While we were on a shuttle boat my wife suddenly fainted and hit her head on a step of the deck. We immediately came back to our room and she took a rest on her bed. When I informed the front desk about our accident, a nurse came in shortly and took care of her. Fortunately, she was not very seriously injured. Later, a Japanese lady, Ms. Yuki Ohyama, of the front desk called me and offered assistance to us, which was very helpful to us.
Very careful service for my wife's sudden illness.

The peninsula hotel was without doubt the best hotel we has ever stayed in, as we mentioned it was our honeymoon they delivered a bottle of champange to our room. The room was amazing and staff were the most attentive and friendly we have experienced. We would highly recommend this hotel and although the breakfast was expensive it was of a very high standard. The location across the river worked in our favour as the hotel provided regular boat taxi's to piers across the river. All in all - 10 out of 10 for us.
Hotel facilities, attentive staff, amazing room and the view.
Location across from river may not suit all, breakfast was expensive.
- Shopping Tip : Get skytrain to siam center for all the amazing shopping malls.

The hotel was beautiful, everything was impeccable. From the driveway up to the hotel, to the artwork outside the elevators, to the poolside trees, nothing looked out of place. Likewise, the service is amazing.
However, even though there is a boat shuttle running across the river, the hotel is inconvenient to the rest of the city. Except for Wat Arun, there is nothing really worthwhile on the Thonburi side of the river.
On whole, the hotel itself is amazing, but would benefit from having other things that are walkable.
Also, I would not recommend the breakfast buffet, approximately $30 per person, but not worth the money.
Service, decor, relative value

- Hotel Feature Tip : The boat ride approaching the Peninsula at night is stunning with both sides of the river completely alight.

The staff is polite and efficient but has somehow an air of "superiority", makes you feel guilty if you ask them for anything. They are very concerned that you will not run off the hotel without paying!
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Must see the Floating Market.

Very happy with this hotel. A combination of timeless class that makes you feel like the hotel could be a lot older than it is, but cutting edge technology, where everything is thought of.
- Shopping Tip : Catch the ferry to the sky rail terminal (Thaksin). Catch the sky rail to National Stadium, and then shop at MBK.

Pricey but worth it.
Luxury! Great pool! Great dinning! Wonderful rooms (and bathrooms) with fantastic views of the river. Definitely a nice calm refuge in a very busy city.
Pricey.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get a guide from Tong Tours...they are excellent. Also, have some spa services at Healthland...much cheaper than Penisula Spa and very good quality.

Agoda was extremely helpful in finding the best rate for the hotel and everything was in order when we arrived. I also use them for the Banyan Tree in Phuket, and again everything was just as we had arranged on the internet. Thank you for exceptional service.
- Restaurant Tip : We asked for local popular un-touristed restaurants, and they sent us to a wonderful experience--after giving us several options.
