The 3 nights spent at Pathumwan Princess Hotel were definitely a good stay. A very good location situated in the central of BKK with nice ambiance and super clean environment. Service is good too. The food is good especially the tom yam soup, “MUST TRY”. The dinner buffet is worth it too. Around SGD 40 per pax

* Great location for shopping at MBK. * Large rooms.

* Tired, old looking room. * Thin towels. * Basic quality fixtures. * Costs the same as 5 star hotel e.g. Sofitel. * Ancient, unsafe cots (we had to complain and insisted on a better one, which came but was very scratched).

Overall, unimpressed. Room needed a major face lift. Not worth the money even though it's right above MBK. Was disappointing.

Great hotel all around! It exceeded our expectations many times over. Centrally located and superb amenities.

Had to have a key to keep air & lights on, needs more towel racks in bathroom. The shower needs to have a higher shower head and someplace to hang towel and washcloth when in shower.

The hotel was everything we expected and more. Our room was big and had a breath-taking view of the pool and city scene. The room was very clean and the bathroom was bigger than my closet at home. The hotel is a smoke free hotel. They are also trying to go green and in doing so asked their guests to reuse their towels and linens but they do not provide enough towel racks in that big bathroom to accommodate that. The pool and the spa are wonderful and very inviting. Everyone should try both. The gym is fully equipped and has a staff to guide you with your exercise program. The dining is superb from the breakfast buffet to their formal dining: Korean, Thai and Italian, something for everyone. We will definitely stay at the Princess every time we come to Bangkok in the future.

Shopping Tip : The MBK center is attached and very reasonable, also the Siam Center is across the street with their adjoining shopping adventures. Great time and fun.

Very accessible with a mega mall just beside. Very flexible.

Front staff should improve their English.

Really enjoyed my stay at Patthuwan Princess. They provide very good service. Not only are the staff patient, but they are very responsive to every request. My return flight is at late evening, thus they even granted my special request for late check-out. Really appreciate that. The location is also another plus point. It is very accessible and is just next to a mega mall. Opp the hotel, there are 2 24-hours convinent shops, where we pop by every night for supper. Will definitely recommend my friends to stay there.

Shopping Tip : Just beside MBK, with BTS just a 5-min walk away.

The Patumwan Princess Hotel Bangkok was a great choice for me, it was a very flashy hotel everything is included, they have universal adapters for things you may need to use, complementary bottled water, safe, great TV, comfy bed and such a clean room, and it is connected to the biggest shopping mall in Bangkok and oh my gosh it is big you can buy anything and everything there, i did. This hotel is a must must must

25m pool, very convenient for shopping.

All rooms non-smoking

BTS station Tokyu, MBK did not go through and feel the heat arrived. Paragon, Siam easier to go to the convenience. 25m swimming pool for adults and children with a solid Gemasu lane. Smoking is accepted by the pool was rescued by a non-smoking room is so difficult for smokers. Did not know at the time of booking.

This was our 2nd stay at PP. Both times we stayed in the execuplus suite and both times it was excellent as usual. It is a great 4 star hotel with outstanding service and hospitality. It needs to be renovated & upgraded. PP should get new couches & LCD tv's. Other than that the pool, gym, spa, rooms, service is 2 thumbs up. How can you not like a hotel built on the MBK mall. The location is great, you don't even have to leave the hotel/mall premises to get to Siam Discovery, Siam Square, Siam Paragon, etc. Watch all the movies at SF Cinema City, EGV Grand or Paragon Cineplex. 5 mins away from PatPong. Take a short trip to the grand palace or chatuchak market. Visit suan lum night bazar & ocean world in siam paragon. Love PP

So conveniently attached to MBK. Shopping was so easy. Very cosmopolitan hotel.

The carpet in the corridors on floor 22 needs to be aired or replaced!!

