2. Comfy bed
3. Good security at night
4. Good wireless connection
1. We wanted to go to a destination and told the porter to tell the taxi driver to follow the meter. but somehow taxi driver said NO. Taxi driver gave us a flat rate. we were disappointed.

Location.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel food is excellent.
Nice swimming pool and fitness area.
Rooms need to be renovated lacking polish, plumbing slightly blocked?
Excessive numbers of staff can be quite intimidating at times.
This was my fourth stay at the President Solitaire and it had been almost four years since my previous stay. As per usual the staff were warm and friendly something that you come to expect from this hotel. Sometimes however three or four staff opening the doors for you is a little excessive (eager for tips??). The rooms are in need of refurbishment, furniture is looking worn and tired, there is buildup of mold and mildew on grout in parts of the shower. It was still more than adequate as a choice of accomodation however I would be reluctant to ever pay full rates for the mentioned reasons. At a discount it still represents pretty good value. The hotel food was also better than ever.

Huge luxurious room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet rooms at night AND very close to all the action.
None really - the only drawback was the free drink had to be soft or a beer.
The solitare suite was very big - almost 900 sq feet (that's 80 sq m). The bathroom was luxurious with both a shower and a big bath. The kitchenette and living area was great as was the HUGE bed with flat screen. The best feature was the fact a couple had enough space (with two big desks) to have their own work areas and not get under each others feet. Something the usual pokey hotel rooms don't allow for. Don't go for the cheaper Premier suite option the Solitarie rocks. (it is also noticabley bigger and better laid out than the more pricey Platinum suite in my opinion)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You're in Bangkok! There is so much to do all within a stone's throw (or short cab ride) of Sukumvit Road. For sightseeing the Siam Aquarium shark and stingray feeding is a sight to see.

- Very nice big room with everything you need from the big fridge, microwave, cooking plate and utensils, nice bathroom (except shower, see below) to the plasma tv, dvd, wireless internet at no extra charge.
- Looks and feels luxurious.
- Great staff - polite and service oriented.
- Close to the main Sukhumvit road, yet quiet enough and away from the hustle and bustle as it is located at the end of the street.
- The carpets in the corridors MUST be changed. They smell pretty bad.
- The shower doors!! To get in the shower you have to push the doors away from you. Problem is because of the small shower size, once you open the door there is hardly any space to get in! You literally have to very slowly squeeze in between the door and the back window of the shower. Very very inconvenient!! It's easy to fix, simply change it so that the shower door is pulled towards you to get in. Not rocket science.
- A nice to have would be a faster high-speed internet.
It's a nice hotel, located at the end of soi 11. Close enough to sukhumvit yet at the same time pretty quiet.
Hotel is/feels upscale and is very good value for money. Staff are very polite and service minded. Rooms are big and cozy and you've got pretty much everything you need in them.
I've read in prior reviews that the carpets in the corridors were to be changed. They still hadn't been on my floor. They really must do so. They should also definitely fix the shower doors as explained above.
I've stayed in plenty of 5 stars in bkk and this hotel has nothing to envy them on all counts. Great value for money and intend to stay there on my next visit shortly!

not many people and quite
too old and quite far away from the main road
I booked 2 rooms but they gave me the penthouse.
It was ok since it has 2 seperate bed rooms and toilet but I could not sleep becasue of the air conditioner fan noise on the roof top and also the breakfast was not good...

Big room with balcony and good decoration for european style
far from main road and use recycle bottle for bath and shampoo
it's located in the good location which in the central of Bangkok for shopping and Business places and also not too far to reach BTS skytrain & MTR Asoke station. The price is reasonable and afforable for both business and travel trip.

- great service from the staff
- rooms were adequately furnished
- great facilities
- location was a little far from the main streets,
either had to walk a long way out or had to grab a cab everytime I leave the hotel.
I think it was definitely value for money given the type of service that you receive for the price that you pay. The staff were very hospitable, and attended to every small problem which I had during my stay at the hotel. The internet connection was great as well. They had private internet connection for every few rooms which made it easy for me to do my work without any hiccups. To sum it up, I really enjoyed my stay at the President Solitaire and I would definitely return to the same place the next time when I'm back in Bangkok
Restaurant Tip : There are a lot of shops selling delicious food along the streets of soi 11 so do check them out.

Sukhumvit Location
Large rooms, flat screen TV, free internet in room
Gym (running machine, stationary bike) and pool
Close to Skytrain
Small, quiet, discreet property
Near to entertainment - Around corner from Q-Bar, Bed Supper Club
Rooms a little dark - no balcony
Bit of a walk to Sukhumvit (5-10 minutes)
From what I can tell, President Solitaire is the nicest President Group property. Popular with long-stay guests and ex-pats, the hotel is very quiet and lobby is low-key. Location is far enough down Soi 11 that you are away from the noise of Sukhumvit but still close to the action. Rooms are large and well appointed, beds are big and comfy. Staff is attentive, friendly, and discreet, with quite a few having worked there for many years making repeat visits particularly smooth. I usually stay here when in Bangkok.
Restaurant Tip : Small Italian restaurant just around the corner makes a good thin-crust pizza and delivers

Large rooms, like apartments.
This hotel was once a great idea, but it has tired over time. The rooms were beautiful (though a bit oddly laid out), nice floors, large bathrooms, plenty of closet/dresser space. Now, things aren't as nice. There was a noticeable mildew odor in my entrance way/foyer, some of the grout in the bathroom had mildew on it, some stained furniture, patched and re patched grout in the bathroom, etc. Basically all of the carpeting in the hallway on my floor was stained. Part of the ceiling in my foyer was sagging, looked like there had been some previous water damage.
That said, the staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating, always with a smile. I did not find it too far to Sukhumvit, and rather enjoyed the walk. On those few occasions on which I was in a bit of a hurry, they were quite happy to drive me down Soi 11 in the hotel's own tuk-tuk. And, at the special Agoda rate, it was, indeed, a very good value.
All in all, I might stay here again. Actually, I think that it would take relatively little investment to add another star to this property and restore it to what it once was. I'll be interested to see if management/ownership does it.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel is on the far end of Soi 11, which has recently become a happening soi. Don't be afraid to walk to/from Sukhumvit, -- it's not really all that far (typically took me 7 minutes), and it's both fun and interesting.

Convenient area of town, good service
A little far from SkyTrain station, dark room
President Solitaire has nice solicitous staff, good facilities, including a pool I enjoyed very much. I rented an apartment suite which is in a separate building. The suite itself was spacious. Using the television was a challenge as they provide three different remote controllers, none of which seemed to work. My room had a window which faced a retaining wall, rendering the room rather dark. Still, the overall experience was nice,

It's a 5 minutes walk to come back from the skytrain) or pay 10 THB and take a moto taxi.
Bangkok is noisy and this hotel is in a quiet street, so the street noise doesn't arrive to your bedroom. It's centrally located with a free shuttle to go to the public transportation system. Room service is decent and I get my laundry back the same day by 3PM if given before 9AM, so I can travel with a small suitcase.

large spacious suite of rooms
a little walk from sukhumvitt
the president solitaire is a modern, well looked after property. Its suites off rooms are truely huge, with modern appliances and fittings. it represents astonoshing value for money! if we had one comment it would be that it is a little walk from sukumvitt, but is that a bad thing?
