Great location
Don't have to travel anywhere, everything is here
7.7
Minutes stroll to Sukhumvit walking area with lots of stalls for souvenirs and food. Its on Soi 11, with VW Vans converted into sexy movable bars, with 200Baht cocktails. Walk to Soi Cowboy, 100% better than Patpong (avoid Patpong, its a disaster)

Very nice hotel
Superb location, nice swimming pool, great breakfast
8.7
This hotel is located on Sukhumvit Soi 11, and that's ideal if you want to enjoy Bangkok's nightlife. Both Q Bar and Bed Supperclub are within 100 metres. The room was very nice with huge beds and flat screen TVs. The staff is very friendly however service can be hit and miss. The safe didn't work and it took them 2 days to get it fixed. The Wifi worked well only in some rooms. The buffet breakfast was very good as there is a lot of food to choose from.
Travel tip:
If you are going to take the BTS, try to take advantage of the free shuttle to Nana (the nearest station). The pavement in Soi 11 is rather narrow so it's not a very comfortable 10-minute walk to Sukhumvit Road.

Absolutely beautiful!
Large well appointed rooms, great service, amazing breakfast, convenient location.

We loved this hotel. We will definitely be coming back.
Travel tip:
This is the perfect hotel for Bumrungrad Hospital patients. So conveniently located and free Tuk Tuk service. The hospital free shuttle makes a stop here also. It is also convenient for downtown shopping and tours. The room was so beautiful and relaxing we wanted to move in.

Great service, location and comfort
Spacious and luxurious room, location was great

The room was fantastic, got more than what I expected as the room was huge, big king size bed and nice tv. Had lots of space and comfort.
Location was great as it was walking distance away from a train station and not far from the main areas in bangkok.

Nice hotel, great room, good location
Great room with a huge bed -- could have stayed for a month!
8.3
The hotel gave us a corner room and it was great -- big room, big bed and a sofa, bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. And all nicely appointed. The hotel is on Soi 11, which is convenient to the Nana BTS, and there is a lot of good food available in the area, on soi 11, soi 7 and soi 5. There is free tuk tuk service from the hotel to the BTS station, which helps, as the BTS is a good 10 minute walk from the hotel. The only drawback was the breakfast -- served in a small room on the mezzanine floor. From 8:45 to 9:45 am you may have to wait to be seated. The breakfast is very basic and not at all up to a "5*" hotel standards. All-in-all, a great hotel for the money, and we will definitely stay at the President Solitaire again when in Bangkok.
Nightlife Tip:
If you want good Thai food with good music, try The Saxophone Pub and Restaurant, which is located close to Victory Monument on Phayathai Road. You can get there on the Skytrain , exit at the Victory Monument Station. It opens at 6:00 pm., but is better after 8:00. Their tom yum kung is among the best.

good location and very good quality of the hotel

very close to soi11 asok and nana, but in a secluded silent side street, very nice and wide entrance and lobby and kind staff. prices are expensive if normal quote, while very convenient if you catch a good promotion. Just search and ask.
Nightlife Tip:
great nightlife at any lever, from classy to dirty, in Soi 11 and between Asok and Nana...

vey nice rooms but quite busy at night
8.3
5 star got my attention and I suppose it could be rated so. but the receptionist English speaking skills were disappointing. Otherwise all other aspects of the staff were ok.
Food and breakfast were pretty good although thinking about it again the 5 star rating kinda sets one up for something better. Same with the gym, one look and I walked out. So, guess the best part were the rooms otherwise everything else was so so...
Nightlife Tip:
very busy at night along soi 11. use the motorcycle taxi to get to the bts.
