Close to the sky train and lots of street shopping. It is just far enough from the main street to enjoy a little quiet.

The dining room was closed for remodeling when I stayed there, though I am sure it is ready by now.

This is a nice place for the money. The rooms are just like little apartments and you can be quite comfortable there for lenghty periods of time. There is not much of a view from most rooms because of the tall buldings in the area but this is typical of Bangkok. There are great food stalls right on the street near the hotel and you are about a 10 minute walk from Bumrungrad Hospital. There are taxi cabs on the street at all hours, so if you dont feel like walking its not a problem to get a ride quickly. Charming hotel with friendly staff and I would stay again.

Restaurant Tip : Don't be afraid to try some of the food stalls on the street. You can eat here for much less and save your money for shopping or sight seeing.

good price, reasonable size room, clean, garage, not too far from BTS, efficient reception service

All taxis passing by refused to use their meters, maybe they don't like that Soi? Hotel is getting a bit older, bathrooms functional but dated

I was looking for a clean hotel within walking distance of BTS and not too far from Bumrungrad Hospital. I required secure carparking We appreciated the breakfast being included in the price, although the choice was limited to Continental or american breakfast, no local alternative such as rice soup, which would make it friendlier for visitors with a Thai partner. Our room was on the 26 floor, giving a nice view over the city. Everything worked. I'll be happy to return one day.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Contrary to what some maps indicate, it is possible to drive out of soi 4 at the far end, during the day via the Tobacco Monopoly road, thus avoiding the awkward exit onto Sukhumvit via Soi 6.

Good location, cheap and included breakfast

Crappy AC, poor breakfast and old hotel

Nice location down Soi 4, not far from Sukumvit Road. They upgraded us but our room had really bad AC, barely kept up. Breakfast was al la carte and pretty small and not great quality. Service was slow as the waitress was also the cook! Hotel was really old with a funny smell of cigarette and incense smoke. The walk down Soi 4 from Sukimvit Road is a bit tiresome as you have to dodge a lot of drunks/prostitutes and food carts. Not a great walk for families.

Travel tip : free tuk tuk available for short trips

Helpful staff Clean, spacious rooms

A bit out of the way

A bit out of the way - particularly at night when you may have to walk past the seedy Nana plaza, which is not the best if you are with a family. Taxi drivers are not always keen to take you there as it involves a long and windy one way trip. The rooms were fine (we were upgraded), sel-contained with all facilities. The staff are really nice, breakfast was basic but ok.

Good views of BKK from the front of the building, staff, location for nitelife.

Older feel inside rooms, lots of noise and bars in the street, beds

The main reason to stay here is if you want to be close to bars and the nitelife. The skytrain is a longwalk but the hotel does off a free shuttle to Sukumvit, the staff is good and they even have english nick names to make it easy for foreigners to remember them. The rooms are dated as the hotel is around 12 years old. Not a great family hotel. overall a 3 star place and decent value.

Nightlife Tip : Good place for nightlife, bad for families

Convenient, good views, staff

old building, smoke filled lower floors, beds, bar soi

This is a 3 star hotel/condo with good staff. They even have english nick names to make it easy to say their names. On the down side the beds are old and wornout soft, smoke smelling room below the 24th floor, deep in the soi so far from the sky train. Lots of bars and working girls running in and out. The breakfast is a weak. There is a free shuttle to Sukumvit.

Nightlife Tip : Very close to bars

Staff, views from the front of the building, convenient location for food, shuttle close to skytrain free

Old building

The hallways are dark and the bed mattresses are old too. If you stay below the 23rd floor prepare for the smell of smoke. Lots and lots of bars being in soi nana and if your intention is to be close to that scene this is a good stay primarily because I find the staff with english nick names accommodating relative to what you normally get in Thailand. Over all I would stay this is a 3 star hotel with a decent location after you consider the free shuttle that takes you to Sukumvit. If the staff wasnt a plus it would be a 2.5 star place in my book.

Nightlife Tip : close to bars

The hotel is clean with spacious rooms and a little removed from the very busy part of the area.

The carpet in the rooms and halls needs replaced and smells a little old. The included breakfast gives only 2 very limited choices and is not a buffet as most other places have. The pool is shaded most of the day and there are very limited chairs around it and no poolside service.

This hotel is adequate and for the price it does compare to others in the same range. I have been to Bangkok 8 times now and have stayed in different places each time (sometimes 2) I really have no major complaints. The security is fantastic. The little diner needs help to become more of a place you want to eat--it is very small (but tidy) and has seemingly very limited service considering the size of the place. People also live here, so the place does not have the typical hotel charm and bells and whistles you may expect, but that was fine for me because I needed a break from all that after being out and about in the streets all day. It is a little walk to the skytrain but not too far. There is plenty to see and do right on the block. I would stay again.

Restaurant Tip : Although enough (I guess) 2 pieces of toast, over-cooked eggs and 3 small chunks of bacon with a little fruit will do for some, I would skip the free breakfast and go eat somewhere else for a better Thai experience. If you are there over a weekend, please check out the Centara Grand Hotel for a buffet dinner. For 990 THB you can eat some of the best food and drink free-flow of wines all night! Make reservations!
