close to khao san road, and tot he drop off point for the aiport shuttle bus. cheap, too! security of the room was rather daunting at first arrival to the city - shabby windows that can be easily opened and accessed from outside. but all was fine. A bed for the night with a hot water shower and private toilet, located just round the corner from khao san road, and at a cheap price. what more could you ask for?
There's probably marginally cheaper places, and there's definately nicer places, but it was fine for me.
the staff are really friendly. There's also in-house internet access, which seems cheaper than anywhere around - but the computers are cranky and slow. Then again, why would you be wasting your time online when you're here?!
Hotel Feature Tip : pull the key off the key fob so you can leave the fob in the electricity activater thing when you go out - makes you feel a bit safer about leaving your stuff in the room!

the bus stops at the door,market 5 mins walk not a very friendly staff in sight,the room has no windows,no lift had to carry suit case up 3 floors not a very friendly staff in sight,the room has no windows,no lift had to carry suit case up 3 floors,taxi drivers very pushy every time you step out the door,had to call for the locke to get fixed,stayed there for 3 days before i got my room cleaned and fresh towels,soap etc.i would never recommend this hotel,there were better hotels down the street

best location, AE2 bus stop is just at the gate of the hotel facility is a little bit old the hotel is very easy to find, enjoy the convenience of airport express bus, and khaosan road is also within very short walking distance. if you come for the first time, and stay for just a short time, this hotel is a good choice. otherwise i recommend some other quiet hotel with better facilities

as title says its all about location small rooms but not a big deal great location to kal san road. very convenient to transportation. bus and taxi outside. tuk tuk everywhere. great rates for a place to crash espically if you are on a budget. food in area is amazing def hit up the street food. and lots of shopping or drinking if thats what you are there for. 500 bhat to airport i left early morning they refused to run meter but was 400 bhat on meter from airport to there including tolls. other wise a shuttle is driectly outside the hotel.

Great to get to the airport in the morning, bus stop outside 150 bhat.Nice cheap good restaurant only 100 mtr down the road. Decent all night security. Small padlock doord rooms. No wireless internet. Had to get a taxi minibus at 5am to airport, just outside. The van was too late so we got a share taxi for 300 bhat, toll incl. Located between Khao San Rd (5 mins) and Sanam Luang park (5 mins). At night around the park they have a BIG 2nd hand market Great location and cheap transport deals to be found in Khao San Rd, Only lock your bags well when they put them in the bus !!
Travel tip : Go to the night market at Sanam Luang Park every night.

Well, I suppose the location is good. They have an internet terminal downstairs with a bar just next to it. That's about it. The staff have a bad attitude who will do nothing to help you. And I should've known better, but I left a video camera in my room one evening and it was gone by the time I got back. After hanging around for 2 hours, they magically found it in a place I'd already searched a thousand times. Coincidentally, it was only once I'd threatened to inform the tourist police that one of their staff happened to find it. Cheap as chips, but crap as anything you could imagine. There are nicer hotels in the area and you'll pay only a little bit more, but by God do you notice (and welcome) the difference. Sawasdee KS is a dirty little hotel.

Location and relativly quiet we have stayed here before and we definitely got what we paid for, no hot water which is sometimes ok for bangkok to be able to cool down. prices seem to fluctuate so we did not book again as the price had doubled within a week, staff are ok for bangkok

Excellent location, clean rooms, comfortable stay Tiny bathroom, but it didn't really matter We had a great time at Sawasdee Khaosan Hotel. Enjoyed the stay there.

Near to the main Khao San street. Very convenient. The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. Cool! Breakfast was not pleasurable. I love this place. I took the airport bus from the airport, the bus stops right in front of the hotel. Very very convenient. It is also very close to the main Khao San street, but it is located off the main street, so night noise is minimal. Cool budget hotel. I would recommend it for sure to my family and friends. The receptionist are also friendly, thanks Sawasdee.
Nightlife Tip : Great nightlife at Khao San. I love it.

Fresh rooms, nice staff, cheap, not in the middle of khaosan road Breakfeast, you could hear everything in the corridor An ok hotel if you're only stay for a night or two in bkk. We stayde here when we were coming from koh chang to go to hua hin. The breakfeast was not much but then we didn't pay much for the room. Clean and fresh, staff was friendly. No problems checking in or out. Good that it was a bit away from khaosan road, easy to find from where the bus let us off.

Great locations, clean, professional, consistent, lots of services. We liked it, it could only get better by being cheaper I guess. We literally passed 5 of these hotels around the Khosahn road area while we stayed there. All of them are little and we had to walk 1 min to the other one for laundry and internet. If you take the AE2 bus from the airport it drops you off right in front of one so it takes a lot of hassle out of your first trip to Bangkok.

Close to Khaosan Road, Shopping. Fantastic Location close to everything! Temples, Khaosan Road, Shopping. The Food in the restaurant is good and people friendly and the Free breakfast is a bonus. My room was clean and room service good.

The location in Khao San is good. I booked for double standard room but they gave me just a single room... but I didn't realize.
After that my friend said my room was single.
I wasted my money.
And a housekeeper suddenly come in when I was in the room without knocking...it's unbelievable.

Good location, many useful facilities such as money exchange, airport bus station in front of hotel. room is old, less service minded staffs I didnt stay in this hotel, but did reservation for my turkish friends. I chose the Sawasdee Khoa Inn because it was its good location. Also the price was reasonable via internet. The hotel room was so and so. I experienced that during the checking-in process, the staff wasnt polite and helpful. He was annoyed to give us information. My friends needed to change the room inthe middle of thier first night because the problem in the bathroom. It was easy to get anywhere from the hotel but the staff seem to have less service mind.
