Very big rooms with an excellent bad room. bath and shower are separate.
Long distance from skytrain.
This is the third time we visited this hotel.
They have a very good breakfast buffet.
We always ask a room on one of the higher levels of the hotel because on both side of the hotel you have an excellent look over Bangkok.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Shopping is very near at Siam square and the nightlife is around the corner with a lot of different cultures.

Been there before, the hotel's lobby area is better this time. Chairs / table and space created nice environment for waiting and readings.
The breakfast choices are plenty - good mix of local and western.
The lobby at the lift area need some improvement - windows to be cleaned, flowers may help to create nice environment with small cost increment.
At the cost I paid, I'm happy to continue staying at the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the hotel is near train station - Nana. Ideal to travel around Bangkok to avoid traffic jam.

Location is superb and staff were friendly and helpful
Been ultra critical parts of the hotel decor could do with a splash of paint
There was 4 of us travelling in our party and everyone commented on the hotels location which was the biggest plus. I would definately stay at this hotel again if I returned to bangkok. The breakfast selection was vast and the seating area was large which helped due to the hotel been busy.
Tuk Tuks or Taxi's are in abundance just outside the hotel for those needing to get from a to b.
The rooms are big enough for two to share and the cost of a room is more than fair.

Location - close to Sky Train, shopping;
Excellent food;
Good service;
Clean
Construction site in front;
Bath tub in my room cold do with a touch up (rust marks could be easily whited out)
Royal Benja is very well located, walking distance from the Sky Train (Nana station), right in the middle of the shopping area. Rooms are spacious and clean, with commanding view over Bangkok Benja. Restaurant Benjamas offers excellent food, breakfasts are generous and room service menu reasonably priced. There is a good size swimming pool and gym. unfortnately a construction has started just in front of the hotel and as it progresses, it is likely to adversely affect the conditions through noise and increased traffic in the already busy street.

.separate shower from bath
.To far away from all the good shopping
The hotel is fine but to far away from the main shopping area. The room was clean and staff friendly enough. For the price I think you can find better.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Make sure you visit the Emerald Palace and Jim Thompson house. If you go to the palace make sure you are wearing sleeves that cover your arms and pants that are past your knee's or you will have to hire a sarong and top from the side of the street.

Located at a very busy part of Sukhumvit area - many tourists at this time of the year.
Quite nice hotel - neat and clean. Breakfast buffet was quite good.
Service provided is grudgingly given, and you need to wait. Was surprised that there was no iron nor can you borrow it from housekeeping - you will need to pay for pressing your shirts and pants! The location of the sauna is not private and inconvenient.
At first sight, the Royal Benja is pretty impressive, with high ceiling and chandalier. On closer inspection, the hotel is pretty worn and needs a sprucing up.
The bellboys were quite ready to provide service, but you were not met at the checkin counter with a bright Thai smile! Understand that we dont speak the language - so there is still a need to give us assurances by greeting us with a bright genuine smile!
The rooms were neatly decoed and well proportioned. However, there are no additional sockets for power-ups for my laptop - and the connector supplied wasnt good (and they ask you for a 100 Baht deposit which was returned without fuss upon check-out.

Good Breakfast buffet
Good Sized room
Non-smiling service
No write up on hotel facilities
There was no fuss regarding our booking done through the Net, although a deposit swipe of the credit card was done. There was also no fuss when I check out the next morning.
The hotel is centrally located next to the famous Bhumrungrad Hospital. For similar accommodation at the Zenith Hotel nearby, the money spent was quite worth it.
The rooms were clean and neat, and more importantly, there is no soliciting of massages and such activities. Generally a good reasonable hotel.

Breakfast, Central Location, Etc
No free internet (not that its a thing in BKK)
Hard to call taxi since its kinda at end of soi
This was a decent hotel, I like it because I can walk to the NANA/ASOKE Skytrain stations. I would recommend this hotel if you are considering to be outside most of the time. I was able to bring my gf into the room without an issue, but I heard rumors that the security at the elevator does kinda look for prostitutes. But my gf is not even one and a decent business lady in BKK, so I am sure they can tell the difference. But just keep in mind to register your guest when booking to avoid any possible issues.

