Hotel is near the financial district and is quite quiet. However, there are good restaurants along and across the hotel Getting around was a breeze with a train station about 10 minutes walk from the Hotel. Its about 10 mins walk to the Patpon night market.

Lovely confortable hotel - Nice location
Luxurious room, large bed with soft sheets. Lobby area has refreshing lemongrass scent. Near Chong Nonsi BTS.
8.3
I picked this hotel cos of its proximity to Healthland Sathorn - came to Bangkok for a girls' shopping and spa holiday.
Friendly concierge staff. The Bell desk men were very helpful with directions, as well as arranging a taxi to get 5 of us with luggage to the airport on departure date.
The room was spacious and had great views of the surrounding area - ours faced the BTS station. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were so lush and soft to sink your head into. Some of the electrical sockets were a bit old and didn't work very well with our travel adaptors.
Room cleanliness was alright - though I noticed that a piece of crumpled paper I dropped underneath the desk the night before was still there after the room had been made up. The bathtub ledge below the mirrored wall was quite wet, even though none of us had used the bathtub yet.
When I was there, it seems 2 of the hotel's restaurants were under renovations - so I was unable to try their buffet breakfast. Anyway, breakfast wasn't included in their "Stay 2 get 3rd night free" promotion.

Nice location - to spa and shopping
Really comfortable bed. Near Chong Nonsi BTS
8
Sofitel Silom is within walking distance to Healthland Sathorn, which is a nice decent, affordable spa.
Chong Nonsi BTS is a short walk away, so it connects with Siam and the main shopping areas.
Also Chinatown (Yaowarat) with all its restaurants and food stalls are just a short taxi ride away.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel pool is quite small and there were only a few lounge chairs. Not really suited for swimming, more like soaking. There is a jacuzzi area near the sauna though.

Nice French/Thai mix of cultures
Nice decor, excellent location, good restaurants
9.7
it was a lovely hotel with nice decor, beautiful city views and thai hospitality. we purchased an upgrade with $50 that gave us breakfast, access to the lounge for free afternoon tea buffet and coffee (throughout the day). skytrain station 7 minutes walk, short taxi drive to river to access boats. chinese resto was excellent, grill restaurant was a little slow. the pool was tiny so not for swimmers. spa is expensive but concierge recommended more affordable spas close by.

The executive lounge is highly recommended

I travelled with my husband and two adult daughters. The hotel cateresd for all our respective needs. Priximity to night shopping made it an excellen tlocation. Travell to various tourist attractins ws also easy.
Travel tip:
Be careful of tuk-tuk drivers, they may be more expensive than a taxi. Insist on taxis switching on meters before you take off. Also negotiate the price before you accept the ride.

The hotel was exceptionally great, the hotel assistance was always ready and available. We enjoyed New Years eve at the pool area and we were able to get incredible shots of the fireworks. Public transport and tour bus were easy to access.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It best to see the City/Country via a tourbus. You can get on and off on the samme ticket for 24hours
