My stay at Saphaipae Hostel was very positive. I stayed in the girls dormitory and loved the fact that in order to enter the girl section you needed a special key. Plus, each room has lockers to store your valuables while you're out exploring during the day. They also sell lock keys in the lobby. The hostel has a little outdoor area, and though it is very noisy, it was nice to be able to have an ice coffee outside in the morning while i checked up on my emails and planned for the day. This place is super clean, though it is a bit dark. The darkness didn't bother me too much because I was outside for most of the day. I would highly recommend this place to any single backpacker exploring Bangkok for a few days.

Overall great hostel. Large rooms with good beds! Large clean washrooms! Each floor has own TV room and laundry!!
Tasty restaurant! Great lounge area!

Near to riverbank (10minutes walk)
Budget. Clean. Fun. Friendly staffs. Good coffee

I took the bus (only 8b per trip) to Chinatown and watpo areas. Felt great to explore the area of interest by public transportation. Hostel itself is clean and good to stay. Also, comfortable beds!!!!!