This hotel was fabulous. The staff were great - although I wouldn't expect anything less from the Thai people! It was a shopper's paradise - so conveniently attached to MBK. The facilities were world class and the fit out of the hotel was very cosmopolitan. The only negative comment I have is that the carpet on level 22 (in the corridors) was a little whiffy - probably needs to be aired or replaced. Will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Restaurant Tip : If you want to eat on a budget - the MBK international food court on level 5 of the shopping centre is fabulous. There is something for everyone and it is cheaper than eating in the hotel!

Very near to MBK shopping mall

Pathumwan Princess Hotel Bangkok is definitely worth 5* . Located just beside MBK, shopping is never easier than this hotel. We stayed in a suite room, and it is able to house another spare bed for a family to share in the room. Internet is NOT wireless, so business travelers might need to take note on this. You will need an ethernet connection before using it. Room is also slightly colder than usual, so we stayed with the aircon off (note: not even turned to warmer temperature).

I would not hesitate to recommend the Pathumwan Princess to anyone planning a trip to Bangkok. From arrival to check out I found the hotel staff and their services to be flawless. Check in was very efficient and it was such a relief to have staff whisk our (very heavy) luggage away to our room without being asked. Throughout my travels in other European cities, no hotel was a fraction as helpful. We made a last minute decision to have a late check out and staff quickly made arrangements. It was just so effortless. Staff even allowed us a further 45 mins (free of charge) because I was stuck in the usual heavy Bangkok traffic. We had the superior suite and it was immaculate in everyway. Housekeeping always out performed my expectations and overall all staff were upfront and gave you all the information you needed. Other hotels I always managed to attract some hidden fees. If the truly outstanding Pathumwan Princess is rated 4-star, I cannot imagine what more could be done for guests at a 5-star hotel.

Shopping Tip : Shopping indeed involves a lot of haggling and you should never take the first price on offer. But I do suggest that hagglers should be careful not to offend the locals by making a too low of an offer. I did such a thing and my item was taken from me and returned to the shelf and the sales lady turned her back on me. It was a subtle message to leave the shop. Oops

Clean, spacious, fast checkout

Taxis hailed by hotel do not follow taxi meter and are not honest.. Hotel should ensure taxis hailed at lobby should comply with metered rates.

Booking by agoda proved to be quick and a fast confirmed booking was done within minutes. Price is quite reasonable and competitive with other online agents. Hotel room description matches the actual room. Hotel amenities were adequate and as it is a non smoking hotel, it was ideal for me and my wife whom were non smokers. All the staff in the hotel spoke english, which is another plus point for farang tourists. The Princess Pathumwan hotel made my stay in bangkok very comfortable and relaxing.

Shopping Tip : Visit MBK as it is a huge mall which adjoins the hotel. No need to take taxis which most of them will quote crazy prices to go places that are walkable.

Good location such as near BTS station, MBK shopping center.

For smoker, not allowed hotel policy. Also guest rooms are no smoking. I didn't know when i was booking this hotel.

This hotel is very good location, such as near BTS station and MBK shopping center. However for smokers, don't choose this hotel because all non-smoking in the hotel even guest rooms also.

Big, clean rooms and central location, great Korean restaurants and cafe

Furnishings need to be updated

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of the shopping district and connects to the BTS, which is so convenient. Particularly, i enjoyed the shopping centres around such as Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery Centre and Siam square. The service provided by the Hotel staff was excellent, and they accommodate our request for a late check out very obligingly. Will definitely return when i visit Bangkok in the future!

Restaurant Tip : The Korean Restaurant on the 2nd floor serves excellent and authentic Korean food!

For my money Princess is the best place to stay in Bangkok. The hotel has great facilities - pool, gym, restaurants and two tour desks plus it is connected to MBK - a 7-level air conditioned shopping centre that has two food halls and from there via the skybridge to the 7 or 8 Shopping Centres at Siam Square, from MBK you can access the skytrain network to get to lots of places in Bangkok. Its also a 10-minute walk to Klong san seb if you want to travel Bangkok waterways like the locals

Shopping Tip : Check out the 7 level air conditioned Mahbonkrong (MBK) shopping centre and its foodhalls. Cheaper than eating in the hotel. Also has some western style chains like Starbucks, KFC and Burger King.
