this was an affordable hotel for my husband and i to stay for two nights. the rooms were clean. breakfast was included and had enough choices. the staff was helpful with directions and translations.
we have no complaints, but if we had children we would not stay here. it is located around a "red light district" that you have to walk or drive through. it's very crazy at night, but the hotel was still very quiet.

having stayed in bangkok many times over the years this was by far the best hotel in terms of value for money. great suites, two large lcd tvs excellent air con and comfy beds. so clean you felt guilty using the room! location is first class just a couple of hundred metres from nana station also. breakfast was great and like all here, served with a big smile!! paid over twice as much in the past elsewhere and not had all of these things. 5 star plus for us and no doubt where we will stay next time. no contest!

I will always treat myself and stay at Phachara for at least one night whenever I'm in Bangkok. The location is perfect and the rooms are straight up amazing. You can stay at cheaper places in Bangkok for sure, but I don't think you'll find any better rooms. But, can you please stop charging for wireless internet access...it's the year 2012. I will never pay for that, and if you know what you're doing, there are ways around it any way :)
Nightlife Tip:
Go out on Soi 4. It's an experience unlike any other in the world.

fine but a little bit overpriced

overall fine hotel - clean, big rooms, a little bit noisy aircon. the receptionists very quite cold but it's a minor issue. located near go go bars. but seems it's now evewhere in thailand, even in 5 stars hotels which is quite shocking and upsetting.

Internet is not free but you can take free access in reception and later use it in your room.

Very nice worth a stop

these serviced apartments (boutique hotel) are very good indeed. located a quiet area off soi 4 but still close to bars, restaurants and sky train makes this an ideal location to stay.
the rooms were great - very spacious and the beds were so so comfortable. we never ate in the hotel but it looked good on the menu we saw.
staff were very friendly and aside from a blocked toilet when we arrived - which was fixed very quickly - we would strongly recommend this hotel to those wishing to be in sukhumvit.
