this is probably the best place for food in bangkok. it is by far the largest food buffet i've ever had. seriously, i could go there and eat 5 more times, i still wouldn't be able to try all the different variety of foods they offer: european, thai, japanese, indian, chinese, barbecue, seafood.

We've been staying at Krungthep Wing of Shangri-La as part of our honeymoon. Upon my request we received a special welcoming with flowers, chocolate from their boutique, decorations and fruits at a very reasonable price. The room itself was in excellent condition and had every little thing you would need (or even not ever need). The river view from the balcony was excellent. The hotel interior is magnificent. We took several hours just exploring it. The swimming pool at our wing was never overcrowded and the personnel at the pool was friendly and helpful (as everywhere else in the hotel). The breakfast was fine.
Hotel Feature Tip:
They take a deposit of 6000 baht from your credit card upon arrival and return it back minus your extra charges (if you have any) when you leave

Nice location by the river side
fronting the Chao Phraya river. Near to the Airport Highway exit.

the location is ideal as it is near to the new airport highway exit.it is located next to the river side of the chao phraya where there are many tourist attractions such as the oldest temple and the kings palace. there are many boat stations nearby to take you for the river cruise to these attractions. hotel service is good and the facilities given are expected of a five star hotel.

this hotel follow international standard at high class. there were friendly staff and give good value for the money. the hotel is good for reversal type of travellers but if you look for a night life this is probably not the hotel for you.

It is a great hotel for a sight-seeing week-end; our room was great value with the discounted offer we got, with fantastic river views from two sides including the bathroom and a small balcony to get away from the air con. We loved the location as well in terms of easy access to the pier and the Skytrain. The pool and other services were OK - I liked the bite-sized fruit on cocktail sticks they handed around occasionally at the pool, but would have expected changing rooms, not having to go up to the health club in the main lifts to get changed.
