The hotel gives you 2 complimentary bottles of water each day, which is nice in Bangkok's heat. It is close to a pier where you can catch the water taxi. The balcony is nice and roomy. Very good breakfast buffet, with something for everyone.
The walls were clearly dirty- so much so that you could see the outline of the headboard on the wall. The beds had been moved, and a dark, dirty outline was left in their place. It would be nice if the balcony door had a screen. There are too many bugs at night to leave the balcony door open for fresh air. The drivers at the taxi stand by the front door are very pushy, constantly trying to sell you tours.
My stay here was average. They forgot to send my driver to pick me up at the airport, so I had to wait 45 minutes for him to arrive. Once at the hotel, he tried to charge me 1400 baht for the ride, which was already paid. (Not to mention, a taxi to the airport is only 400-500 baht.) During the whole ride tot he hotel, the driver was trying to sell me tours. This happened every day when I walked by the taxi stand as I exited the hotel. He just wouldn't take no for an answer. Once I arrived, the hotel had a hard time figuring out my reservation. They eventually got me into a room, which was decent. I was impressed with the amount of floor space- this is not a tiny hotel room. I did wonder how clean the room really was when I noticed the dark dirty outline of the headboard on the wall, where the beds had been apparently been moved. The location is average. It isn't particularly close to any of the tourist attractions, but a cab or tuk tuk ride isn't very expensive. I didn't care much for the shower. It wasn't particularly warm, and the water pressure was a bit weak. Having said all of that, the stay was OK. I wouldn't say it was great, but it was a decent experience.
Shopping Tip : Exit the hotel and turn left, then walk to the main road and turn right. About a mile down the road you will find a McDonald's, and next door to that is a grocery store. The grocery store was very handy for keeping some snacks or extra drinks in the room.

Located right on the river, very peaceful, great breakfast buffet (included in price of room).
Somewhat distant from downtown, but if you like the express boats, there's one just around the corner. Very relaxing environment!
When you check in, make sure you are really getting a "deluxe" room (with river view) if that's what you asked for! Several times we have paid for "deluxe" but were first taken to a much worse room. If you ask, you'll be given what you paid for.
Travel tip : There are several really nice restaurants within walking distance (right on the river) if you're adventurous enough to venture beyond the hotel. Easy access to the river ferry is a definite advantage of this location.
