Price, staff freindly and helpful on the whole, quite near to Thong Lor Skytrain Station.
At end of poorly lit soi.
Room comfortable, quiet and with fairly decent decor but could have done with a small wardrobe.
Hotel at end of poorly lit soi so not ideal for walking back after dark but no problems encountered. Could have taken a metered taxi back back instead. Limited choice for inclusive breakfast but quality okay. Main reasons for staying here were the price and proximity to the Thong Lor Skytrain Station which proved to be very useful for getting around and saved me mucho baht in taxicab fares. Personally would probably stay here again unless decided on a posher more expensive hotel.
Travel tip : Skytrain day pass for 150 baht saves messing about with individual fares, and probably saves some baht most days as well. And there are a couple or so other types of Skytrain pass to choose from instead. The Skytrain connects with the underground metro lines at some stations for which separate fares are payable which is also very useful for getting around.

You get what you pay for here.....this is not really a criticism as much as an observation. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were attentive. The hotel is located some distance from the night life areas but it is close enough to the sky train that the distance is not overly inconvenient. The immediate area has some good dining and shopping options.

Close to BTS, breakfast is oke
ants, end of dark alley, looks old, staff do not share the Thai hospitality, superior room is same as standard?
We stayed at this hotel and you get what you get paid for.. but make sure you get the room you wanted we booked Superior but its the same as Standard? Ants in the room is not pleasant either, shower is a a chinese shower not very comfortable.. The hotel wanted 600 baht for us for a taxi to the airport.. we denied that and took a taxi ourselves for 251 Baht..and this hotel is close to the BTS but not in walking distance of the malls or store so you end up always taking the BTS. Room needs decoration also.
People in Thailand are friendly except most of tthe staff here
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take airport bus from Airport and arrange a taxi yourself when you go back to the aiprort saves you 300 baht

Good Location, Pleasent Staff
For the price no complaints, restaurant is very average but lots of local alternatives
This is a nice guest house located at the end of a quiet and safe street in a nice area of Bangkok. It's walking distance from the skytrain which will take you to all the main shopping areas. There are plenty of food options close by. The rooms are nothing special but they are clean and comfortable.
This is a no frills establishment and offers good value for money...if you need more....pay more!
Restaurant Tip : Some of the best street food can be found across the road on Sukhumvit Soi 38, the stalls open about 7pm and shut very late!

Proximity to Thong Lor BTS, convenience stores and restaurants around the corner, friendly hotel staff who can speak english
old TV, shower in need of repair, ants in room
I had a very pleasant stay at this idyllic and rustic looking inn - which is conveniently tucked away in a quiet corner off the main street. 7-11, drug stores, florists, opticians, fruit stalls, massage parlours, local delights and Jap/Korean restaurants are scattered around the hotel. If you are a budget traveller looking to stay near the BTS, this is your hotel.

convenient location and low price
little choice of breakfast for guests
The hotel is located at a very convenient place just by walking 2 mins out of the lane to the main sukhumvit road you can see many restaurants, drugstores, florists etc. Just below the Thong Lor BTS, which is about 5 - 6 minutes walk out from the hotel, you can find a restaurant that offers very nice thai food. This is my second time staying in this hotel, except for the 3-4 type of breakfast for the guest which doesn't taste good, there would be no other complains. However this round I got a little shock when i woke up to find the dripping aircon, and also a leaking tap which is difficult to turn off. Luckily the staffs were friendly and they can speak a little english and offered to change a room for me once available. Overall this is a recommended hotel to stay in if you were to go for a week long trip and feel low on budget. It is not gaudy and dirty like some backpacker inn, rather its idyllic, simple and tucked away in a convenient corner.

Cleanliness, charging for little things, and customer service
I have stayed here several times before, but this recent trip I must admit was the worst. Seems like this hotel is going down hill. First off the service at the reception was poor. Also for two straight days I did not have my room serviced. I asked about it and they said I had my sign up. But my sign was set to PLEASE MAKE UP ROOM. Also now they seem to charge for every little thing. Internet, water, you name it. I'm sorry my opinion is pay a little bit more and stay some place else.

