.

Arrival to free transport to hotel was easy, room was lovely and quiet. well furnished with easy multi elevator access. Great coffee bar in lobby and when the train to to downtown is completed and opemed in December this will truly be a premire spot on our travel agenda. Priced right.

access from the airport, nice rooms, good bed, and nice bathroom

a little pricy

If you have an overnight stay in Bangkok, this is your hotel. It is a little pricier than other hotels in the area, but it is so convenient. Once you pick up your bags, you go to the kiosk, and the shuttle takes you to the hotel, just a 2 minute drive. Taxi's are getting expensive in Bangkok so this is a saving and reduces the stress of getting a good rate going into town. The hotel is lovely, great rooms and food. The pool and fitness area are beautiful - very restful.

Vern close to airport although it is not "just 100 yards away". In reality the hotel may be about 100 yards away but it definitely needed the shuttle van as walking would not be an easy option. The Hotel is very nice and modern. The staff greetings were warm and friendly (isn't that always the way in Thailand) and check-in was without hassle. The buffet we had was well presented and extensive and our room (when settled) was adequate for our needs. As we only stayed overnight we did not get to experience other facilities other than the lobby lounge (very good) and the lobby restaurant.

Upon walking into our room it was very obvious to my wife and I that someone had been smoking in the room. The smoke smell was quite strong. This was a designated Non Smoking room so apparently the previous guest ignored the rules! To the hotels credit we were able to switch to another room of similar rating without any hassle. We were offered a room spray service which we declined as it would not really solve the problem. The manager who assisted our room switch was very apologetic although, as I said to him, it was not his fault as he is unable to control what some ignorant guests do after they shut the door to their room.

We liked the hotel and would stay again if were in need of transferring flights and needing airport accomodation.
