Fantastic stay in 5 star luxury!

Had a fantastic stay from beginning to end . Got upgraded to a suite which really ended our holiday in style. Very friendly helpful staff this place come highly recommended. Try the Italian restaurant.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to MKB on metro only 6 stops has all of your shopping needs for those "designer" labels.
Free boat to Asiatique.

Staying in the krungthep wing, included is breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and canapés. The hotel is immaculate and service first class.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Thereis a free shuttle bus to the MBK centre and shangri la boat to Asiatique.

Amazing service and value for money
Krupthep Wing, great rooms and suites with butler service

We had booked a Krupthep Wing Deluxe Balcony room but where upgraded to a Krupthep Suite, a huge 85 square metres room with 2 terraces, 2 bathrooms, 2 big flat screen tvs etc.
The Krupthep Wing rooms include a butler service, which among other things provide you with free daily drinks and canapés, free pressing of 2 garments etc.
The Krupthep rooms includes complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea which is served in the breakfast restaurant. Bare in mind that there is a dress code so you might want to avoid shorts and flip-flops for breakfast and tea-service.
Two pool areas, one exclusively for Krupthep guests which I imagine can be nice during high-season, when we were there there were plently of free sunbeds at both pool areas.
No location in Bangkok is perfect as everything is a bit far, but then again taxis are extremely cheap. The Shangri La provides great view of the river, but is also conveniantly located in the middle so that you can access both the big shopping malls and the old parts of town/palace etc without too much hassle.
Overall our stay was extremely pleasant, and we will gladly return for our next visit in Bangkok.
Restaurant Tip:
We ate at the Sirocco sky-restaurant in the nearby Lebua Tower (5 mins walk), where the food was good (but expensive), but more than anything the views over Bangkok are amazing.

Very expensive to eat or drink anywhere in hotel. Also they take their time in clearing the deposit on the room. Also very hard beds

Taxi people who pick you up or drop you off at this motel think you have plenty of money and are not afraid to con. I'd be saying I was staying somewhere near by, and a little less flash, to avoid this.

First Class Hotel
The Horizon Club Happy Hour - Free drink and snacks from 1730 for two hours and the view from the lounge across the river is wonderful.

This is a top range five star hotel and service, rooms and ambiance befit this rating. Don't expect cheap! Worth spalshing out for, for a romantic weekend.

Highly recommended. Room with balcony on the river was terrific. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. The swimming pool has a great setting.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The package with breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks and canapés is a great treat and good value.

Marvelous moment for anniversary

My wife and I spent a short break with the Horizon Club to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed our precious time there. The staff were very friendly. Though we had the Horizon Club breakfast on the 24th floor, but we would like to experience the main breakfast buffet at the Next2 cafe which gave perfect choice of food. The club river view room was great and we loved the bay window. Toilet was suburb.
We will never forget our memorable wonderful stay there !