Dont use suade style couches, those collect dirt too easily
The Hotel is well situated, only issue is time trying to get available taxi, yes always ask the bellboy to get the taxi- do not go to the Taxi mafia thats right near the curb. Its strange that the Taxi Mafia wont even drive up if the Bell Boy is hailing for taxis. I guess the bellboy does know they are bad.
Breakfast was unusually decent for the hotel, I have not seen that many breakfast buffets at these price level hotels with plenty of variety. you need to dig in to the bottom of the steam trays to get the warmer food after a while.
I didnt get a chance to try the pool this time though.
Room was clean, fresh paint, good bathroom area.

Bedroom and bathroom are spacious, well appointed, and clean. Airconditioned. Comfortable beds. Tour desk in foyer. Internet available in room/foyer. Handy to Mana station. 24-hour supermarket 3 minutes away. Minibar in room. Swimming pool and gymnasium.
While an electric kettle is provided in the room, didn't see any sign of tea, coffee, or biscuits.
Royal Benja was recommended by travel agent friend who visits Bangkok frequently. Internet room rate was US$42 per night including breakfast which became US$50 when taxes were added. Concierge and reception were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast vouchers issued on check-in. Noted that breakfast catered for US/European, Asian, and Middle Eastern dietary requirements. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.
Shopping Tip : Looking for a tailor? just down the street you will find Ali's Dress Man. A friend recommended this establishment and I was happy with the slacks and shirts I bought.

Spacious rooms,great views over Bangkok, fantastic pool area
Room smelt of cigarettes despite us being non smokers. There were ants in one of the beds!
Lots of annoying taxi drivers touting for business outside.
Why pay a 1,000 baht deposit?
Have stayed here several times: standards appear to have slipped. Check-in entails sitting at a large desk with a lady interrogating all your documents. Staff are friendly enough/rooms are large but you have a feeling that you are not a guest - rather somebody the Hotel is doing a favour for by giving them a a room. The internet cafe remains expensive anda sthis is a large hotel you do not feel valued as a Customer as the staff are stand-offish (altho' the Bell captain's a good help). The pool area is one of the best in the whole of Bangkok's Hotels but overall we flet that we were just another number in the Hotel. The minbar was expensive. I would still recommend this place but they certainly need to tidy up their act on the points I have mentioned. Currently a six and a half out of 10
Restaurant Tip : Take a walk to La Mer seafood restaurant on Soi 7 - about 10 minutes walk away.

The hotel is ideally situated to all services. The rooms are big, clean and the staff is very helpful. The rates are competitive and I have stayed there about 20 times and will continue to do so.
Breakfast is sometimes a little tired alth0ough the staff are happy to refresh some of the dishes that are getting very low.
I have stayed in many hotels in Bankok in my 15 years of doing business in that area. The Royal Benja is one of my and my colleagues favourites as it is very centrally located, has very clean and good sized rooms. There is no aesthetic extras like flowers and pot plant arrangements as what you see is what you get. I like this and suspect that the extra hype would ensure the rack rate rises. There are many facilities including massage, tailors, bars, supermarkets and restaurants in the very close area and transport by either tuck tuck, motor bike, taxi or the sky train to any other part of Bangkok is a simple and enjoyable journey.
I use the swimming pool and gym regularly on all my overseas travel and I can recommend both of these on the 5th floor of the Royal Benja. The pool has a great outlook over Shukimvit road and although one end of the pool is fvery shallow that will suit those people staying with small children. Breakfast is a great variety of dishes from many cultures and all clients can have a taste of these different dishes. It is also a hotel in which you can meet and form strong friendships with many of the other travellers.
Restaurant Tip : The supermarket up the end of Soi 5 towards Shukimvit road has everything you need to purchase and the big bonus is the cheap,and wide variety of plentiful food both western and Asian.
