a good hotel near sukhumvit mrt / asoke bts. not very walkable on a hot day but hotel offers complimentary tuk-tuk till main road. lot of restaurants and massage parlors outside the hotel. the location is quite central and near to shopping malls - terminal21 and times square.
taxi to major attractions will cost around 150-200 tb. all main attractions - palace,temples- are situated near river front.
hotel offers a good breakfast buffet with lot of choices.
concierge is helpful in providing guidance.
rooms are neat and clean. some furniture may have lost the shine.

rembrandt hotel is in central location but down a quiet street...the service and staff are excellent...hotel is clean ...try the indian restaurant on the top floor...not cheap but wonderful view across bangkok

been to rembrandt hotel from 4 th till 7 th . selected this hotel after going thru reviews from trip advisor and was not at all disappointed. fast check in and goodacre from thr begining.we had booked 2 deluxe hotel but while cheking in founds the rooms to be a bit smelly and appeared not been used for quite some time. when this was pointed out at the reception, the most handsome manager immediately took charge andupgraded us to the executive floor. it was being a gesture of being concerned about the customer.
we have rarely found such a fantastic food any where . rangmahal for indian foood was out of this world with superb localtion on top floor andamazing view of bkk skyline.
even thier mexican foood joint was great and had a amazing singer entertaining the audience.red pepper the restaurant for thai foood also did not disappoint. over all we would give it a 5 star rating and would certainly come back next time out visit to bkk.
Restaurant Tip:
dosa king walking distance towards terminal 21 is gr8 joint for veg food.

The hotel was in a great location a little away from the bangela road hustle and bustle ,but still good walking distance.The staff had limited English however i seemed to still get my message across.It was very close to the gay community..I had to walk through gay massage people asking me for a massage all the time.
But you can walk around another street if you want to..
Restaurant Tip:
Very close to traditional Thai cooking restaurants with fresh seafood.

arrived 24 hours late, hotel was notified in advance.
when we checked in we were upgraded to the presidential suite, best and largest suite in the hotel.

Extremely helpful staff, very clean rooms. The hotel is superbly situated for night life and for business, close to the Sky train station and the local restaurants are very good. The staff are extremely helpful.

We stayed at a family room. Good space and channel for kids at TV. The kids were very satisfied. That was most important for us. They enjoyed staying at pool, and staff was very friendly and open minded to them by making some fun with them.
As guest we felt very special when staying at Rembrandt, by positive and friendly dialog with staff. Highlight was breakfast bufè too, and the orange juice and fruits was extraordinary delicious. We were often visiting Terminal 21 in Sukhumvit. It was fantastic. We were carried first with the hotel`s Tuk Tuk to main street, and then by foot to Terminal 21.
Shopping Tip:
Sukhumvit in Bangkok has everything a large city must have.

Beautiful Hotel
In the heart of everything. Close to the Sky Train. Comfortable rooms. Wonderful breakfast. The lobby smells great.

This was my second stay at the Rembrandt. It is my hotel of choice. I won't even look for another hotel when staying in Bangkok. I look forward to my visits to Bangkok in large part because of the Rembrandt.
