Great Location and Great Rooms

Excellent hotel!! Far better than anything in the area for that price. I had problems with some noise from the floor above us (restaurant). After I complained they immediately gave me a new room.
The only weird thing about this hotel is that you can only book and pay through Agoda?! They do not even take cash! This turned out to be a problem for my friend that had a credit card that did not get accepted by Agoda. So she had to give me cash and I had to use my card for the transaction.
So do not show up without a booking!
I never experienced that type of booking policy before.
Restaurant Tip:
When you go out of the hotel take a right and continue down the road for a couple of minutes. When you pass 7-eleven on your right side there is a small food market on the side of the road. Excellent Food! Try the BBQ Chicken and sticky rice! Only a couple of dollars for a full meal.

hotel has a quiet spa at its 10th floor. it's walking distance to huay kwang night market. entertainment centres are along the streets. close to 7-11s. 60baht taxi rides, 5mins journey to robinsons, big-c and esplanade shopping centre.

the staff was friendly and welcoming, service was always prompt. rooms are large and well laid out. hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. hotel is certainly good value for money. the hotel is located within walking distance from sutthisan mrt station and there are many restaurants and food stalls close by.
the only problem was the traffic noise from the main road, but in our room, we could eliminate most of it by closing the heavy curtains and closing the bathroom door, as the bathroom had the main window facing the road. overall, a very pleasant stay.

While the Pietra is a nice looking hotel, and is positioned fairly well, the service has something to be desired. The only reason I rated it well was that I really liked the room itself
Room service took well over an hour, this is after me calling back and confirming it was actually on its way, it arrived cold and had clearly been sitting for sometime. (this meal should have taken only 20 mins to prepare mind you)
The rooms, as we had a group of 5 with a room each, pretty much all of them smelt of bleach/chlorine cleaning products, with mine smelling the worst of all 5. When I informed the staff they either had no idea what i was talking about or simply didn't care enough to even enquire.
The staff were not all that courteous, or helpful, or very happy to see you there. Both in the restaurant, the service was mediocre, and the lobby as well. Checkout took considerable time as well.
Restaurant Tip:
The food is nice in the on site restaurant, a good attempt at fine dining, but the end result lead a lot to be desired. You might have better luck, avoid anything with steak/beef, its tough as nails.

Very poor service from hotel staff. Most had almost no english. When I asked one of the staff to take some dirty plates and cutlery left over from room service they did so, only to leave them on the stairs. Over 24 hours later the dirty items were still there.
Hotel did not list prices for any services advertised in booklet (e.g. laundry service), nor did it list a number to call for any of them. Attempting to use room service, when I dialed "operator" i was told to dial room service direct and given an extension number. Room service told me to use the operator and hung up. A different operator then took my order.
Staff offer to take your laundry to "external" laundry for "half the price" of hotel laundry service (60 baht per item external, 120 baht per item for hotel laundry). There is no way to verify this claim as there are no printed prices. I expect staff have the laundry done at minimal cost and pocket the difference.
Room service food was average at best, and cold.
