I stayed at this hotel and i was very glad to be close to the airport. I was able to get up early and leave whenever I needed to. Very nice customer service, rooms were wonderful. Having a pool and spa was a plus. Will enjoy the hotel again when leaving bangkok next year. The price was quite high but well worth it.
Swimming pool, easy access to airport.

The hotel is very convenient for transit passengers but, unlike similar airport hotels, the quality of accommodation, food and service is exceptionally high. The rooms, especially the beds, are very comfortable and modern. Accommodation and meals are reasonably priced. Outside the hotel there is nowhere to walk to (other than the airport building itself) so it would not be suitable for longer stays of more than one day.
Comfortable rooms, friendly and efficient staff, complimentary transfers to and from the airport, good Thai food in the restaurant and pleasant spa.
Slightly expensive spa treatments.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Finding the transfer desk in the airport building can be difficult if it is your first visit.

The Bangkok Novotel Airport Hotel is conveniently located at the Bangkok International Airport. A free shuttle runs every ten minutes between the airport and the hotel. The Business Center offered a comfortable and convenient location for internet access. It was convenient, but pricey. The restaurants offered 24-hour dining on a limited menu that included both Asian and western selections. The cheese plate offered flavorful and interesting selections.
Convenience for travelers.
Distance from downtown.
- Hotel Feature Tip : We arrived into the hotel very late and had a tasty meal of noodles at the Square Restaurant in the lobby after midnight.

As with all Novotel hotels the staff were very professional and pleasant. I did have to ask twice for an adapter though which was frustrating. Arriving at Bangkok airport I found it difficult to find how to get to the hotel. I could see it just didn't know how to get there. When I finally did find the Novotel guest desk near the international gates it was unmanned. The mini bus service was efficient.
It is very convenient to the airport.
It was hard to find how to get to the hotel when I arrived at the airport.

Suggest prompter more efficient check in. Travelers are from all over the world and coming in 24/7. It should be better.
Long distance telephone service provider advertised in room fairly useless, for any significant lengthy call. Unfortunately my cell phone was not working, so i required this service.
Modern, bright, beautiful structure, with stunning atrium.
Great access to airport.
Fabulous spacious and luxurious rooms.
Slow, inefficient check-in in a hotel with guests arriving 24/7, needing an overnight stay or short sleep.
Long distance telephone service cuts off at about 15 minutes, requiring repeat hook up. Each time you pick up the phone, there is a charge. Nasty shock.
Forced to give luggage up to the bell boy and then obliged to tip him. We were well and able to handle our minimal luggage. On the way out we had to be very vehement about the same, and had to hold on tight to our bags.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Access to airport by underground tunnel ( walk) or convenient frequent shuttle bus is a fabulous feature.

It was a 45 minute drive ($10 cab ride) into downtown. The concierge gave a great restaurant recommendation downtown, where we had the best Thai food ever! The shuttle between the airport and hotel ran promptly and regularly. The hotel also arranged an extra shuttle at 4:00 A.M., when there were several popular flights departing.
Very convenient for an overnight between flights.
Far from downtown.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Check out the massage/spa specials by the pool before 6:00 P.M.

I have stayed at the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel Bangkok several times since its opening. It is a great improvement on airport-hotel facility since the "old" BKK airport. The transfer to and from the airport is very easy and efficient. The staff is now well-trained (there were some glitches the first week it opened). The food is OK but not of the quality of major downtown hotels. The spa is excellent in services and design as is the pool area.
Very conveniently located to the Bangkok "new" international airport with free shuttle service / excellent in-hotel spa.
Breakfast buffet often seemed "exhausted" - restocking could be better / long line for custom cooked eggs / pricing takes advantage of a rather captive audience due to lack of local competition.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Make use of BKK for entry or exit to SE Asia, very convenient.

I found the rooms in the novotel to be small but really quite nice - for the same price i could stay at the lebua which had great views and rooms twice as big. I appreciated the shuttle to the airport every 15 minutes and the chinese restaurant was great - delicious food and great value, i also like the late check out option - i checked out at 2 but my flight didnt leave until 7pm i wish there was a lounge for me to wait in until that time but there wasnt or it wasnt shown to me.
location, age of hotel,
size of room, no shuttle to city, shower was poorly designed
- Hotel Feature Tip : shuttle to the airport goes every 15 minutes
good example of a great idea

I flew from San Francisco via Hong Kong via Singapore and had to fly the following day to Luang Prabang, so decided to book here for the night. Novotel staff was helpful with bags and information (at Gate Four). Considered walking, but it was a good thing I took the shuttle because: 1) it was pouring rain; and 2) turns out you cannot walk to the hotel from the terminal even though you can see that it is a stone's throw away (I read somewhere that there is supposed to be a tunnel being built). Shuttle comes very often. Checked in, but the computer terminals (and keys) were not working, so reception had housekeeping come open the door to the room. Lobby is massive and modern. Pool looks wonderful. There was a restful lovely tropical garden to meditate over between the spa and pool. Room is beautiful, modern, immaculate, had great bathroom design with a glass window between the bedroom and the bathroom, a bathtub, a separate shower, hand-held shower heads, dual-flush toilet, gorgeous finishes. Did not love the toiletries. Smelled nice enough, but shampoo did not really clean my hair. Restaurant in lobby had a buffet that did not move me, so ordered a la carte. Took them a long, long time to bring the food out. Did not have the staple classic Thai iced coffee. Food was just so-so. Now spa, on the other hand, was great, very beautiful, stones alongside walkway, lit with candles, punctuated with orchids. Treatment room had own locker and complete bathroom with separate shower and tub. Clean, with towels, robes, sandals, etc. Curiously, no toilet paper holder in the separate toilet. Massage (with herbal compress) was relaxing and discounted because it was early in the morning. Staff super attentive, tried very hard to speak English (I think she read from a piece of paper certain relevant phrases), but did not understand much. Well, this is not a criticism as my Thai is non-existent. Overall, I think the whole idea of having a luxe airport hotel is great.
super convenient if you are in transit;
beautiful spa with attentive staff;
great bathroom in the room and in the spa (treatment room had own bathroom)
did not love the food in the restaurant;
could not just walk over from terminal (tunnel not completed?)
- Hotel Feature Tip : Check out the spa while you here in transit, esp. in the mornings when there are discounts.

(1) Being able to easily access the hotel from the airport by boarding a waiting shuttle was a huge advantage of your hotel, and then being at the hotel within seven minutes was also a big advantage;
(2) The room was very neat, clean, and once I understood how to turn on the lights, was easy to understand;
(3) I also liked having the two bottles of water provided by the hotel when I arrived;
(4) having newspapers provided in English was an unexpected surprise;
(5) the luncheon buffet was exemplary with ample choices and delicious food;
(6) the fruit punch out by the pool was very nice.
Modern design, clean, neat, proximity to airport.
(1) not being able to drink the tap water was an annoyance;
(2) having to bring my certificate with me when I checked in was an inconvenience;
(3) having to call the front desk to ascertain how to turn the lights on in my room was an incon-venience;
(4) and not having the toiletries in the bathroom provided as part of the room charge was unfortunate.
