Nice staff though they can't speak in English

Safety -- is a big problem if you travel alone.
Overprice -- if u choose a standard room and facing the soi.
Remember -- to go back before midnight as they will lock the MAIN door as well.
(Don't worry, hotel staff will give you a key for main door)
Overall -- what a historical area, even the hotel style makes you feel like back to 80's... If you're expecting this, go ahead !!

Sala Arun is a nice boutique hotel near the Grand Palace and Wat Po.
PROS: good location, 2 blocks from river taxi, adequate breakfast(but slow), nice rooftop terrace overlooking Wat Arun(great for sunset drinks),nice attentive staff that is very helpful
CONS: limited luxury amenities, short staffed (if you are coming in after 6:00pm the process is a bit confusing and slow because the staff speaks limited English at this time
