OK hotel, but far too busy

This hotel isn't bad for the price you pay and the views from the rooms are very good, however the problem is that it's far too busy. If you are looking for a quiet hotel then you should look somewhere else. There are numerous restaurants but they extremely expensive and due to the fact that there isn't much around you will struggle to find alternatives. There are much better hotels in Bangkok than this.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Get to the swimming pool early to get a sun bed otherwise you'll be disappointed.

Worth going but away from public transport
Great place, fine four star hotel

the hotel is great. the suite had a great view over bangkok. staff friendly. but the hotel is far from public transport. the pool is invested with russians and the breakfast is sufficient but the area to small for such a big hotel.
but i would stay here again in the future, because i know bangkok very well.

Enjoyed my stay at the Prince Palace. Was in the suite room which was very spacious. Big bedroom, plus a living room. Facilties are good (eg. Swimming pool etc), and great buffet breakfast... The hotel is huge too, so its a place where you can spend the day and relax.. PLenty of restaurants inside the hotel to eat, however the service in the restaurant beside the pool was a little ordinary... Better to eat in a place like Siam which is a suburb in the City.

If breakfast is included in your rate and you are checking out prior to breakfast opening, then make sure you order a breakfast box at reception the night before checking out. They will then give you the breakfast box on checkout.

if you are traveling with family, it is a good choice for you.
the family suit room is big and the hotel is located near to many tourist point such as grand palace,china town & khao san road) and can be reachable using taxi
as it is always jam in bangkok, you can take boat to siam area and it's a very interesting experience. please use meter during heavy jam period, if not the price will be double for even trip more. no btr or mrt around this area but you can take boat to siam area and the brt us just 2 minutes walking distance from the port. the boat is just until 8pm.
the breakfast is above expectation but limited choice. i stayed there for 4 days and i feel so boring after looking at the same dish every morning.
there are shop and stall for wholesales shopping(mostly cloth) and it's so cheap as to compare to other area such as patpong and caktuchat.
no night life around this area(no pub and no night market),the only thing i get is 711 when we coming back around 11pm. as i am going with my parent, it is not a big deal for me. furthermore,you can travel everywhere using taxi as the price is quite cheap.
the cons of the hotel is internet! no free internet and they charge 600 bath for 24 hours and i think this is unreasonable. the hotel is 4 star but i think my overall image just 3 star. no complaint on the staff performance but the room itself. the only things i get is just shower cap,tower,shampoo and bath foam. no comb and other extra shower kit provided which quite disappointed me for a 4 star hotel.
i will still come back to this hotel if i travel with my family as the service i get is equivalent to the price i paid.
Shopping Tip:
Whole sales shopping for cloth around the hotel. The price if much more cheaper compare to other places!

this was our first hotel after traveling for 22 hours from the usa. the room we stayed in (a suite) was on the 22nd floor and windows went through the living room and bedroom (great view!). we really enjoyed breakfast...had french toast, omelette station, breakfast meats, fried rice, noodles, fruits, and much more. i will admit the western breakfast foods (hasbrowns, etc.) weren't quite the same as in america but they were fine. the pool was beautiful staff was very helpful. 7-11 is very close and if you walk over the bridge there is a nice evening market where you can great thai street food
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
As this was our first time in Thailand and our first experience with Tuk Tuks, be wary of the them. We caught one outside of the hotel to go to the pier to take a ferry up to the Grand Palace and initially he wanted 300 B but we got him down to 50 with an understanding he was taking us to the public pier. He pulled over and tried to take us to a gem shop (we declined of course) and then he dropped us at a pier (not the public one) that charged a large sum for their tours. So we had to walk to the public pier. So just be cautious with the Tuks Tuks even outside of the hotel.
