Staff on a whole very friendly and helpful, always speak to you when passing. The golf cart to Nana Sky train was excellent and just a phone call away they meet you at the sky train and bring you home

Don't bring heavy suitcases as there are no lifts in the hotel, I was on the 3rd Floor so had about 6 flights of stairs to climb, not very good after a day walking around Bangkok. Rooms are basic and a bit on the small side but a kept very clean

Overall I found the hotel excellent value for money; you could stay in a worse hotel in Bangkok for a lot more money. The hotel is situated a little way down Soy 8 but with the golf cart on hand to take you to and from the sky train station at Nana this causes no problem, if you do decide to walk which I did on numerous occasions there is a good bar which serves food as well about half way to take a rest, plus the golf cart is in constant use so you can flag it down when walking. The rooms are a little basic and small but if all you want is a place to sleep and shower you could find worse, but remember there are no lifts in this hotel.

Restaurant Tip : If you do walk to and from the hotel there is a nice bar with an outside terrace called DET 5, good price serves a good range of drinks and food and the staff are very friendly.

Good service staff. Not a bad a location

No planning, No lift,

I have informed my arrival time before going to the hotel but when I got there they said they don't have any rooms available on lower levels because I came too early. I even paid for the night before. And because of that they gave me room on the 4th floor and imagine walking up the stairs four levels. They don't have a lift in the hotel. Very disappointing, I might not come back again.

Shopping Tip : Close by to Pantip plaza, About 30min on Taxi to China town, Close to MBK shopping center.

Small sized hotel, boutique style, at the end of the soi so quiet at night and only a 10 min walk to the main sukhumvit road. Comfy bed. Room a bit small but nicely designed

For the price paid, no complains. Good value for money

If you are a complicated traveller this hotel might not be for you. If you like a simple, well designed room nicely decorated in a central yet quiet location, do not hesitate. For disabled person, please note there are no elevators.

Friendly Staff, Free 24 Hr transport to Sukhumvit Rd, Quiet Area, Really Good Shower,

Small Room, No Elevator, No view from the window, only the roof of the next building

The Salil Hotel is quiet far down Soi 8, (we walked it the first time but took the free golf cart after that). The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they were always friendly and courteous. Our room was on the small side and could have been cleaner, there was what looked like a piece of gum stuck in the corner near the ceiling. Our stay at the hotel was pleasant but I think that there are better hotels in Bangkok for the same price.

tranquil

None

it is in the nana area, along the busy sukhumvit road. salil is on soi 8, one of the many many soi's (streets or lanes) on both sides of sukhumvit road. the beauty of the place is that it is about 800 metres from the main sukhumvit road. you can really get a good nights sleep, and certainly less noisy and dusty than those on or nearer the main road. soi 8 is interesting, there are two 7-11s, carts selling snacks, fruits, breakfast, lunch and dinner. and if you like to drink there are two pubs there, plus a couple of cafes too. you dont have to walk 800 meters into salil, they offer a complimentary tuk tuk (golf cart actually) service to/fro 24/7. salil is really very boutiquish, small number of rooms but very comfortable. i got a room with a bay window overlooking soi 8. just sit there, open the windows and watch the world go by. relaxing and tranquil.

Restaurant Tip : get out to the main road, turn right towards asoke BTS, you find Bukhara's - the best northern indian food i've tasted. if you want action, out to the main road, turn left go to soi 4, nana entertainment complex is there, try angel witch on the first floor, they have an interesting show each night at 1030pm. no cover charge.

Soi 8; ambience

a little bit far from Sukumvit

I liked this hotel alot. The room size was adequate; the bathroom was nice; everything clean and in working order. The location is good, on Soi 8. Very close to everything (shops on Suk and BTS station) yet far enough away from Suk that it was also quiet so away from the noise, hustle and bustle. I would definitely stay here again.

Restaurant Tip : Good Italian restaurant just up the street, close to Sukumvit.

Dinner is good with reasonable price and restaurant is very lovely. Will definitely stay again.

Athmosphere, clean and nice rooms, breakfast, transportation to Sukhumvit road

thin walls - sometimes you can hear neigbors talking,no elevator

Our stay at Salil was comfortable and we enjoyed the hotel. The Location of the hotel is very good -> Soi 8. Although the hotel is in the end of Soi 8, they have free of charge tuktuk service to Sukhumvit. Also the breakfast was amazing at Salil. They also rent movies for free at the reception. All in all, nice hotel, good quality fo rthe money paid for the stay.

Restaurant Tip : The "Soi 8" restaurant is having a cosy terass, if you just find a free table. Restaurant is situated in the beginning of the Soi 8 street.

Very Quiet end of the street, but only a 5 minute walk to BTS. They also have free shuttle to pick-up and drop-off from Sukhumvit to the hotel. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly.

Room 37 is a bit small, but Room 46 is much bigger with a nicer bathroom. No elevator :(

Overall, this is a good hotel. The staff are nice and the breakfast is good. It's in a quiet end of the street so there's no Partying noise. I stayed in Room 37 and it was neat and clean, but kind of small. They do have other rooms that are bigger though.

very nice breakfastv room and very friendly staff, rooms clean and pleasant

long way from Sukhomvit, BUT 24 hour golf cart made up for this' No lift in hotel- problem if you are on the top floor, , and 8 flights of stairs to climb!

The hotel is a nice small friendly boutique hotel. Small and friendly, and it is no surprise that it is always full. Nice well decorated rooms, with a good range of snacks at very reasonable prices, I particulaly liked the shower area. Although I never used it, there is a very good selection of DVDs to borrow for free The one drawback of being so farv away from the sukhomvit road is made up byb the availability of the free golf cart 24 hours a day The hotel does not charge for extra stayer in the room. Overall a pleasant stay and a hotel that is efficient, good value for money, and one i would go back to

Clean, modern, friendly staff.

Doesn't have a lift, so felt sorry for the poor guy who had to drag my bag up the stairs. Also is a fair way from the main road/train station but free shuttle makes up for that.

A nice quiet pleasant place, with a nice clean room and good bathroom. I only stayed there one night but I would recommend it and would like to stay there again. The older style bedroom windows that swing open are a really nice touch. Staff are kind, plus there are dvds to borrow free and a dvd player in the room. Although it is quite a long way down Soi 8 the free shuttle they run to the main street was always ready to go.
