Refurbishment Update
With a commitment to provide quality standards, the Hotel is refurbishing the porte cochere, lobby and reception areas of the Shangri-La Wing from 13 November 2009. These are concealed from view and relocated to adjacent areas until scheduled completion by end of January 2010. While intermittent noise may be experienced by guests, these are confined within normal business hours only. The hotel continues to operate with uninterrupted service. Experience newly renovated Deluxe rooms, and enjoy the all-new swimming pool, Salathip, Angelini and NEXT2 restaurants along the River of Kings.

Nicely designed and furnished room. All expected amenities in place. Meals were as expected for this class of establishment. Staff was generally helpful Our stay was day with a celebration and the hotel seemed to have extra staff, some of whom did not seem particularly knowledgeable. A charge of the equivalent of US $7 for a very small bottle of Evian water seemed extremely excessive Overall it was a pleasant stay, the facility was as expected for its class, and the staff in general was professional. The hotel's location, on the river, is excellent, and the variety of restaurants is excellent. With the current economic conditions, its rate is quite reasonable

Five star hotel with very very helpful staff We enjoyed our two stays at two different rooms very much. The remodeling didn't seem to bother us.
