• Generously sized rooms with well equipped kitchen
• Well-designed bathroom with ample storage
• In-room washing machine & dryer
• Immaculately maintained.
• Firm bed, down-feather pillows
• Roof top swimming pool, although small, is well maintained
• Broadband access is chargeable
• Public corridors are non-airconditioned and therefore stuffy.
• Basic facilities in gym
We used to stay at the Emporium Residence next door for years until we discovered The Oakwood Residence (TOR) through Agoda. What we liked most about TOR is the proximity to the Emporium Shopping Centre with all its eating and shopping outlets and the BTS (the Bangkok rail system) which gives you ease of access to all parts of town.
What attracted us to TOR was its stylish and uncluttered furnishing and above all its in-room washing machine and dryer which allows one to travel with a near empty suitcase to Bangkok and return with a full load of shopping.
The downsides are:
1. that broadband access, whilst efficient, is chargeable,
2. stuffy corridors, understandable in the light of energy conservation,
3. limited or non-existent views from the rooms,
4. limited hotel facilities but this is more than compensated by the facilities in the rooms

Easy access to the Emporium Shopping Centre, walk to Skyrail and Sukhumvit Road not too far from the the Robinhood or Dubliner - great way to kick back with other westerners.
Service was great. Pool was good. Meeting room was perfect
No complaints really. The It is hard to find of soi 24 - but once you get there, its nicely tucked away.
Will definitely tay there again. Easy access to everything, the rooms were very nice and clean. No bath, but very comfortable.
Will use this place again on my return
Travel tip : Great place for foot massage 100 metres down the road towards sukhiumvit. Go to Nuch and see Pee ann. There massages are the best.
(Dont expect anything but a great foot massage -they are not "special" massage)

Location - right across from the Emporium, which is next to BTS station.
Amenities - contains a washer/dryer, a kitchenette with full kitchenware.
Furnishing - contemporary, NEW.
We were looking for a hotel with good location and Oakwood was about 4 minutes walk from the Prompong BTS station. We wanted a clean place to stay and Oakwood was exceptionally NEW and very well furnished. We were surprised to see a washer, a dryer, a kitchenette with full kitchenware! Overall an excellent hotel!

Center of every thing. close to BTS staion only 5 minute walk.
washing machine very lound need to be out of the room.
Good location for a nice and charming apartment. Close to BTS station and a lots of nice eating place closed by. Staff very helpful and always have a smile on their face, will do anything to give you comfort while stay there. Not a lot of tourist and not to much commercial in your face all the time. We love it, quiet and private. Next time will stay again.
Restaurant Tip : Seafood market resterant very close by. In a walking distance. Great place to eat.

Everything is there! Shopping, MRT, Restaurants…and kind staffs, new rooms.
No Free internet and Breakfast, consider Biz resident, other Hotels such as Furama, Citadine..they provide all..
For vacation and business very good location , but slightly expensive for the facilities,, swimming pool..
Internet is the week point…

The room had a lot of stuff like washing machine
Theroom size was smaller than I think most weterners would like. The air conditioner blew cold air directly opposite the bed. Not much within walking distance to see except one large expensive famous deparment store.
The room was too small for two people, The room was very modern with sharp edges onth corners of the bed which due to lack of space it was easy to hit legs. If you are in hurry don,t use the washer dryer combo it takes hours. They had a plasma Tv and sterio equipment opposite the bed, but with the air conditioner placed between the speakers so the air conditioner noise was ever present.

Good location (except the nearby construction site) / Comfortable bed/ Strong water pressure/ With washing machine(bring your own washing powder)
Zero service/ unhelpful staff/ no room directory nor no price list for in-room telephone service/ no connection with Thai tourist authority
I'm "lucky" enough to stayed in Oakwood RS24 during the closure period of the BKK airport. I'm so desperate to seek help from ORS24 staff cos they will give you no assistance nor update news as they (seem to)have no connection to any tourist group nor airline or even the TAT(Tourist Authority of Thailand). I stay in Hua Hin when the airport started to closed and the resort (not much expensive than ORS24) proactively offer assistance for checking up with airline for flight confirmation and update me with the latest development(as most of the news are in Thai). You never deserve such kind of service in ORS24 and they are so reluctant to offer any help to tourist. They will not help you to check up the flight schedule with airline even though the hot line are in Thai, know lesser about the incident status than me, and never advice us to call up TAT/ embassy/ any tourist association for help. They even can't provide any contact of any travel agency as per my request.
Maybe I'm not a long-stay Japanese which is their prioritized client and there is only one (actually two, me & my husband) stranded visitor stayed in ORS24 so there is no need to provide any help to us.
I really understand ORS24 is a serviced apartment but I only expected a little bit more assistance from them under such extraordinary circumstance.
Restaurant Tip : There is a Thai chicken rice stall nearby, just around the corner of Emporium/ Naraya. Only open at night, around 19:00 - 22:00. You may also found Thai pancake stall around sometimes, perfect dessert with chicken rice.

New and big rooms, good location, small scale hotel that make it good to live with families especially with kids.
I'm from Malaysia and I've been to Bangkok several times and I'm a frequent traveler to China and Hong Kong, so far this is the best hotel I'm staying that is below USD80. The room with kitchen with full set of kitchen wares, the room is huge with a king size bed and a 3 sitter sofa set, LCD TV, DVD players, nice air con that cool the room in just 5 min, big bathroom with all new sanitaries wares. The location is just 5 min walk to sky train, opposite the hotel is a very good massage and one of the biggest shopping complex is just 3 min walk from the hotel.
Shopping Tip : Emporium shopping mall.

Location close to everything. Shopping, resturants, and night lif. Bed was good as well as pillows.
Air conditioner facing bed.
I enjoyed my stay at Oakwood residence 24. One problem was air conditioner facing bed. I like the location. Staff friendly and helpful. breakfast OK. Had better at different hotels. Overall I would rate hotel 7 out of 10. Would stay ther again.

very convenient for transportation, clean, the waiter and waitress inside the restaurant are so nice and they provided a good service, the facilites (iron, hair-dryer, washing machine, etc)inside the room are completely enough.
no comb, tooth brush and toothpaste inside the bathroom, the air-conditioner produces a very loud noise, the pillows are not comfortable enough
Thought there are still room for Oakwood to improve as abovementioned, we are still very enjoy our stay in Oakwood this time as it gives us a home-like feeling. The staff there are so nice, esp. those inside the restaurant when I met during my breakfast time, they are very friendly and zealous! Besides, choosing to stay in Oakwook saved a lot of our time for transportation as the taxi drive knows exactly the location of the hotel as it is just opposite to Emporium. That's what we like the most. And we might choose Oakwood again for our next stay in Bangkok!
Restaurant Tip : Sukhothai Restaurant inside Davis Campus is a really nice restaurant with very delicious Thai crusine.
