The type of hotel I like.

I found none!

The Royal Princess is a little gem for good service, cleanliness & nice food(great hamburgers nice & petite). This hotel has a air of understated elegants.Me thinks the Thai Royal Court hangs out there. We saw the Crown Prince going to a dinner at the hotel. Its far from luxury but as good feel although there is no skytrain nearby its in a great part of the city.

Restaurant Tip : "The Mango Tree"& "Gabbages & Condoms" restaurants a must do.

Big airy modern rooms, with lots of daylight. Good food and very comfortable queen size beds and fine bed linen.

A little away from most nightlife and points of interest but still bess than AUD4 from anywhere in a taxi.

Thge Royal Princess Larn Luang is a real find. The hotel offers large airy rooms that feel and smell very fresh. It is a little away from most of Bangkok's action but is only a short taxi ride for the most part. It's worth the ride just for the quiet the hotel offers at night. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. They are more than just friendly, they are very welcoming. Keep and eye out for the Siamese twins at the front desk. They have a lot of fun confusing the guests.

Hotel Feature Tip : Always try and book room overlooking the pool at the front of the hotel. They are the lighest rooms

Nice staff so helpful on any matters

Little old but still very nice

The hotel is not a fancy new hotel, but has all what you need. Nice staff, big pool, very good breakfast to a very reasonable price. The hotel is located very central in the old city, in walking distance to many of the temples and markets.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Near Kaosan rd (funny street market)

not bad but too too far from everything Guest Rating: 7.3

good locatioin if you are visiting the UN building pool was good for laps concierge staff were very helpful

curtains dont close properly lights in wardobe stay on all night (unless you disconnect the bulb) location is too far from everything

This hotel is old and starting to show its age, but its pretty cheap and the service is good. The best feature is the close proximity to the United Nations building. If you not in towns for a meeting at the United Nations, then its too far away from the main areas of Sukumvit and Silom (at least 30-45 minutes in a taxi). A good breakfast is included in the price.

Very kind staff, very nice and proper rooms. The next time i go i will surtenly take this hotel again. Food is very good.

Near the main road for the noice but you get use to it.

from the first time i saw this hotel i liked it. It was clean, the staff was very kind and you can eat different kind of food. Its quite and still near the centre of bankok. You can use tuk tuk or taxi both are very cheap. I know i take the same hotel next time i go to bankok.

Shopping Tip : there is a nice market nearby, and the centre of bankok is also nearby only 65 bath by taxi.

It was placed very central.

Need some finishing up, its an old hotel.

The hotel has been around a few years and are in the need of some finishing up. Although its a hotel that's ok and a very helpful staff. The service is excellent and i felt good when a were eating breakfast etc. The taxi service was excellent with both limo service and cheap outside taxi service.

Shopping Tip : World center shopping mall is good.

Spacious, tidy, friendly staff. I had a deluxe room with balcony over looking the swimming pool. Pool was good too. Breakfast buffet was comprehensive.

Whole place was fine.

Whilst people have complained that they couldn't walk to many temples and other tourist sights getting a taxi was really cheap. That left plenty of energy in the humid hot conditions to spend more time exploring an area. Also walking for many hours in the pollution is demanding on the lungs.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take taxis-cheap and you get to see so much more of the city.

Large and quiet rooms in noisy bangkok is appreciated. Good location if you plan to visit main tourist attractions (grand temple etc).

Traffic is worse than average in Bangkok. Taxi is needed always if you want to access skytrain or metro. 7-eleven just 200 m away, but the 5 lane traffic makes is impossible to cross over without local help.

Rooms were impressive after Hongkong. They are very large with nice view (depending on side of hotel you are located to). Royal princess keeps the service standard very well. Breakfast better than in many average hotels. Hotel is close to tourist attractions, which makes is ideal for visiting Grand Palace, Sanam Luang, Golden mountain etc. However, this area has more government administrative buildings around. So, taxi is regularly needed to access shopping areas or other parts of Bangkok. Taxi to MBK shopping mall / skytrain station takes 20 minutes.

Shopping Tip : Seven-eleven convenience store is 200 m away, but requires patience to cross the road - no traffic lights.

Overall we found this hotel very pleasant...and it was really good value for money. We extended our stay in bangkok and decided to stay at the hotel as it was really comfortable. It was slightly out of the main hub of bangkok - but taxis are so cheap that you don't notice the difference...we would definetly come back to this hotel.
