This is probably the best value top class hotel in Bangkok. Its location is often seen as inconvenient, but that is not really a problem as taxis are always available and most places are a quick and inexpensive ride away. There is always great live music playing in the lobby in the evenings - brilliant to listen to while sipping a drink. Electrical sockets accept multiple plugs.
Friendly, efficient service. The staff go out of their way to help. Good restaurants - Japanese and continental - both of which do magnificent buffet spreads.
Poor selection of TV channels. Location is not central, but there are always taxis available outside the lobby.
- Restaurant Tip : Try the excellent Japanese buffet.

All round, the Radisson gets my vote as one of the nicest hotels in Bangkok, and I have tried quite a few. Some others are still being built! And staff elsewhere tend to be jaded and surly. The staff at the Radisson are outstandingly helpful and it is also cheaper than other hotels, because they realise that not everyone wants to be outside the centre. But bear in mind that in noisy, dirty Bangkok it's a great advantage not to be in the centre. They also provide regular shuttle-bus service to the places you want to go to. Excellent - go there!
Who wants Sukhumwit sleaze when you can stay at the delightful Radisson, with its lovely staff and tranquil atmosphere. It's called 4.5 stars, but is more like a 5-star hotel, with a beautiful lobby, large rooms, evening music. The Thai restaurant on the 24th floor is excellent and not expensive, especially compared to restaurants at the other hotels. The Radisson is not just good value for money, it gets my vote as nicer than the Sofitel on Sukhumwit and evening the Hilton on the river, where some staff can to be surly or tricky.
It's not on the Skytrain or MRT underground, but you can get the MRT to Pra Ram 9 and get a taxi five minutes from there very chaply, so it's no bother, and you stay out of the noise and pollution.
- Shopping Tip : Bangkok is a mecca for shopping. Best value: MBK. Intersting craft items: Lumpini night market (but bargain them down to a quarter of what they ask.

I would probably stay here again, friendly staff. English was a little mixed up on checkout, but other than that everything was fine. No problems at all.
Nice staff, good value for the money.
Neighborhood not so good, very loud bar next door could be heard through closed windows.
Very good hotel

This is really a 4 stars hotel. It is the best one that I have stayed in Bangkok because staff are friendly and affordable. Rooms are large and clean and has comfortable furnitures. Breakfast is excellent with very wide choice. I have stayed here three times and there were no problems. I would like to come back and stay here again. Also I want to recommend this hotel for everybody who likes luxury and quiet staying.
Staff, room, breakfast, swimming pool.
A bit far from most famous places.

The experience at Radisson Bangkok was a satisfying one overall. The hotel is old and in need of some major renovation but the rates are reasonable and the service is warm and friendly. The location is a bit off the beaten track but cross over to the RCA just across the road for an unexpected good time with locals. And then there is a shuttle to the underground.
The rooms are large and comfortable, but at that time my room had a strong cigarette smell though it was a non-smoking room!
Overall though this is great value for money for families and people on holiday who are not in a hurry to get anywhere.
Large Rooms, reasonable rates, good service
Slightly run-down rooms with kind of smell, location
- Nightlife Tip : RCA (Royal City Avenue) the hangout of the young and happening locals in Bangkok is just across the road and worth a visit for a non-touristic experience.

It felt pleasant to get an early check-in at 8-30 in the morning (the best part of the stay). The room though announced prepared, the WC wasn't sanitised. The day I landed, a state of emergency was declared by the Thai Prime Minister so we were a little anxious about the situation. No newspaper was supplied in the room next morning. The cable TV too offered only a couple of English news channels. Besides, I found the absence of an Indian TV channel a little odd since there were a couple of Indian tourist groups staying at the hotel.
While Wi-Fi being offered free of charge at many other hotels in the city, I found it rather expensive here. For a business traveller, it’s a pinch.
We found the staff very curt (in contrast with the Thai culture) and it made you feel as if you are housed in a security agency instead of a starred hotel. During my past visits, I have stayed in Amari Watergate, Amari Atrium, Holiday Inn etc. but except for Amari Atrium, I found my interaction with the staff generally pleasant.
Over-all, in my opinion the hotel is good only for the business traveller if he is not too keen to be more centrally located. Not suited for families.
Proximity to Suwarnabhumi International Airport
Quieter surroundings
The rooms are neat and comfortable
A little away from the central areas of Bangkok.
Very little choice of cable TV channels
- Travel tip : There is a convenience store (7Eleven)in the premises of the adjoining Hospital building.
Good and comfortable

This isn't a luxury hotel, but it was really good value with nice rooms, excellent buffet breakfast and a lovely spa, gym and pool area. I recommend the massages here. Next to the hotel is a great restaurant called Talay Club where you can sit outside in a beach-like holiday setting and choose from a really extensive Thai menu. Just across the road is an area called RCA which has a row of nice pubs and clubs. The shuttle bus is handy for getting to Siam shopping area. The staff were very helpful and arranged transportation when we needed it. I would stay there again.
Value for money, breakfast, Shuttle bus, proximity to local restaurants and pubs, pool and health club
Pool area a bit noisy due to proximity to motorway
- Restaurant Tip : Next to the hotel is a great restaurant called Talay Club where you can sit outside in a beach-like holiday setting and choose from a really extensive Thai menu. The food was really excellent.