Cheap. Lot of eateries around the area.
For it's price it's really not that bad. But don't expect a great place because it's not. It's just a well priced.
Really, you get what you pay for. For its price this place has all the things you need but don't expect to impress the ladies. I think it's great for budget travelers but not for those who wants to stay comfortably with some style.
Restaurant Tip : Good restaurants around the corner. I think if anything that was a plus.

Complimentary wireless internet, quiet location.
Customer service is a little brusque at times.
I arrived in Bangkok in Sep 2009 and spent a night at the Sawasdee. It's a cheap, decent place off Sukhumvit Road, but the Soi is quite a distance from the lower Sois on Sukhumvit, and it's difficult to do simple tasks like exchange money and surf the net. Apart from that, I enjoyed my stay, and moved out to get closer to the commercialized area.

Budget hotel, clean bed, convenient and near BTS station (Thong Lor). Internet access available (using coins - 10 bahts for 15 mins access)
A bit run down.4 storeys building with no lift.Have difficulty and tiring to go up for those staying at the 3rd or 4th floors.
I enjoy my stay at the hotel. The bed is cleaned everday. Free complimentary 2 bottle of water drinks daily. Situated at the end of a small Soi 57 (which can be a bit dark at night). However you can access to the Hotel via the busy Main road Soi 55. where a lot of stalls selling fruits , flowers shop and Japanese restaurant - you cut through to Sala Club (karoake) and you find the hotel just in front of you. Taxi to the Airport is about 35 mins . You can booked the taxi through the hotel for 300 baths. But you can actually get a metered Taxi outside the hotel for around 200 bahts.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Neaby Ekkamai Station, there is the Science Centre for Education. Entrane fee to the centre is 20 bahts which include entrance to the Bkk Planetarium, Aquatic Life, Science & Technology, Natural Science and Health Science.Buy a 1 days BTS pass for 120 bahts., you can travel to all BTS Stations and valid until midnight.I travel from On Nut to Mo Chit (Chutachak Market), then down to Victory Monument and interchange at Siam ( shopping Malls) to Saphan Taksin, get down and took a River Express Boat up the Chao Phara River to Rama 7 Bridge and back (Fare up & down less the 30 baths).Near Thong Lor station, there are a lot hawker stalls selling fruits, flowers and local foods.

close to the skyline
close to the airport by taxi: around 250 bath by night time and by daytime it's 200 baths: so much more cheaper than the aiport bus when you are at least 2 people.
the place is far from other sightseing places.
connection from skyline to MTR is expensive
expensive skyline
the price I paid was cheap but the room was smelly and humid. The aircon was really noisy.
The place should be convenient because it is close to the skyline but finally it is far from other seightseing.
The transportation is quite expensive in Thailand but never trust a tuk-tuk: they will always cheated.

Friendly staff
Nice breakfast
Nice room
Near the BTS skytrain
Need to improve on Cleanliness/old hotel furniture
Internet access should be free
Hotel frontage can be improved
More lightings outside hotel at night
Overall, the staff are friendly and hotel gives a cosy feel. It is pretty value for money for a hotel near to the bts skytrain,a 5 min walking distance, though not near the central of bangkok city. However, it can be improved especially on cleanliness and the furniture which are old. The hot water heater is too hot at times. And would be better if internet access is free. Would recommend it for a budget stay that is easily accesible to bts skytrain and city.
Restaurant Tip : The seafood omelette is very nice and crispy at the shop near the hotel across the road.

The hotel is very near the BTS Thong Lo station. The rooms are small but clean. They clean the room and change towels and sheets every day. It is peaceful and totally safe. The people try to help you. BUT the breakfast is very bad.

Handy to BTS Skytrain, staff spoke reasonable English, good restaurant.
Small, dark rooms without windows, furniture and fittings old and worn, strong cigarette smell
For a cheap hotel it is not too bad, but it is in a bit of a grotty area of massage parlors, and at the end of a very untidy, crowded soi.
In the immediate area are many bars, restaurants, and upper class massage parlors if there is such a thing, and it is very handy to the BTS Skytrain, although dodging traffic on the very busy main road can be a problem, especially after visiting some of the bars.
The restaurant attached to the hotel serves good cheap food and beerm, but the rooms could do with an overhaul.
Travel tip : Very handy laundry just along the soi with prices half those of the hotel, and the manager speaks some English.
