Nice, big hotel - big rooms, good value for money

Shopping Tip:
the bo bae market is very good, with better prices than mbk.
if you want to go nationa stadium-area, i recommend to take the "river bus".

The hotel is okay for a short stay and location is good as it's in the middle so never too far to travel. The rooms are dark and quite old so it does disguise the dirt quite well from a far but the it doesn't disguise the smell of smoke (despite reception confirming it was a non-smoking room).
Bring earplugs, the music from the bar can be noisy despite being in the 19th floor. But generally for the value it's not a bad hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ask a tuk tuk driver to take you on a tour of Bangkok. They are happy to wait while you take photo's. It only cost us 80 baht, the catch being they would like to take you to a tailor for 10 minutes and they get free petrol. It's worth it though and good fun!

Great hotel, we had a problem on the first night as there were five in our party, one couple and three males and they had given two of the guys a double bed rather than singles. The hotel sorted this problem very promptly. The hotel is in a great location in this vast city. The rooms were very spacious and clean and because the pool area was on the 11th floor you got a fantastic breeze to cool you from the heat of the day. I would stay here again and again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Great markets around the hotel and a short tuk tuk or taxi journey to the main attractions of the city.

The hotel is 4 star with 1 star rating of staff, high level staff are rude and dont want to help with problems, younger staff are inexperienced. Internet is hopless, you have to buy a password card depending on how much time you want will depend on price; everytime I used the internet their was a problem and the staff expected you to just buy another card.
The breakfast is not good variety and was always cold as there are so many people (caters for many large tour groups), most times you struggled to get a table, then you would need to clean it yourself, collect your own cutlery, cups of tea and coffee. There are much better services and hotels available than the Prince Palace.
Travel tip:
Look elsewhere for accommodation in Bangkok, theres plenty others to choose from in better locations.

Surrounded by the Prince Palace....a host of clothing stalls in the market and the first 6 floors of the Prince Palace.....an enjoyable shopping experience

The day of my check in is my birthday, when i asked if there are any freebies or free upgrades, nevermind if there is none, but not even a Happy Birthday greeting? That is so wrong.
Oh yes, the front desk staff treats you like a criminal during check out.
The front desk on the first floor will offer you gems, please do not accept.
The rooms are fantastic though
Food is good but the price is very steep, even for Thai standards.
Shopping Tip:
Bobae Tower is the retail hub in Thailand i believe, you can get many clothings much cheaper than other parts of Thailand, and even Jathuchat.

Pool, pool bar, rooms are tidy and very spacious, all-in-one control for lights/tv, very quiet

staff were very friendly. close to many tourist spots. hotel is very clean and rooms are nicer than i expected. i would recommend my friends and family to stay at prince palace hotel.

Make sure to confirm the price a few times before accepting a ride in a tuk-tuk.
