Good, clean hotel but inconvenient

This is a nice boutique hotel but be prepared to walk from the subway for 5-10 minutes. Food options nearby are not so great.

Disappointing location and difficult to find
the people were friendly and helpful but the hotel was almost empty perhaps as a result of the flooods or the location

the place started off on a bad note due to the location (wrong side of the road, between to overhead street crossing points and two mrt stations and also difficult for taxis), the rather drab exterior and the sand bags.the room however was bigger and better than i expected but they need to do some serious refurbishment on the rooms and the rest of the hotel. the bed as fine but the wooden furniture needed a new coat of paint, the chair fabrics needed a thorough dry cleaning and the bathroom needs updating. the tv channels were also pretty limited for non thai guests. the same problems confront the dining room. throw away the dreadful sauce bottles or at least remove them from the table as apart from being ugly they attract ants and my table had ants all over the table cloth. food is ok but the atmosphere needs working on (plants, flowers, close off open view of lobby and the noisy tv in the lobby).
Travel tip:
Book yourself in at the Emerald instead

Stayed there twice. Service is consistently good. Location is great, right in the middle of Ratchada where you can get access to anywhere.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a "side stree" retaurant around Thanon Pracharat Bamphen road (opposite the temple).The "Moo Yang" is very good.

i had a really good time staying at this hotel. i did return to this after my flight had been cancelled.
i recommended this hotel to my friends and they were all happy. the rooms are excellent, the location is perfect and convenient and it was so cheap through agoda.
overall, great hotel!
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel is quite new, most drivers wouldn't know where it is. Therefore, simply say Ratchadapisek opposite of Poseidon (popular massage place, drivers will know).

the hotel situate on ratchadapisek rd which is the street of bangkok night life. the hotel is close to mrt whcih is very convenient way to travel around. also the hotel is close to the huay kwang market whcih opens at night and full of interesting things to buy. the room was also great with nice decoration. the only set back is that there is no swimming pool.

hotel sign a bit hard to find. bad time for visiting bkk while is flooded but staff seem calm and still easy going. not so much food / restaurant in the hotel area but you can walk up the street to find street food or ride down the street to several restaurants i.e. chinese and seafood. subway is close by, convenient for traveling on your own.
