Close proximity to embassies. Also near sky train, malls, and a few nice restaurants.
The hotel was pricier than expected for its condition. Breakfast was nothing special.
Ideal place to stay if you want to be close to the embassies. It's maybe a 10 minute walk to the skytrain. Lumpini Night Market and beer garden are quite close by. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was alright. Breakfast was basic. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

Friendly Staff
Cheap
Clean
Breakfast was fine - continental style
Location
We decided to stay at this hotel becuse of the location. It is in a lovely neighborhood, the Mayfair of Bangkok without the horrendous prices. It is a bit dated, but is very clean and the staff are very friendly. I have just returned here again as we are flying out tomorrow, all of the staff remembered us and have been very helpful. I would definately stay again.

Consistently good service
The staff is quite cool and relaxed. Granted, that is part of what one finds in Thailand, but I feel like there is something special in the treatment. Service is a tricky thing to evaluate, because in reality when you sell a service, you are only as good as your last sale in the minds of your customers. This hotel has been consistently good in its service.

comfortable bed, helpful staff.
A bit dated and a little dirty around the edges
We arrived early on a flight from the Uk. Check in time was not until 2pm, the staff were very helpful and managed to have a room available by 11. The room was a little dated, kind of funny because it felt like stepping back into the early 80's. All the furniture had red trims nicely painted with gloss paint.
The hotel itself was well placed a short walk from the main shopping district of Siam, we found it difficult to find good reasonable places to eat unless you walked to the shopping centre.
The breakfast was excellent allthe usual, cereal, toast, fruit yoghurt and juice, plus some yummy cakes.

Good breakfast, helpful friendly staff, comfortable bed.
It was like stepping back into the 80's!!!!!!!
The room was fitted with lots of furniture all outlined in RED paint, quite funny to start with but could do with a little modernisation as it now looks alittle dated and dirty.
The hotel was situated about a 10 minute walk from the sky train and the main shopping district of Siam. This was good if you dont want to be in the tourist trap of Ko San Road.
The hotel itself was good if not a little dated and in need of a good clean! The staff were helpful and wherever possible did what they could to accomodate us, we arrived at 8.30am and only had to wait a couple of hourts for our room, this was good as check in was advertised from 2pm.

The location is best. East access to both Silom and Sukumvit. You can walk to the sky train station.
Bathroom is not perfect but not too bad.
It's not 5 stars but it's best at this price. Service is good. Bed is clean. Nice decoration.

Very near Rajdamri BTS and also close to UK visa office and consulate.
Staff were not sure on how to solve wireless connection issues.
This hotel is fit for purpose and near to transport links. The staff were very helpful and although fixtures and fitting were not brand new this is good convienient hotel. Also there is a good Thai food shop opposite.

1 Good price in the city centre.
2 Very convenient to the BTS and Siam shopping area.
3 The staff is quite nice.
4 Free internet access.
It is the 2nd time to live in this hotel. We feel it is so convenient for our shopping route due to BTS is just 10 minutes walk and also to the central shopping plaza. You can take the BTS to the famous weekend market at the Mo Chit station. The staff is very friendly and they could help us to early check in at noon when you just on arrival from airport. The room is tidy and big. In all we like the hotel and maybe will drop by again.
Shopping Tip : Good location to shopping area which saves lots of traffic fare.

The people in this hotel are extremely nice. They make me feel at home and try to simplify the check in /check out process as much as possible. Everything is quite straight forward. I will, without a doubt, stay at this hotel again. As always, thank you for the great service.

This was an excellent hotel in a very good location. Although the decor is somewhat tired the value for money makes up for that. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the in room tea and coffee making facilities are a great bonus. Paying extra for the hotel breakfast was a bit dissapointing as they only have a small buffet selection - continental style. As there are many eating places within 20 metres better to breakfast out.
Restaurant Tip : The resturant next door is great and has good music.

~600m from chidlom bts, with street food along the way
the cheapest on the area
free wireless
~600m from chidlom bts, with street food along the way
cheap/dirty/old
backstreet/smelly
staff doesnt speak proper english(common to thailand anyway)
it was the cheapest on the area(chidlom) and a bit far from the bts/chidlom central but i enjoy grabbing food along the way, like chicken/fruits/tangerine juice. even though it was a backstreet they had a nice restaurant with thai food and live music, mostly thais eating & a market. the staff was nice, even though they had trouble speaking english, but its common in the country. the hotel is rundown/carpet is old/bathroom was big/bed was confortable but too short (im like 1.65-1.7m) its also std in other hotels i stayed.
Restaurant Tip : nice ambient with live music.

No facilities at all, no pool/gym/etc
run down and badly maintained & old building
located on a smelly street. after checking out i managed to get a better hotel with pool/gym/jacuzzi/better restaurant with similar price around 2km from sawasdee but close to the metro, so its better to shop around.
Even though its like 600-700m from central chidlom & the bts, for the price i would say its well located. free internet, i couldnt log to the hotel wifi(free) but there was another hotspot with no password and i got ~50kbps so it was nice. the room was also not that well maintained but i was comfortable and the bathroom was big
Restaurant Tip : the restaurant was nice with live music, decent service/prices and mostly thais eating.
dont pay the 1-2 usd for the breakfast (i didnt but from other reviews its not good), just walk through the main street that leads to the bts/chidlom central and buy stuff on the street (i used to go with 25 baht for half a chicken on a stick so i could just walk and eat it, and complement with stuff from the 7eleven, its cheap)
